  1. And when King Hezekiah heard it, he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth and entered the house of the LORD.
  2. Then he sent Eliakim who was over the household with Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
  3. They said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and rejection; for children have come to birth and there is no strength to deliver.
  4. 'Perhaps the LORD your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.'"
  5. So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
  1. 希西家王聽見、就撕裂衣服、披上麻布、進了耶和華的殿．
  2. 使家宰以利亞敬、和書記舍伯那、並祭司中的長老、都披上麻布、去見亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞．
  3. 對他說、希西家如此說、今日是急難責罰凌辱的日子．就如婦人將要生產嬰孩、卻沒有力量生產．
  4. 或者耶和華你的　神聽見拉伯沙基的一切話、就是他主人亞述王打發他來辱罵永生　神的話．耶和華你的　神聽見這話、就發斥責．故此、求你為餘剩的民．揚聲禱告。
  5. 希西家王的臣僕就去見以賽亞。
 
 
  1. Isaiah said to them, "Thus you shall say to your master, 'Thus says the LORD, "Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.
  2. "Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land And I will make him fall by the sword in his own land."'"
  3. Then Rabshakeh returned and found the king of Assyria fighting against Libnah, for he had heard that the king had left Lachish.
  4. When he heard them say concerning Tirhakah king of Cush, "Behold, he has come out to fight against you," he sent messengers again to Hezekiah saying,
  5. "Thus you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah, 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you saying, "Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."
  1. 以賽亞對他們說、要這樣對你們的主人說、耶和華如此說、你聽見亞述王的僕人褻瀆我的話、不要懼怕。
  2. 我必驚動〔原文作使靈進入〕他的心．他要聽見風聲、就歸回本地．我必使他在那裡倒在刀下。
  3. 拉伯沙基回去、正遇見亞述王攻打立拿．原來他早聽見亞述王拔營離開拉吉。
  4. 亞述王聽見人論古實王特哈加、說、他出來要與你爭戰。於是亞述王又打發使者去見希西家、吩咐他們說、
  5. 你們對猶大王希西家如此說、不要聽你所倚靠的　神欺哄你說、耶路撒冷必不交在亞述王的手中。
 
 
  1. 'Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, destroying them completely. So will you be spared?
  2. 'Did the gods of those nations which my fathers destroyed deliver them, even Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and the sons of Eden who were in Telassar?
  3. 'Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, and of Hena and Ivvah?'"
  4. Then Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD.
  5. Hezekiah prayed before the LORD and said, "O LORD, the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
  1. 你總聽說亞述諸王向列國所行的、乃是盡行滅絕．難道你還能得救麼。
  2. 我列祖所毀滅的、就是歌散、哈蘭、利色、和屬提拉撒的伊甸人、這些國的神何曾拯救這些國呢。
  3. 哈馬的王、亞珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王都在那裡呢。
  4. 希西家從使者手裡接過書信來．看完了、就上耶和華的殿、將書信在耶和華面前展開。
  5. 希西家向耶和華禱告、說、坐在二萖𤦤𠒇上耶和華以色列的　神阿、你是天下萬國的　神．你曾創造天地。
 
 
  1. "Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see; and listen to the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.
  2. "Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have devastated the nations and their lands
  3. and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them.
  4. "Now, O LORD our God, I pray, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O LORD, are God."
  5. Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah saying, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Because you have prayed to Me about Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard you.'
  1. 耶和華阿、求你側耳而聽．耶和華阿、求你睜眼而看．要聽西拿基立打發使者來辱罵永生　神的話。
  2. 耶和華阿、亞述諸王果然使列國和列國之地變為荒涼、
  3. 將列國的神像、都扔在火裡．因為他本不是神、乃是人手所造的、是木頭石頭的．所以滅絕他。
  4. 耶和華我們的　神阿、現在求你救我們脫離亞述王的手、使天下萬國都知道惟獨你耶和華是　神。
  5. 亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞、就打發人去見希西家、說、耶和華以色列的　神如此說、你既然求我攻擊亞述王西拿基立、我已聽見了。
 
 
  1. "This is the word that the LORD has spoken against him: 'She has despised you and mocked you, The virgin daughter of Zion; She has shaken her head behind you, The daughter of Jerusalem!
  2. 'Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voice, And haughtily lifted up your eyes? Against the Holy One of Israel!
  3. 'Through your messengers you have reproached the Lord, And you have said, "With my many chariots I came up to the heights of the mountains, To the remotest parts of Lebanon; And I cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypresses And I entered its farthest lodging place, its thickest forest.
  4. "I dug wells and drank foreign waters, And with the sole of my feet I dried up All the rivers of Egypt."
  5. 'Have you not heard? Long ago I did it; From ancient times I planned it Now I have brought it to pass, That you should turn fortified cities into ruinous heaps.
  1. 耶和華論他這樣說、錫安的處女藐視你、嗤笑你．耶路撒冷的女子向你搖頭。
  2. 你辱罵誰、褻瀆誰、揚起聲來、高舉眼目、攻擊誰呢．乃是攻擊以色列的聖者。
  3. 你藉你的使者辱罵主、並說、我率領許多戰車上山頂、到利巴嫩極深之處．我要砍伐其中高大的香柏樹、和佳美的松樹．我必上極高之處、進入肥田的樹林。
  4. 我已經在外邦挖井喝水．我必用腳掌踏乾埃及的一切河。
  5. 耶和華說、我早先所作的、古時所立的、就是現在藉你使堅固城荒廢、變為亂堆、這事你豈沒有聽見麼。
 
 
  1. 'Therefore their inhabitants were short of strength, They were dismayed and put to shame; They were as the vegetation of the field and as the green herb, As grass on the housetops is scorched before it is grown up.
  2. 'But I know your sitting down, And your going out and your coming in, And your raging against Me.
  3. 'Because of your raging against Me, And because your arrogance has come up to My ears, Therefore I will put My hook in your nose, And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back by the way which you came.
  4. 'Then this shall be the sign for you: you will eat this year what grows of itself, in the second year what springs from the same, and in the third year sow, reap, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.
  5. 'The surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward.
  1. 所以其中的居民力量甚小、驚惶羞愧．他們像野草、像青菜、如房頂上的草、又如未長成而枯乾的禾稼。
  2. 你坐下、你出去、你進來、你向我發烈怒、我都知道。
  3. 因你向我發烈怒、又因你狂傲的話達到我耳中、我就要用鉤子鉤上你的鼻子、把嚼環放在你口裡、使你從你來的路轉回去。
  4. 以色列人哪、我賜你們一個證據．你們今年要喫自生的、明年也要喫自長的．至於後年、你們要耕種收割、栽植葡萄園、喫其中的果子。
  5. 猶大家所逃脫餘剩的、仍要往下扎根、向上結果．
 
 
  1. 'For out of Jerusalem will go forth a remnant, and out of Mount Zion survivors The zeal of the LORD will perform this.
  2. 'Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, "He will not come to this city or shoot an arrow there; and he will not come before it with a shield or throw up a siege ramp against it.
  3. "By the way that he came, by the same he will return, and he shall not come to this city,"' declares the LORD.
  4. 'For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for My servant David's sake.'"
  5. Then it happened that night that the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men rose early in the morning, behold, all of them were dead.
  1. 必有餘剩的民、從耶路撒冷而出．必有逃脫的人、從錫安山而來．耶和華的熱心、必成就這事。
  2. 所以耶和華論亞述王如此說、他必不得來到這城、也不在這裡射箭、不得拿盾牌到城前、也不築壘攻城。
  3. 他從那條路來、必從那條路回去、必不得來到這城．這是耶和華說的。
  4. 因我為自己的緣故、又為我僕人大衛的緣故、必保護拯救這城。
  5. 當夜耶和華的使者出去、在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人．清早有人起來、一看、都是死屍了。
 
 
  1. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and returned home, and lived at Nineveh.
  2. It came about as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer killed him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat And Esarhaddon his son became king in his place.
  1. 亞述王西拿基立就拔營回去、住在尼尼微。
  2. 一日在他的神尼斯洛廟裡叩拜、他兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀殺了他．就逃到亞拉臘地。他兒子以撒哈頓接續他作王。
