Proverbs 12 [KJV:NIV]   
 
  1. Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
  2. A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
  3. A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
  4. A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
  5. The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
  1. Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
  2. A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a crafty man.
  3. A man cannot be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted.
  4. A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.
  5. The plans of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.
 
 
  1. The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
  2. The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
  3. A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
  4. He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
  5. A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
  1. The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.
  2. Wicked men are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous stands firm.
  3. A man is praised according to his wisdom, but men with warped minds are despised.
  4. Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.
  5. A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
 
 
  1. He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
  2. The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
  3. The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
  4. A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
  5. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
  1. He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.
  2. The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
  3. An evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble.
  4. From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.
  5. The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.
 
 
  1. A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
  2. He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
  3. There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
  4. The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
  5. Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
  1. A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
  2. A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies.
  3. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
  4. Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
  5. There is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace.
 
 
  1. There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
  2. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
  3. A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
  4. The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
  5. Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
  1. No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble.
  2. The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful.
  3. A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the heart of fools blurts out folly.
  4. Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.
  5. An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.
 
 
  1. The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
  2. The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
  3. In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
  1. A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
  2. The lazy man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions.
  3. In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.
