- "The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.'
- The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
- "But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.
- "His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'
- "But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt.

- The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
- Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
- But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
- And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
- And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
