  1. 羅波安來到耶路撒冷、招聚猶大家、和便雅憫家、共十八萬人、都是挑選的戰士、要與以色列人爭戰、好將國奪回再歸自己。
  2. 但耶和華的話臨到神人示瑪雅說、
  3. 你去告訴所羅門的兒子猶大王羅波安、和住猶大便雅憫的以色列眾人、說、
  4. 耶和華如此說、你們不可上去、與你們的弟兄爭戰．各歸各家去罷．因為這事出於我。眾人就聽從耶和華的話、歸回不去與耶羅波安爭戰。
  5. 羅波安住在耶路撒冷、在猶大地修築城邑。
  1. And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of Judah and Benjamin an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.
  2. But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
  3. Speak unto Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
  4. Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.
  5. And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities for defence in Judah.
 
 
  1. 為保障修築伯利恆、以坦、提哥亞、
  2. 伯夙、梭哥、亞杜蘭、
  3. 迦特、瑪利沙、西弗、
  4. 亞多萊音、拉吉、亞西加、
  5. 瑣拉、亞雅崙、希伯崙．這都是猶大和便雅憫的堅固城。
  1. He built even Bethlehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,
  2. And Bethzur, and Shoco, and Adullam,
  3. And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,
  4. And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,
  5. And Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin fenced cities.
 
 
  1. 羅波安又堅固各處的保障、在其中安置軍長、又豫備下糧食、油、酒。
  2. 他在各城裡豫備盾牌和槍、且使城極其堅固。猶大和便雅憫都歸了他。
  3. 以色列全地的祭司和利未人、都從四方來歸羅波安。
  4. 利未人撇下他們的郊野和產業、來到猶大與耶路撒冷．是因耶羅波安和他的兒子拒絕他們、不許他們供祭司職分事奉耶和華。
  5. 耶羅波安為邱壇、為鬼魔、〔原文作公山羊〕為自己所鑄造的牛犢、設立祭司。
  1. And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store of victual, and of oil and wine.
  2. And in every several city he put shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.
  3. And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their coasts.
  4. For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office unto the LORD:
  5. And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
 
 
  1. 以色列各支派中、凡立定心意尋求耶和華以色列　神的、都隨從利未人、來到耶路撒冷祭祀耶和華他們列祖的　神。
  2. 這樣、就堅固猶大國、使所羅門的兒子羅波安強盛三年、因為他們三年遵行大衛和所羅門的道。
  3. 羅波安娶大衛兒子耶利摩的女兒瑪哈拉為妻、又娶耶西兒子以利押的女兒亞比孩為妻。
  4. 從他生了幾個兒子、就是耶烏施、示瑪利雅、撒罕。
  5. 後來又娶押沙龍的女兒瑪迦．〔十三章二節作烏列的女兒米該雅〕從他生了亞比雅、亞太、細撒、示羅密。
  1. And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
  2. So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.
  3. And Rehoboam took him Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;
  4. Which bare him children; Jeush, and Shamariah, and Zaham.
  5. And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
 
 
  1. 羅波安娶十八個妻、立六十個妾、生二十八個兒子、六十個女兒．他卻愛押沙龍的女兒瑪迦、比愛別的妻妾更甚。
  2. 羅波安立瑪迦的兒子亞比雅作太子、在他弟兄中為首．因為想要立他接續作王。
  3. 羅波安辦事精明、使他眾子分散在猶大和便雅憫全地各堅固城裡、又賜他們許多糧食、為他們多尋妻子。
  1. And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines; and begat twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)
  2. And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.
  3. And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his children throughout all the countries of Judah and Benjamin, unto every fenced city: and he gave them victual in abundance. And he desired many wives.
