  1. And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab's children, saying,
  2. Now as soon as this letter cometh to you, seeing your master's sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also, and armour;
  3. Look even out the best and meetest of your master's sons, and set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house.
  4. But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand?
  5. And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.
  1. 亞哈有七十個兒子在撒瑪利亞。耶戶寫信、送到撒瑪利亞、通知耶斯列的首領、就是長老、和教養亞哈眾子的人、說、
  2. 你們那裡、既有你們主人的眾子、和車馬、器械、堅固城、
  3. 接了這信、就可以在你們主人的眾子中、選擇一個賢能合宜的、使他坐他父親的位、你們也可以為你們主人的家爭戰。
  4. 他們卻甚懼怕、彼此說、二王在他面前尚且站立不住、我們怎能站得住呢。
  5. 家宰、邑宰、和長老、並教養眾子的人、打發人去見耶戶、說、我們是你的僕人．凡你所吩咐我們的、都必遵行．我們不立誰作王．你看怎樣好、就怎樣行。
 
 
  1. Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.
  2. And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel.
  3. And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.
  4. And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?
  5. Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath done that which he spake by his servant Elijah.
  1. 耶戶又給他們寫信說、你們若歸順我、聽從我的話、明日這時候、要將你們主人眾子的首級、帶到耶斯列來見我。那時王的兒子七十人、都住在教養他們那城中的尊貴人家裡。
  2. 信一到、他們就把王的七十個兒子殺了、將首級裝在筐裡、送到耶斯列耶戶那裡。
  3. 有使者來告訴耶戶說、他們將王眾子的首級送來了。耶戶說、將首級在城門口堆作兩堆、擱到明日。
  4. 次日早晨、耶戶出來、站著對眾民說、你們都是公義的．我背叛我主人、將他殺了．這些人卻是誰殺的呢。
  5. 由此可知、耶和華指著亞哈家所說的話、一句沒有落空．因為耶和華藉他僕人以利亞所說的話、都成就了。
 
 
  1. So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
  2. And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. And as he was at the shearing house in the way,
  3. Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.
  4. And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house, even two and forty men; neither left he any of them.
  5. And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
  1. 凡亞哈家在耶斯列所剩下的人、和他的大臣、密友、祭司、耶戶盡都殺了、沒有留下一個。
  2. 耶戶起身、往撒瑪利亞去．在路上、牧人剪羊毛之處、
  3. 遇見猶大王、亞哈謝的弟兄、問他們說、你們是誰．回答說、我們是亞哈謝的弟兄．現在下去、要問王、和太后的眾子安。
  4. 耶戶吩咐說、活捉他們。跟從的人就活捉了他們、將他們殺在剪羊毛之處的坑邊．共四十二人、沒有留下一個。
  5. 耶戶從那裡前行、恰遇利甲的兒子約拿達、來迎接他．耶戶問他安、對他說、你誠心待我、像我誠心待你麼．約拿達回答說、是。耶戶說、若是這樣、你向我伸手．他就伸手．耶戶拉他上車。
 
 
  1. And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.
  2. And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.
  3. And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.
  4. Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.
  5. And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.
  1. 耶戶說、你和我同去、看我為耶和華怎樣熱心。於是請他坐在車上。
  2. 到了撒瑪利亞、就把撒瑪利亞亞哈家剩下的人都殺了、直到滅盡、正如耶和華對以利亞所說的。
  3. 耶戶招聚眾民、對他們說、亞哈事奉巴力還冷淡．耶戶卻更熱心。
  4. 現在我要給巴力獻大祭．應當叫巴力的眾先知、和一切拜巴力的人、並巴力的眾祭司、都到我這裡來、不可缺少一個．凡不來的必不得活。耶戶這樣行、是用詭計、要殺盡拜巴力的人。
  5. 耶戶說、要為巴力宣告嚴肅會．於是宣告了。
 
 
  1. And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.
  2. And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.
  3. And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.
  4. And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.
  5. And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
  1. 耶戶差人走遍以色列地．凡拜巴力的人都來齊了、沒有一個不來的．他們進了巴力廟．巴力廟中、從前邊直到後邊、都滿了人。
  2. 耶戶吩咐掌管禮服的人說、拿出禮服來、給一切拜巴力的人穿。他就拿出禮服來給了他們。
  3. 耶戶和利甲的兒子約拿達、進了巴力廟、對拜巴力的人說、你們察看察看、在你們這裡不可有耶和華的僕人、只可容留拜巴力的人。
  4. 耶戶和約拿達進去、獻平安祭和燔祭。耶戶先安排八十人在廟外、吩咐說、我將這些人交在你們手中、若有一人脫逃、誰放的、必叫他償命。
  5. 耶戶獻完了燔祭、就出來吩咐護衛兵、和眾軍長、說、你們進去殺他們．不容一人出來。護衛兵和軍長就用刀殺他們、將屍首拋出去、便到巴力廟的城去了。
 
 
  1. And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.
  2. And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.
  3. Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.
  4. Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.
  5. And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.
  1. 將巴力廟中的柱像、都拿出來燒了．
  2. 毀壞了巴力柱像、拆毀了巴力廟、作為廁所、直到今日。
  3. 這樣、耶戶在以色列中滅了巴力。
  4. 只是耶戶不離開尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪、就是拜伯特利和但的金牛犢。
  5. 耶和華對耶戶說、因你辦好我眼中看為正的事、照我的心意待亞哈家、你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的國位、直到四代。
 
 
  1. But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.
  2. In those days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;
  3. From Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.
  4. Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
  5. And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.
  1. 只是耶戶不盡心遵守耶和華以色列　神的律法、不離開耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪。
  2. 在那些日子、耶和華纔割裂以色列國、使哈薛攻擊以色列的境界。
  3. 乃是約但河東、基列全地、從靠近亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起、就是基列和巴珊的迦得、流便人、瑪拿西人之地。
  4. 耶戶其餘的事、凡他所行的、和他的勇力、都寫在以色列諸王記上。
  5. 耶戶與他列祖同睡、葬在撒瑪利亞．他兒子約哈斯接續他作王。
 
 
  1. And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight years.
  1. 耶戶在撒瑪利亞作以色列王二十八年。
