  1. 耶路撒冷王亞多尼洗德聽見約書亞奪了艾城、盡行毀滅．怎樣待耶利哥和耶利哥的王、也照樣待艾城和艾城的王．又聽見基遍的居民與以色列人立了和約、住在他們中間．
  2. 就甚懼怕、因為基遍是一座大城、如都城一般、比艾城更大、並且城內的人都是勇士。
  3. 所以耶路撒冷王亞多尼洗德打發人去見希伯崙王何咸、耶末王毘蘭、拉吉王雅非亞、和伊磯倫王底璧、說、
  4. 求你們上來幫助我、我們好攻打基遍．因為他們與約書亞和以色列人立了和約。
  5. 於是五個亞摩利王、就是耶路撒冷王、希伯崙王、耶末王、拉吉王、伊磯倫王、大家聚集、率領他們的眾軍上去、對著基遍安營、攻打基遍。
  1. Now it came to pass, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
  2. That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.
  3. Wherefore Adonizedec king of Jerusalem, sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,
  4. Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.
  5. Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.
 
 
  1. 基遍人就打發人往吉甲的營中去見約書亞、說、你不要袖手不顧你的僕人．求你速速上來拯救我們、幫助我們．因為住山地亞摩利人的諸王都聚集攻擊我們。
  2. 於是約書亞、和他一切兵丁、並大能的勇士、都從吉甲上去。
  3. 耶和華對約書亞說、不要怕他們、因為我已將他們交在你手裡、他們無一人能在你面前站立得住。
  4. 約書亞就終夜從吉甲上去、猛然臨到他們那裡。
  5. 耶和華使他們在以色列人面前潰亂．約書亞在基遍大大的殺敗他們、追趕他們在伯和崙的上坡路、擊殺他們直到亞西加、和瑪基大。
  1. And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.
  2. So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
  3. And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
  4. Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.
  5. And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
 
 
  1. 他們在以色列人面前逃跑、正在伯和崙下坡的時候、耶和華從天上降大冰雹在他們身上、〔冰雹原文作石頭〕直降到亞西加、打死他們．被冰雹打死的、比以色列人用刀殺死的還多。
  2. 當耶和華將亞摩利人交付以色列人的日子、約書亞就禱告耶和華、在以色列人眼前說、日頭阿、你要停在基遍．月亮阿、你要止在亞雅崙谷。
  3. 於是日頭停留、月亮止住、直等國民向敵人報仇．這事豈不是寫在雅煞珥書上麼．日頭在天當中停住、不急速下落、約有一日之久。
  4. 在這日以前、這日以後、耶和華聽人的禱告、沒有像這日的．是因耶和華為以色列爭戰。
  5. 約書亞和以色列眾人回到吉甲的營中。
  1. And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
  2. Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
  3. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
  4. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.
  5. And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.
 
 
  1. 那五王逃跑、藏在瑪基大洞裡。
  2. 有人告訴約書亞說、那五王已經找到了、都藏在瑪基大洞裡。
  3. 約書亞說、你們把幾塊大石頭輥到洞口、派人看守．
  4. 你們卻不可耽延．要追趕你們的仇敵、擊殺他們儘後邊的人、不容他們進自己的城邑．因為耶和華你們的　神已經把他們交在你們手裡。
  5. 約書亞和以色列人大大殺敗他們、直到將他們滅盡．其中剩下的人都進了堅固的城。
  1. But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.
  2. And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.
  3. And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:
  4. And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.
  5. And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.
 
 
  1. 眾百姓就安然回瑪基大營中、到約書亞那裡．沒有一人敢向以色列人饒舌。
  2. 約書亞說、打開洞口、將那五王從洞裡帶出來、領到我面前。
  3. 眾人就這樣行、將那五王、就是耶路撒冷王、希伯崙王、耶末王、拉吉王、伊磯倫王、從洞裡帶出來、領到約書亞面前。
  4. 帶出那五王到約書亞面前的時候、約書亞就召了以色列眾人來、對那些和他同去的軍長說、你們近前來、把腳踏在這些王的頸項上。他們就近前來、把腳踏在這些王的頸項上。
  5. 約書亞對他們說、你們不要懼怕、也不要驚惶、應當剛強壯膽．因為耶和華必這樣待你們所要攻打的一切仇敵。
  1. And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.
  2. Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.
  3. And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
  4. And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
  5. And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
 
 
  1. 隨後約書亞將這五王殺死、掛在五棵樹上．他們就在樹上直掛到晚上。
  2. 日頭要落的時候、約書亞一吩咐、人就把屍首從樹上取下來、丟在他們藏過的洞裡、把幾塊大石頭放在洞口、直存到今日。
  3. 當日約書亞奪了瑪基大、用刀擊殺城中的人、和王．將其中一切人口盡行殺滅、沒有留下一個．他待瑪基大王像從前待耶利哥王一樣。
  4. 約書亞和以色列眾人從瑪基大往立拿去、攻打立拿。
  5. 耶和華將立拿、和立拿的王、也交在以色列人手裡．約書亞攻打這城、用刀擊殺了城中的一切人口、沒有留下一個、他待立拿王、像從前待耶利哥王一樣。
  1. And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.
  2. And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.
  3. And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.
  4. Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:
  5. And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.
 
 
  1. 約書亞和以色列眾人從立拿往拉吉去、對著拉吉安營、攻打這城。
  2. 耶和華將拉吉交在以色列人的手裡．第二天約書亞就奪了拉吉、用刀擊殺了城中的一切人口．是照他向立拿一切所行的。
  3. 那時基色王荷蘭上來幫助拉吉、約書亞就把他和他的民都擊殺了、沒有留下一個。
  4. 約書亞和以色列眾人從拉吉往伊磯倫去、對著伊磯倫安營、攻打這城．
  5. 當日就奪了城、用刀擊殺了城中的人．那日約書亞將城中的一切人口、盡行殺滅．是照他向拉吉一切所行的。
  1. And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it:
  2. And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.
  3. Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
  4. And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:
  5. And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
 
 
  1. 約書亞和以色列眾人從伊磯倫上希伯崙去、攻打這城．
  2. 就奪了希伯崙和屬希伯崙的諸城邑、用刀將城中的人、與王、並那些城邑中的人口、都擊殺了、沒有留下一個．是照他向伊磯倫所行的、把城中的一切人口、盡行殺滅。
  3. 約書亞和以色列眾人回到底璧、攻打這城．
  4. 就奪了底璧、和屬底璧的城邑、又擒獲底璧的王、用刀將這些城中的人口盡行殺滅、沒有留下一個．他待底璧和底璧王像從前待希伯崙、和立拿與立拿王一樣。
  5. 這樣約書亞擊殺全地的人、就是山地、南地、高原、山坡的人、和那些地的諸王、沒有留下一個．將凡有氣息的盡行殺滅、正如耶和華以色列的　神所吩咐的。
  1. And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto Hebron; and they fought against it:
  2. And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein.
  3. And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir; and fought against it:
  4. And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.
  5. So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.
 
 
  1. 約書亞從加低斯巴尼亞攻擊到迦薩、又攻擊歌珊全地、直到基遍。
  2. 約書亞一時殺敗了這些王、並奪了他們的地．因為耶和華以色列的　神為以色列爭戰。
  3. 於是約書亞和以色列眾人回到吉甲的營中。
  1. And Joshua smote them from Kadeshbarnea even unto Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even unto Gibeon.
  2. And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.
  3. And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.
