  1. 耶路撒冷的居民立約蘭的小兒子亞哈謝接續他作王．因為跟隨亞拉伯人來攻營的軍兵曾殺了亞哈謝的眾兄長．這樣、猶大王約蘭的兒子亞哈謝作了王。
  2. 亞哈謝登基的時候年四十二歲．〔列王下八章二十六節作二十二歲〕在耶路撒冷作王一年．他母親名叫亞他利雅、是暗利的孫女。
  3. 亞哈謝也行亞哈家的道．因為他母親給他主謀．使他行惡。
  4. 他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事、像亞哈家一樣．因他父親死後有亞哈家的人給他主謀、以致敗壞。
  5. 他聽從亞哈家的計謀、同以色列王亞哈的兒子約蘭往基列的拉末去、與亞蘭王哈薛爭戰．亞蘭人打傷了約蘭。
  1. The people of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, Jehoram's youngest son, king in his place, since the raiders, who came with the Arabs into the camp, had killed all the older sons. So Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah began to reign.
  2. Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother's name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri.
  3. He too walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother encouraged him in doing wrong.
  4. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, as the house of Ahab had done, for after his father's death they became his advisers, to his undoing.
  5. He also followed their counsel when he went with Joram son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram;
 
 
  1. 約蘭回到耶斯列、醫治在拉末與亞蘭王哈薛打仗所受的傷、猶大王約蘭的兒子亞撒利雅、〔即亞哈謝〕因為亞哈的兒子約蘭病了、就下到耶斯列看望他。
  2. 亞哈謝去見約蘭就被害了、這是出乎　神．因為他到了、就同約蘭出去攻擊寧示的孫子耶戶．這耶戶是耶和華所膏、使他剪除亞哈家的。
  3. 耶戶討亞哈家罪的時候、遇見猶大的眾首領、和亞哈謝的眾姪子服事亞哈謝、就把他們都殺了。
  4. 亞哈謝藏在撒瑪利亞、耶戶尋找他．眾人將他拿住、送到耶戶那裡、就殺了他、將他葬埋．因他們說、他是那盡心尋求耶和華之約沙法的兒子。這樣、亞哈謝的家無力保守國權。
  5. 亞哈謝的母親亞他利雅見他兒子死了、就起來剿滅猶大王室。
  1. so he returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds they had inflicted on him at Ramoth in his battle with Hazael king of Aram. Then Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to Jezreel to see Joram son of Ahab because he had been wounded.
  2. Through Ahaziah's visit to Joram, God brought about Ahaziah's downfall. When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.
  3. While Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, he found the princes of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah's relatives, who had been attending Ahaziah, and he killed them.
  4. He then went in search of Ahaziah, and his men captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. He was brought to Jehu and put to death. They buried him, for they said, "He was a son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart." So there was no one in the house of Ahaziah powerful enough to retain the kingdom.
  5. When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family of the house of Judah.
 
 
  1. 但王的女兒約示巴、將亞哈謝的兒子約阿施、從那被殺的王子中偷出來、把他和他的乳母都藏在臥房裡。約示巴是約蘭王的女兒、亞哈謝的妹子、祭司耶何耶大的妻．他收藏約阿施、躲避亞他利雅、免得被殺。
  2. 約阿施和他們一同藏在　神殿裡六年．亞他利雅篡了國位。
  1. But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of the priest Jehoiada, was Ahaziah's sister, she hid the child from Athaliah so she could not kill him.
  2. He remained hidden with them at the temple of God for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.
