箴言 23 [繁體:NASB]   
 
  1. 你若與官長坐席、要留意在你面前的是誰。
  2. 你若是貪食的、就當拿刀放在喉嚨上。
  3. 不可貪戀他的美食、因為是哄人的食物。
  4. 不要勞碌求富、休仗自己的聰明。
  5. 你豈要定睛在虛無的錢財上麼.因錢財必長翅膀、如鷹向天飛去。
  1. When you sit down to dine with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you,
  2. And put a knife to your throat If you are a man of great appetite.
  3. Do not desire his delicacies, For it is deceptive food.
  4. Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, Cease from your consideration of it.
  5. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.
 
 
  1. 不要喫惡眼人的飯、也不要貪他的美味.
  2. 因為他心怎樣思量、他為人就是怎樣.他雖對你說、請喫、請喝、他的心卻與你相背。
  3. 你所喫的那點食物、必吐出來.你所說的甘美言語、也必落空。
  4. 你不要說話給愚昧人聽.因他必藐視你智慧的言語。
  5. 不可挪移古時的地界.也不可侵入孤兒的田地。
  1. Do not eat the bread of a selfish man, Or desire his delicacies;
  2. For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, "Eat and drink!" But his heart is not with you.
  3. You will vomit up the morsel you have eaten, And waste your compliments.
  4. Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words.
  5. Do not move the ancient boundary Or go into the fields of the fatherless,
 
 
  1. 因他們的救贖主、大有能力.他必向你為他們辨屈。
  2. 你要留心領受訓誨。側耳聽從知識的言語。
  3. 不可不管教孩童、你用杖打他、他必不至於死。
  4. 你要用杖打他、就可以救他的靈魂免下陰間。
  5. 我兒、你心若存智慧、我的心也甚歡喜。
  1. For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their case against you.
  2. Apply your heart to discipline And your ears to words of knowledge.
  3. Do not hold back discipline from the child, Although you strike him with the rod, he will not die.
  4. You shall strike him with the rod And rescue his soul from Sheol.
  5. My son, if your heart is wise, My own heart also will be glad;
 
 
  1. 你的嘴若說正直話、我的心腸也必快樂。
  2. 你心中不要嫉妒罪人.只要終日敬畏耶和華。
  3. 因為至終必有善報.你的指望也不至斷絕。
  4. 我兒、你當聽、當存智慧、好在正道上引導你的心。
  5. 好飲酒的、好喫肉的、不要與他們來往。
  1. And my inmost being will rejoice When your lips speak what is right.
  2. Do not let your heart envy sinners, But live in the fear of the LORD always.
  3. Surely there is a future, And your hope will not be cut off.
  4. Listen, my son, and be wise, And direct your heart in the way.
  5. Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, Or with gluttonous eaters of meat;
 
 
  1. 因為好酒貪食的、必致貧窮.好睡覺的、必穿破爛衣服。
  2. 你要聽從生你的父親.你母親老了、也不可藐視他。
  3. 你當買真理.就是智慧、訓誨、和聰明、也都不可賣。
  4. 義人的父親、必大得快樂.人生智慧的兒子、必因他歡喜。
  5. 你要使父母歡喜.使生你的快樂。
  1. For the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty, And drowsiness will clothe one with rags.
  2. Listen to your father who begot you, And do not despise your mother when she is old.
  3. Buy truth, and do not sell it, Get wisdom and instruction and understanding.
  4. The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who sires a wise son will be glad in him.
  5. Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her rejoice who gave birth to you.
 
 
  1. 我兒、要將你的心歸我.你的眼目、也要喜悅我的道路。
  2. 妓女是深坑.外女是窄阱.
  3. 他埋伏好像強盜、他使人中多有奸詐的。
  4. 誰有禍患、誰有憂愁、誰有爭鬥、誰有哀歎、〔或作怨言〕誰無故受傷、誰眼目紅赤、
  5. 就是那流連飲酒、常去尋找調和酒的人。
  1. Give me your heart, my son, And let your eyes delight in my ways.
  2. For a harlot is a deep pit And an adulterous woman is a narrow well.
  3. Surely she lurks as a robber, And increases the faithless among men.
  4. Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?
  5. Those who linger long over wine, Those who go to taste mixed wine.
 
 
  1. 酒發紅、在杯中閃爍、你不可觀看、雖然下咽舒暢、終久是咬你如蛇、刺你如毒蛇。
  2. 見上節
  3. 你眼必看見異怪的事。〔異怪的事或作淫婦〕你心必發出乖謬的話.
  4. 你必像躺在海中、或像臥在桅杆上.
  5. 你必說、人打我我卻未受傷、人鞭打我我竟不覺得、我幾時清醒、我仍去尋酒。
  1. Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it goes down smoothly;
  2. At the last it bites like a serpent And stings like a viper.
  3. Your eyes will see strange things And your mind will utter perverse things.
  4. And you will be like one who lies down in the middle of the sea, Or like one who lies down on the top of a mast.
  5. "They struck me, but I did not become ill; They beat me, but I did not know it When shall I awake? I will seek another drink."
