Psalms 30 [KJV:NIV]

  1. I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
  2. O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
  3. O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
  4. Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
  5. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
  1. I will exalt you, O LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
  2. O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
  3. O LORD, you brought me up from the grave ; you spared me from going down into the pit.
  4. Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name.
  5. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

  1. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
  2. LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
  3. I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
  4. What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
  5. Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
  1. When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."
  2. O LORD, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
  3. To you, O LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
  4. "What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
  5. Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my help."

  1. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
  2. To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
  1. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
  2. that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
