Proverbs 20 [KJV:繁體]   
 
  1. Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
  2. The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
  3. It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
  4. The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
  5. Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
  1. 酒能使人褻慢、濃酒使人喧嚷.凡因酒錯誤的、就無智慧。
  2. 王的威嚇如同獅子吼叫.惹動他怒的、是自害己命。
  3. 遠離分爭是人的尊榮.愚妄人都愛爭鬧。
  4. 懶惰人因冬寒不肯耕種.到收割的時候、他必討飯、而無所得。
  5. 人心懷藏謀略、好像深水.惟明哲人、纔能汲引出來。
 
 
  1. Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
  2. The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
  3. A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
  4. Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
  5. Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.
  1. 人多述說自己的仁慈.但忠信人誰能遇著呢。
  2. 行為純正的義人、他的子孫、是有福的。
  3. 王坐在審判的位上、以眼目驅散諸惡。
  4. 誰能說、我潔淨了我的心.我脫淨了我的罪。
  5. 兩樣的法碼、兩樣的升斗、都為耶和華所憎惡。
 
 
  1. Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
  2. The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
  3. Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
  4. It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
  5. There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
  1. 孩童的動作、是清潔、是正直、都顯明他的本性。
  2. 能聽的耳、能看的眼、都是耶和華所造的。
  3. 不要貪睡、免致貧窮.眼要睜開、你就喫飽。
  4. 買物的說、不好、不好.及至買去、他便自誇。
  5. 有金子和許多珍珠.〔或作紅寶石〕惟有知識的嘴、乃為貴重的珍寶。
 
 
  1. Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
  2. Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
  3. Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
  4. He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.
  5. Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
  1. 誰為生人作保、就拿誰的衣服.誰為外人作保、誰就要承當。
  2. 以虛謊而得的食物、人覺甘甜.但後來他的口、必充滿塵沙。
  3. 計謀都憑籌算立定.打仗要憑智謀。
  4. 往來傳舌的、洩漏密事.大張嘴的不可與他結交。
  5. 咒罵父母的、他的燈必滅、變為漆黑的黑暗。
 
 
  1. An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.
  2. Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
  3. Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
  4. Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
  5. It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
  1. 起初速得的產業、終久卻不為福。
  2. 你不要說、我要以惡報惡.要等候耶和華、他必拯救你。
  3. 兩樣的法碼、為耶和華所憎惡.詭詐的天平、也為不善。
  4. 人的腳步為耶和華所定.人豈能明白自己的路呢。
  5. 人冒失說、這是聖物、許願之後纔查問、就是自陷網羅。
 
 
  1. A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
  2. The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
  3. Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.
  4. The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head.
  5. The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.
  1. 智慧的王、簸散惡人、用碌碡輥軋他們。
  2. 人的靈是耶和華的燈、鑒察人的心腹。
  3. 王因仁慈和誠實、得以保全他的國位、也因仁慈立穩。
  4. 強壯乃少年人的榮耀.白髮為老年人的尊榮。
  5. 鞭傷除淨人的罪惡.責打能入人的心腹。
