Psalms 119 [NASB:NIV]   
 
  1. How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the law of the LORD.
  2. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, Who seek Him with all their heart.
  3. They also do no unrighteousness; They walk in His ways.
  4. You have ordained Your precepts, That we should keep them diligently.
  5. Oh that my ways may be established To keep Your statutes!
  1. Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.
  2. Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
  3. They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.
  4. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.
  5. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!
 
 
  1. Then I shall not be ashamed When I look upon all Your commandments.
  2. I shall give thanks to You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.
  3. I shall keep Your statutes; Do not forsake me utterly!
  4. How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.
  5. With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
  1. Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
  2. I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.
  3. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.
  4. How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
  5. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
 
 
  1. Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.
  2. Blessed are You, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes.
  3. With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Your mouth.
  4. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
  5. I will meditate on Your precepts And regard Your ways.
  1. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
  2. Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
  3. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth.
  4. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.
  5. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.
 
 
  1. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.
  2. Deal bountifully with Your servant, That I may live and keep Your word.
  3. Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your law.
  4. I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me.
  5. My soul is crushed with longing After Your ordinances at all times.
  1. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
  2. Do good to your servant, and I will live; I will obey your word.
  3. Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.
  4. I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.
  5. My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times.
 
 
  1. You rebuke the arrogant, the cursed, Who wander from Your commandments.
  2. Take away reproach and contempt from me, For I observe Your testimonies.
  3. Even though princes sit and talk against me, Your servant meditates on Your statutes.
  4. Your testimonies also are my delight; They are my counselors.
  5. My soul cleaves to the dust; Revive me according to Your word.
  1. You rebuke the arrogant, who are cursed and who stray from your commands.
  2. Remove from me scorn and contempt, for I keep your statutes.
  3. Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.
  4. Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors.
  5. I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word.
 
 
  1. I have told of my ways, and You have answered me; Teach me Your statutes.
  2. Make me understand the way of Your precepts, So I will meditate on Your wonders.
  3. My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Your word.
  4. Remove the false way from me, And graciously grant me Your law.
  5. I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me.
  1. I recounted my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees.
  2. Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders.
  3. My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.
  4. Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law.
  5. I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.
 
 
  1. I cling to Your testimonies; O LORD, do not put me to shame!
  2. I shall run the way of Your commandments, For You will enlarge my heart.
  3. Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, And I shall observe it to the end.
  4. Give me understanding, that I may observe Your law And keep it with all my heart.
  5. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.
  1. I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame.
  2. I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.
  3. Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.
  4. Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
  5. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.
 
 
  1. Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to dishonest gain.
  2. Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity, And revive me in Your ways.
  3. Establish Your word to Your servant, As that which produces reverence for You.
  4. Turn away my reproach which I dread, For Your ordinances are good.
  5. Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me through Your righteousness.
  1. Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
  2. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.
  3. Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.
  4. Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.
  5. How I long for your precepts! Preserve my life in your righteousness.
 
 
  1. May Your lovingkindnesses also come to me, O LORD, Your salvation according to Your word;
  2. So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, For I trust in Your word.
  3. And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, For I wait for Your ordinances.
  4. So I will keep Your law continually, Forever and ever.
  5. And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts.
  1. May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise;
  2. then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.
  3. Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.
  4. I will always obey your law, for ever and ever.
  5. I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
 
 
  1. I will also speak of Your testimonies before kings And shall not be ashamed.
  2. I shall delight in Your commandments, Which I love.
  3. And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments, Which I love; And I will meditate on Your statutes.
  4. Remember the word to Your servant, In which You have made me hope.
  5. This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your word has revived me.
  1. I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame,
  2. for I delight in your commands because I love them.
  3. I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.
  4. Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
  5. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
 
 
  1. The arrogant utterly deride me, Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.
  2. I have remembered Your ordinances from of old, O LORD, And comfort myself.
  3. Burning indignation has seized me because of the wicked, Who forsake Your law.
  4. Your statutes are my songs In the house of my pilgrimage.
  5. O LORD, I remember Your name in the night, And keep Your law.
  1. The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law.
  2. I remember your ancient laws, O LORD, and I find comfort in them.
  3. Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.
  4. Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.
  5. In the night I remember your name, O LORD, and I will keep your law.
 
 
  1. This has become mine, That I observe Your precepts.
  2. The LORD is my portion; I have promised to keep Your words.
  3. I sought Your favor with all my heart; Be gracious to me according to Your word.
  4. I considered my ways And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
  5. I hastened and did not delay To keep Your commandments.
  1. This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.
  2. You are my portion, O LORD; I have promised to obey your words.
  3. I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.
  4. I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes.
  5. I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.
 
 
  1. The cords of the wicked have encircled me, But I have not forgotten Your law.
  2. At midnight I shall rise to give thanks to You Because of Your righteous ordinances.
  3. I am a companion of all those who fear You, And of those who keep Your precepts.
  4. The earth is full of Your lovingkindness, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes.
  5. You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word.
  1. Though the wicked bind me with ropes, I will not forget your law.
  2. At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.
  3. I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.
  4. The earth is filled with your love, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
  5. Do good to your servant according to your word, O LORD.
 
 
  1. Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments.
  2. Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.
  3. You are good and do good; Teach me Your statutes.
  4. The arrogant have forged a lie against me; With all my heart I will observe Your precepts.
  5. Their heart is covered with fat, But I delight in Your law.
  1. Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I believe in your commands.
  2. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.
  3. You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.
  4. Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart.
  5. Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.
 
 
  1. It is good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.
  2. The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
  3. Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
  4. May those who fear You see me and be glad, Because I wait for Your word.
  5. I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
  1. It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
  2. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.
  3. Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.
  4. May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.
  5. I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous, and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
 
 
  1. O may Your lovingkindness comfort me, According to Your word to Your servant.
  2. May Your compassion come to me that I may live, For Your law is my delight.
  3. May the arrogant be ashamed, for they subvert me with a lie; But I shall meditate on Your precepts.
  4. May those who fear You turn to me, Even those who know Your testimonies.
  5. May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, So that I will not be ashamed.
  1. May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.
  2. Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.
  3. May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.
  4. May those who fear you turn to me, those who understand your statutes.
  5. May my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be put to shame.
 
 
  1. My soul languishes for Your salvation; I wait for Your word.
  2. My eyes fail with longing for Your word, While I say, "When will You comfort me?"
  3. Though I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget Your statutes.
  4. How many are the days of Your servant? When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me?
  5. The arrogant have dug pits for me, Men who are not in accord with Your law.
  1. My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.
  2. My eyes fail, looking for your promise; I say, "When will you comfort me?"
  3. Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget your decrees.
  4. How long must your servant wait? When will you punish my persecutors?
  5. The arrogant dig pitfalls for me, contrary to your law.
 
 
  1. All Your commandments are faithful; They have persecuted me with a lie; help me!
  2. They almost destroyed me on earth, But as for me, I did not forsake Your precepts.
  3. Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.
  4. Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.
  5. Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands.
  1. All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for men persecute me without cause.
  2. They almost wiped me from the earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts.
  3. Preserve my life according to your love, and I will obey the statutes of your mouth.
  4. Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
  5. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.
 
 
  1. They stand this day according to Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants.
  2. If Your law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my affliction.
  3. I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me.
  4. I am Yours, save me; For I have sought Your precepts.
  5. The wicked wait for me to destroy me; I shall diligently consider Your testimonies.
  1. Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.
  2. If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
  3. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
  4. Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts.
  5. The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes.
 
 
  1. I have seen a limit to all perfection; Your commandment is exceedingly broad.
  2. O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.
  3. Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine.
  4. I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.
  5. I understand more than the aged, Because I have observed Your precepts.
  1. To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless.
  2. Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.
  3. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me.
  4. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
  5. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.
 
 
  1. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word.
  2. I have not turned aside from Your ordinances, For You Yourself have taught me.
  3. How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
  4. From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.
  5. Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
  1. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.
  2. I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.
  3. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
  4. I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.
  5. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
 
 
  1. I have sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.
  2. I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word.
  3. O accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, And teach me Your ordinances.
  4. My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Your law.
  5. The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I have not gone astray from Your precepts.
  1. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.
  2. I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word.
  3. Accept, O LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws.
  4. Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.
  5. The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts.
 
 
  1. I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart.
  2. I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, even to the end.
  3. I hate those who are double-minded, But I love Your law.
  4. You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.
  5. Depart from me, evildoers, That I may observe the commandments of my God.
  1. Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
  2. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.
  3. I hate double-minded men, but I love your law.
  4. You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
  5. Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!
 
 
  1. Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
  2. Uphold me that I may be safe, That I may have regard for Your statutes continually.
  3. You have rejected all those who wander from Your statutes, For their deceitfulness is useless.
  4. You have removed all the wicked of the earth like dross; Therefore I love Your testimonies.
  5. My flesh trembles for fear of You, And I am afraid of Your judgments.
  1. Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.
  2. Uphold me, and I will be delivered; I will always have regard for your decrees.
  3. You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their deceitfulness is in vain.

  1. I have done justice and righteousness; Do not leave me to my oppressors.
  2. Be surety for Your servant for good; Do not let the arrogant oppress me.
  3. My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation And for Your righteous word.
  4. Deal with Your servant according to Your lovingkindness And teach me Your statutes.
  5. I am Your servant; give me understanding, That I may know Your testimonies.
  1. I have done what is righteous and just; do not leave me to my oppressors.
  2. Ensure your servant's well-being; let not the arrogant oppress me.
  3. My eyes fail, looking for your salvation, looking for your righteous promise.
  4. Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees.
  5. I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
 
 
  1. It is time for the LORD to act, For they have broken Your law.
  2. Therefore I love Your commandments Above gold, yes, above fine gold.
  3. Therefore I esteem right all Your precepts concerning everything, I hate every false way.
  4. Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul observes them.
  5. The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
  1. It is time for you to act, O LORD; your law is being broken.
  2. Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold,
  3. and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.
  4. Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.
  5. The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
 
 
  1. I opened my mouth wide and panted, For I longed for Your commandments.
  2. Turn to me and be gracious to me, After Your manner with those who love Your name.
  3. Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any iniquity have dominion over me.
  4. Redeem me from the oppression of man, That I may keep Your precepts.
  5. Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes.
  1. I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.
  2. Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name.

  1. My eyes shed streams of water, Because they do not keep Your law.
  2. Righteous are You, O LORD, And upright are Your judgments.
  3. You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness And exceeding faithfulness.
  4. My zeal has consumed me, Because my adversaries have forgotten Your words.
  5. Your word is very pure, Therefore Your servant loves it.
  1. Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed.
  2. Righteous are you, O LORD, and your laws are right.
  3. The statutes you have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy.
  4. My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore your words.
  5. Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.
 
 
  1. I am small and despised, Yet I do not forget Your precepts.
  2. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.
  3. Trouble and anguish have come upon me, Yet Your commandments are my delight.
  4. Your testimonies are righteous forever; Give me understanding that I may live.
  5. I cried with all my heart; answer me, O LORD! I will observe Your statutes.
  1. Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts.
  2. Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true.
  3. Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.
  4. Your statutes are forever right; give me understanding that I may live.
  5. I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD, and I will obey your decrees.
 
 
  1. I cried to You; save me And I shall keep Your testimonies.
  2. I rise before dawn and cry for help; I wait for Your words.
  3. My eyes anticipate the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word.
  4. Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your ordinances.
  5. Those who follow after wickedness draw near; They are far from Your law.
  1. I call out to you; save me and I will keep your statutes.
  2. I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word.
  3. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
  4. Hear my voice in accordance with your love; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws.
  5. Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law.
 
 
  1. You are near, O LORD, And all Your commandments are truth.
  2. Of old I have known from Your testimonies That You have founded them forever.
  3. Look upon my affliction and rescue me, For I do not forget Your law.
  4. Plead my cause and redeem me; Revive me according to Your word.
  5. Salvation is far from the wicked, For they do not seek Your statutes.
  1. Yet you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.
  2. Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever.
  3. Look upon my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law.
  4. Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise.
  5. Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek out your decrees.
 
 
  1. Great are Your mercies, O LORD; Revive me according to Your ordinances.
  2. Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, Yet I do not turn aside from Your testimonies.
  3. I behold the treacherous and loathe them, Because they do not keep Your word.
  4. Consider how I love Your precepts; Revive me, O LORD, according to Your lovingkindness.
  5. The sum of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.
  1. Your compassion is great, O LORD; preserve my life according to your laws.
  2. Many are the foes who persecute me, but I have not turned from your statutes.
  3. I look on the faithless with loathing, for they do not obey your word.
  4. See how I love your precepts; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your love.
  5. All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.
 
 
  1. Princes persecute me without cause, But my heart stands in awe of Your words.
  2. I rejoice at Your word, As one who finds great spoil.
  3. I hate and despise falsehood, But I love Your law.
  4. Seven times a day I praise You, Because of Your righteous ordinances.
  5. Those who love Your law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.
  1. Rulers persecute me without cause, but my heart trembles at your word.
  2. I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoil.
  3. I hate and abhor falsehood but I love your law.
  4. Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.
  5. Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
 
 
  1. I hope for Your salvation, O LORD, And do Your commandments.
  2. My soul keeps Your testimonies, And I love them exceedingly.
  3. I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, For all my ways are before You.
  4. Let my cry come before You, O LORD; Give me understanding according to Your word.
  5. Let my supplication come before You; Deliver me according to Your word.
  1. I wait for your salvation, O LORD, and I follow your commands.
  2. I obey your statutes, for I love them greatly.
  3. I obey your precepts and your statutes, for all my ways are known to you.
  4. May my cry come before you, O LORD; give me understanding according to your word.
  5. May my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise.
 
 
  1. Let my lips utter praise, For You teach me Your statutes.
  2. Let my tongue sing of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness.
  3. Let Your hand be ready to help me, For I have chosen Your precepts.
  4. I long for Your salvation, O LORD, And Your law is my delight.
  5. Let my soul live that it may praise You, And let Your ordinances help me.
  1. May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees.
  2. May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.
  3. May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.
  4. I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight.
  5. Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me.
 
 
  1. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.
