  1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
  2. Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
  3. As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
  4. Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
  5. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
  1. 奉我們救主　神、和我們的盼望基督耶穌之命、作基督耶穌使徒的保羅、
  2. 寫信給那因信主作我真兒子提摩太．願恩惠憐憫平安、從父　神和我們主基督耶穌、歸與你。
  3. 我往馬其頓去的時候、曾勸你仍住在以弗所、好囑咐那幾個人、不可傳異教、
  4. 也不可聽從荒渺無憑的話語、和無窮的家譜．這等事只生辯論、並不發明　神在信上所立章程。
  5. 但命令的總歸就是愛．這愛是從清潔的心、和無虧的良心、無偽的信心、生出來的。
 
 
  1. From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
  2. Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
  3. But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
  4. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
  5. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
  1. 有人偏離這些、反去講虛浮的話．
  2. 想要作教法師、卻不明白自己所講說的、所論定的。
  3. 我們知道律法原是好的、只要人用得合宜．
  4. 因為律法不是為義人設立的、乃是為不法和不服的、不虔誠和犯罪的、不聖潔和戀世俗的、弒父母和殺人的、
  5. 行淫和親男色的、搶人口和說謊話的、並起假誓的、或是為別樣敵正道的事設立的。
 
 
  1. According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
  2. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
  3. Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
  4. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
  5. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
  1. 這是照著可稱頌之　神交託我榮耀福音說的。
  2. 我感謝那給我力量的、我們主基督耶穌、因他以我有忠心、派我服事他。
  3. 我從前是褻瀆　神的、逼迫人的、侮慢人的．然而我還蒙了憐憫、因我是不信不明白的時候而作的。
  4. 並且我主的恩是格外豐盛、使我在基督耶穌裡有信心和愛心。
  5. 基督耶穌降世、為要拯救罪人．這話是可信的、是十分可佩服的．在罪人中我是個罪魁。
 
 
  1. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
  2. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  3. This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
  4. Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
  5. Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
  1. 然而我蒙了憐憫、是因耶穌基督要在我這罪魁身上、顯明他一切的忍耐、給後來信他得永生的人作榜樣。
  2. 但願尊貴榮耀歸與那不能朽壞不能看見永世的君王、獨一的　神、直到永永遠遠。阿們。
  3. 我兒提摩太阿、我照從前指著你的豫言、將這命令交託你、叫你因此可以打那美好的仗．
  4. 常存信心、和無虧的良心．有人丟棄良心、就在真道上如同船破壞了一般。
  5. 其中有許米乃和亞力山大．我已經把他們交給撒但、使他們受責罰、就不再謗瀆了。
