  1. Some time later, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt offended their master, the king of Egypt.
  2. Pharaoh was angry with his two officials, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker,
  3. and put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the same prison where Joseph was confined.
  4. The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he attended them. After they had been in custody for some time,
  5. each of the two men--the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were being held in prison--had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own.
  1. 這事以後、埃及王的酒政和膳長、得罪了他們的主埃及王、
  2. 法老就惱怒酒政和膳長這二臣．
  3. 把他們下在護衛長府內的監裡、就是約瑟被囚的地方。
  4. 護衛長把他們交給約瑟、約瑟便伺候他們．他們有些日子在監裡。
  5. 被囚在監之埃及王的酒政和膳長、二人同夜各作一夢、各夢都有講解。
 
 
  1. When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected.
  2. So he asked Pharaoh's officials who were in custody with him in his master's house, "Why are your faces so sad today?"
  3. "We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams."
  4. So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, "In my dream I saw a vine in front of me,
  5. and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes.
  1. 到了早晨、約瑟進到他們那裡、見他們有愁悶的樣子。
  2. 他便問法老的二臣、就是與他同囚在他主人府裡的、說、他們今日為甚麼面帶愁容呢。
  3. 他們對他說、我們各人作了一夢、沒有人能解．約瑟說、解夢不是出於　神麼、請你們將夢告訴我。
  4. 酒政便將他的夢告訴約瑟說、我夢見在我面前有一棵葡萄樹、
  5. 樹上有三根枝子、好像發了芽、開了花、上頭的葡萄都成熟了。
 
 
  1. Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh's cup and put the cup in his hand."
  2. "This is what it means," Joseph said to him. "The three branches are three days.
  3. Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh's cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer.
  4. But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.
  5. For I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon."
  1. 法老的杯在我手中、我就拿葡萄擠在法老的杯裡、將杯遞在他手中。
  2. 約瑟對他說、他所作的夢是這樣解、三根枝子就是三天．
  3. 三天之內、法老必提你出監、叫你官復原職、你仍要遞杯在法老的手中、和先前作他的酒政一樣。
  4. 但你得好處的時候、求你記念我、施恩與我、在法老面前提說我、救我出這監牢。
  5. 我實在是從希伯來人之地被拐來的、我在這裡也沒有作過甚麼、叫他們把我下在監裡。
 
 
  1. When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, "I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread.
  2. In the top basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head."
  3. "This is what it means," Joseph said. "The three baskets are three days.
  4. Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and hang you on a tree. And the birds will eat away your flesh."
  5. Now the third day was Pharaoh's birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials:
  1. 膳長見夢解得好、就對約瑟說、我在夢中見我頭上頂著三筐白餅．
  2. 極上的筐子裡、有為法老烤的各樣食物、有飛鳥來喫我頭崆筐子裡的食物。
  3. 約瑟說、你的夢是這樣解、三個筐子就是三天．
  4. 三天之內、法老必斬斷你的頭、把你挂在木頭上、必有飛鳥來喫你身上的肉。
  5. 到了第三天、是法老的生日、他為眾臣僕設擺筵席、把酒政和膳長提出監來．
 
 
  1. He restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again put the cup into Pharaoh's hand,
  2. but he hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had said to them in his interpretation.
  3. The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.
  1. 使酒政官復原職、他仍舊遞杯在法老手中。
  2. 但把膳長挂起來、正如約瑟向他們所解的話。
  3. 酒政卻不記念約瑟、竟忘了他。
