Psalms 59 [NIV:NASB]   
 
  1. Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me.
  2. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.
  3. See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, O LORD.
  4. I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight!
  5. O LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors. Selah
  1. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; Set me securely on high away from those who rise up against me.
  2. Deliver me from those who do iniquity And save me from men of bloodshed.
  3. For behold, they have set an ambush for my life; Fierce men launch an attack against me, Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O LORD,
  4. For no guilt of mine, they run and set themselves against me Arouse Yourself to help me, and see!
  5. You, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be gracious to any who are treacherous in iniquity. Selah.
 
 
  1. They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
  2. See what they spew from their mouths-- they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, "Who can hear us?"
  3. But you, O LORD, laugh at them; you scoff at all those nations.
  4. O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress,
  5. my loving God. God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me.
  1. They return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.
  2. Behold, they belch forth with their mouth; Swords are in their lips, For, they say, "Who hears?"
  3. But You, O LORD, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations.
  4. Because of his strength I will watch for You, For God is my stronghold.
  5. My God in His lovingkindness will meet me; God will let me look triumphantly upon my foes.
 
 
  1. But do not kill them, O Lord our shield, or my people will forget. In your might make them wander about, and bring them down.
  2. For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter,
  3. consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more. Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob. Selah
  4. They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
  5. They wander about for food and howl if not satisfied.
  1. Do not slay them, or my people will forget; Scatter them by Your power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.
  2. On account of the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be caught in their pride, And on account of curses and lies which they utter.
  3. Destroy them in wrath, destroy them that they may be no more; That men may know that God rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah.
  4. They return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.
  5. They wander about for food And growl if they are not satisfied.
 
 
  1. But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
  2. O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.
  1. But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.
  2. O my strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.
