  1. 撒母耳對掃羅說、耶和華差遣我膏你為王、治理他的百姓以色列．所以你當聽從耶和華的話。
  2. 萬軍之耶和華如此說、以色列人出埃及的時候、在路上亞瑪力人怎樣待他們、怎樣抵擋他們、我都沒忘。
  3. 現在你要去擊打亞瑪力人、滅盡他們所有的、不可憐惜他們、將男女、孩童、喫奶的、並牛、羊、駱駝、和驢盡行殺死。
  4. 於是掃羅招聚百姓在提拉因、數點他們、共有步兵二十萬、另有猶大人一萬。
  5. 掃羅到了亞瑪力的京城、在谷中設下埋伏。
  1. Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
  2. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
  3. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
  4. And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
  5. And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.
 
 
  1. 掃羅對基尼人說、你們離開亞瑪力人下去罷、恐怕我將你們和亞瑪力人一同殺滅．因為以色列人出埃及的時候、你們曾恩待他們．於是基尼人離開亞瑪力人去了。
  2. 掃羅擊打亞瑪力人、從哈腓拉、直到埃及前的書珥。
  3. 生擒了亞瑪力王亞甲、用刀殺盡亞瑪力的眾民。
  4. 掃羅和百姓卻憐惜亞甲、也愛惜上好的牛、羊、牛犢、羊羔、並一切美物、不肯滅絕．凡下賤瘦弱的、盡都殺了。
  5. 耶和華的話臨到撒母耳說、
  1. And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
  2. And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.
  3. And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
  4. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
  5. Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
 
 
  1. 我立掃羅為王、我後悔了．因為他轉去不跟從我、不遵守我的命令．撒母耳便甚憂愁、終夜哀求耶和華。
  2. 撒母耳清早起來迎接掃羅．有人告訴撒母耳說、掃羅到了迦密、在那裡立了記念碑、又轉身下到吉甲。
  3. 撒母耳到了掃羅那裡、掃羅對他說、願耶和華賜福與你、耶和華的命令我已遵守了。
  4. 撒母耳說、我耳中聽見有羊叫、牛鳴、是從那裡來的呢。
  5. 掃羅說、這是百姓從亞瑪力人那裡帶來的、因為他們愛惜上好的牛羊、要獻與耶和華你的　神．其餘的我們都滅盡了。
  1. It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
  2. And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
  3. And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
  4. And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
  5. And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
 
 
  1. 撒母耳對掃羅說、你住口罷、等我將耶和華昨夜向我所說的話告訴你．掃羅說、請講。
  2. 撒母耳對掃羅說、從前你雖然以自己為小、豈不是被立為以色列支派的元首麼。耶和華膏你作以色列的王。
  3. 耶和華差遣你、吩咐你說、你去擊打那些犯罪的亞瑪力人、將他們滅絕淨盡。
  4. 你為何沒有聽從耶和華的命令、急忙擄掠財物、行耶和華眼中看為惡的事呢。
  5. 掃羅對撒母耳說、我實在聽從了耶和華的命令、行了耶和華所差遣我行的路、擒了亞瑪力王亞甲來、滅盡了亞瑪力人。
  1. Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.
  2. And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?
  3. And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
  4. Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?
  5. And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
 
 
  1. 百姓卻在所當滅的物中、取了最好的牛羊、要在吉甲獻與耶和華你的　神。
  2. 撒母耳說、耶和華喜悅燔祭和平安祭、豈如喜悅人聽從他的話呢．聽命勝於獻祭、順從勝於公羊的脂油。
  3. 悖逆的罪、與行邪術的罪相等．頑梗的罪、與拜虛神和偶像的罪相同．你既厭棄耶和華的命令、耶和華也厭棄你作王。
  4. 掃羅對撒母耳說、我有罪了、我因懼怕百姓聽從他們的話、就違背了耶和華的命令、和你的言語。
  5. 現在求你赦免我的罪、同我回去、我好敬拜耶和華。
  1. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.
  2. And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
  3. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
  4. And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
  5. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD.
 
 
  1. 撒母耳對掃羅說、我不同你回去、因為你厭棄耶和華的命令．耶和華也厭棄你作以色列的王。
  2. 撒母耳轉身要走、掃羅就扯住他外袍的衣襟、衣襟就撕斷了。
  3. 撒母耳對他說、如此、今日耶和華使以色列國與你斷絕、將這國賜與比你更好的人。
  4. 以色列的大能者、必不至說謊、也不至後悔．因為他𣎴非世人、決不後悔。
  5. 掃羅說、我有罪了、雖然如此、求你在我百姓的長老、和以色列人面前抬舉我、同我回去、我好敬拜耶和華你的　神。
  1. And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.
  2. And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
  3. And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.
  4. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
  5. Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.
 
 
  1. 於是撒母耳轉身跟隨掃羅回去、掃羅就敬拜耶和華。
  2. 撒母耳說、要把亞瑪力王亞甲帶到我這裡來．亞甲就歡歡喜喜的來到他面前、心裡說、死亡的苦難必定過去了。
  3. 撒母耳說、你既用刀使婦人喪子、這樣、你母親在婦人中也必喪子．於是撒母耳在吉甲耶和華面前、將亞甲殺死。
  4. 撒母耳回了拉瑪．掃羅上他所住的基比亞回自己的家去了。
  5. 撒母耳直到死的日子、再沒有見掃羅．但撒母耳為掃羅悲傷、是因耶和華後悔立他為以色列的王。
  1. So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
  2. Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.
  3. And Samuel said, As the sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
  4. Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.
  5. And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
