  1. 以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第三年、猶大王亞哈斯的兒子希西家登基。
  2. 他登基的時候、年二十五歲．在耶路撒冷作王二十九年．他母親名叫亞比、是撒迦利雅的女兒。
  3. 希西家行耶和華眼中看為正的事、效法他祖大衛一切所行的。
  4. 他廢去邱壇、毀壞柱像、砍下木偶、打碎摩西所造的銅蛇．因為到那時以色列人仍向銅蛇燒香．希西家叫銅蛇為銅塊。〔或作人稱銅蛇為銅像〕
  5. 希西家倚靠耶和華以色列的　神、在他前後的猶大列王中沒有一個及他的。
  1. Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
  2. Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.
  3. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.
  4. He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
  5. He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
 
 
  1. 因為他專靠耶和華、總不離開、謹守耶和華所吩咐摩西的誡命。
  2. 耶和華與他同在．他無論往何處去、盡都亨通．他背叛、不肯事奉亞述王。
  3. 希西家攻擊非利士人、直到迦薩、並迦薩的四境、從瞭望樓到堅固城。
  4. 希西家王第四年、就是以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第七年、亞述王撒縵以色上來圍困撒瑪利亞。
  5. 過了三年就攻取了城。希西家第六年、以色列王何細亞第九年、撒瑪利亞被攻取了。
  1. For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.
  2. And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.
  3. He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
  4. And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.
  5. And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is in the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.
 
 
  1. 亞述王將以色列人擄到亞述、把他們安置在哈臘、與歌散的哈博河邊、並瑪代人的城邑．
  2. 都因他們不聽從耶和華他們　神的話、違背他的約、就是耶和華僕人摩西吩咐他們所當守的。
  3. 希西家王十四年、亞述王西拿基立上來攻擊猶大的一切堅固城、將城攻取。
  4. 猶大王希西家差人往拉吉去、見亞述王、說、我有罪了、求你離開我．凡你罰我的、我必承當。於是亞述王罰猶大王希西家銀子三百他連得、金子三十他連得。
  5. 希西家就把耶和華殿裡、和王宮府庫裡所有的銀子、都給了他。
  1. And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:
  2. Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.
  3. Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.
  4. And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
  5. And Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house.
 
 
  1. 那時猶大王希西家將耶和華殿門上的金子、和他自己包在柱上的金子、都刮下來、給了亞述王。
  2. 亞述王從拉吉差遣他珥探、拉伯撒利、和拉伯沙基率領大軍、往耶路撒冷、到希西家王那裡去。他們上到耶路撒冷、就站在上池的水溝旁、在漂布地的大路上。
  3. 他們呼叫王的時候、就有希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬、並書記舍伯那、和亞薩的兒子史官約亞、出來見他們。
  4. 拉伯沙基說、你們去告訴希西家說、亞述大王如此說、你所倚靠的、有甚麼可仗賴的呢。
  5. 你說、有打仗的計謀和能力、我看不過是虛話。你到底倚靠誰、纔背叛我呢。
  1. At that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.
  2. And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller's field.
  3. And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.
  4. And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?
  5. Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?
 
 
  1. 看哪、你所倚靠的埃及、是那壓傷的葦杖．人若靠這杖、就必刺透他的手．埃及王法老向一切倚靠他的人、也是這樣。
  2. 你們若對我說、我們倚靠耶和華我們的　神．希西家豈不是將　神的邱壇和祭壇廢去．且對猶大和耶路撒冷的人說、你們當在耶路撒冷這壇前敬拜麼。
  3. 現在你把當頭給我主亞述王、我給你二千匹馬、看你這一面騎馬的人彀不彀。
  4. 若不然、怎能打敗我主臣僕中最小的軍長呢．你竟倚靠埃及的戰車馬兵麼。
  5. 現在我上來攻擊毀滅這地、豈沒有耶和華的意思麼。耶和華吩咐我說、你上去攻擊毀滅這地罷。
  1. Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
  2. But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
  3. Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
  4. How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?
  5. Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
 
 
  1. 希勒家的兒子以利亞敬、和舍伯那、並約亞、對拉伯沙基說、求你用亞蘭言語和僕人說話、因為我們懂得．不要用猶大言語和我們說話、達到城上百姓的耳中。
  2. 拉伯沙基說、我主差遣我來、豈是單對你和你的主說這些話麼．不也是對這些坐在城上、要與你們一同喫自己糞、喝自己尿的人說麼。
  3. 於是拉伯沙基站著、用猶大言語大聲喊著說、你們當聽亞述大王的話。
  4. 王如此說、你們不要被希西家欺哄了、因他不能救你們脫離我的手．
  5. 也不要聽希西家、使你們倚靠耶和華、說、耶和華必要拯救我們、這城必不交在亞述王的手中。
  1. Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews' language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.
  2. But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
  3. Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:
  4. Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:
  5. Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
 
 
  1. 不要聽希西家的話．因亞述王如此說、你們要與我和好、出來投降我、各人就可以喫自己葡萄樹和無花果樹的果子、喝自己井裡的水．
  2. 等我來領你們到一個地方與你們本地一樣、就是有五榖和新酒之地、有糧食和葡萄園之地、有橄欖樹和蜂蜜之地、好使你們存活、不至於死．希西家勸導你們、說、耶和華必拯救我們．你們不要聽他的話。
  3. 列國的神、有那一個救他本國脫離亞述王的手呢。
  4. 哈馬亞珥拔的神在那裡呢．西法瓦音希拿以瓦的神在那裡呢．他們曾救撒瑪利亞脫離我的手麼．
  5. 這些國的神有誰曾救自己的國脫離我的手呢．難道耶和華能救耶路撒冷脫離我的手麼。
  1. Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:
  2. Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.
  3. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
  4. Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?
  5. Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?
 
 
  1. 百姓靜默不言、並不回答一句．因為王曾吩咐、說、不要回答他。
  2. 當下希勒家的兒子家宰以利亞敬和書記舍伯那、並亞薩的兒子史官約亞、都撕裂衣服、來到希西家那裡、將拉伯沙基的話告訴了他。
  1. But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
  2. Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
