Jeremiah 34 [NIV:繁體]   
 
  1. While Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army and all the kingdoms and peoples in the empire he ruled were fighting against Jerusalem and all its surrounding towns, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD :
  2. "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Go to Zedekiah king of Judah and tell him, 'This is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it down.
  3. You will not escape from his grasp but will surely be captured and handed over to him. You will see the king of Babylon with your own eyes, and he will speak with you face to face. And you will go to Babylon.
  4. " 'Yet hear the promise of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah. This is what the LORD says concerning you: You will not die by the sword;
  5. you will die peacefully. As people made a funeral fire in honor of your fathers, the former kings who preceded you, so they will make a fire in your honor and lament, "Alas, O master!" I myself make this promise, declares the LORD.' "
  1. 巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領他的全軍、和地上屬他的各國各邦、攻打耶路撒冷和屬耶路撒冷所有的城邑．那時、耶和華的話臨到耶利米說．
  2. 耶和華以色列的　神說、你去告訴猶大王西底家、耶和華如此說、我要將這城交付巴比倫王的手、他必用火焚燒．
  3. 你必不能逃脫他的手、定被拿住、交在他的手中．你的眼要見巴比倫王的眼．他要口對口和你說話、你也必到巴比倫去。
  4. 猶大王西底家阿、你還要聽耶和華的話．耶和華論到你如此說、你必不被刀劍殺死．
  5. 你必平安而死．人必為你焚燒物件、好像為你列祖、就是在你以前的先王焚燒一般．人必為你舉哀、說、哀哉、我主阿．耶和華說、這話是我說的。
 
 
  1. Then Jeremiah the prophet told all this to Zedekiah king of Judah, in Jerusalem,
  2. while the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem and the other cities of Judah that were still holding out--Lachish and Azekah. These were the only fortified cities left in Judah.
  3. The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem to proclaim freedom for the slaves.
  4. Everyone was to free his Hebrew slaves, both male and female; no one was to hold a fellow Jew in bondage.
  5. So all the officials and people who entered into this covenant agreed that they would free their male and female slaves and no longer hold them in bondage. They agreed, and set them free.
  1. 於是先知耶利米在耶路撒冷將這一切話告訴猶大王西底家．
  2. 那時、巴比倫王的軍隊正攻打耶路撒冷、又攻打猶大所剩下的城邑、就是拉吉和亞西加．原來猶大的堅固城只剩下這兩座。
  3. 西底家王與耶路撒冷的眾民立約、要向他們宣告自由、叫各人任他希伯來的僕人和婢女自由出去、誰也不可使他的一個猶大弟兄作奴僕．（此後、有耶和華的話臨到耶利米．）

  5. 所有立約的首領和眾民、就任他的僕人婢女自由出去、誰也不再叫他們作奴僕．大家都順從、將他們釋放了．
 
 
  1. But afterward they changed their minds and took back the slaves they had freed and enslaved them again.
  2. Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
  3. "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I made a covenant with your forefathers when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. I said,
  4. 'Every seventh year each of you must free any fellow Hebrew who has sold himself to you. After he has served you six years, you must let him go free.' Your fathers, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to me.
  5. Recently you repented and did what is right in my sight: Each of you proclaimed freedom to his countrymen. You even made a covenant before me in the house that bears my Name.
  1. 後來卻又反悔、叫所任去自由的僕人婢女回來、勉強他們仍為僕婢。
  2. 因此耶和華的話臨到耶利米說、
  3. 耶和華以色列的　神如此說、我將你們的列祖從埃及地為奴之家領出來的時候、與他們立約、說、
  4. 你的一個希伯來弟兄、若賣給你服事你六年、到第七年你們各人就要任他自由出去．只是你們列祖不聽從我、也不側耳而聽。
  5. 如今你們回轉、行我眼中看為正的事、各人向鄰舍宣告自由．並且在稱為我名下的殿中、在我面前立約．
 
 
  1. But now you have turned around and profaned my name; each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free to go where they wished. You have forced them to become your slaves again.
  2. "Therefore, this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom for your fellow countrymen. So I now proclaim 'freedom' for you, declares the LORD -'freedom' to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth.
  3. The men who have violated my covenant and have not fulfilled the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat like the calf they cut in two and then walked between its pieces.
  4. The leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the court officials, the priests and all the people of the land who walked between the pieces of the calf,
  5. I will hand over to their enemies who seek their lives. Their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
  1. 你們卻又反悔、褻瀆我的名、各人叫所任去隨意自由的僕人婢女回來、勉強他們仍為僕婢。
  2. 所以耶和華如此說、你們沒有聽從我、各人向弟兄鄰舍宣告自由．看哪、我向你們宣告一樣自由、就是使你們自由於刀劍飢荒瘟疫之下．並且使你們在天下萬國中拋來拋去．這是耶和華說的。
  3. 猶大的首領、耶路撒冷的首領、太監、祭司、和國中的眾民、曾將牛犢劈開、分成兩半、從其中經過、在我面前立約．後來又違背我的約、不遵行這約上的話．
  4. 見上節
  5. 我必將他們交在仇敵和尋索其命的人手中．他們的屍首必給空中的飛鳥、和地上的野獸作食物。
 
 
  1. "I will hand Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials over to their enemies who seek their lives, to the army of the king of Babylon, which has withdrawn from you.
  2. I am going to give the order, declares the LORD, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."
  1. 並且我必將猶大王西底家和他的首領、交在他們仇敵和尋索其命的人、與那暫離你們而去巴比倫王軍隊的手中。
  2. 耶和華說、我必吩咐他們回到這城、攻打這城、將城攻取、用火焚燒．我也要使猶大的城邑變為荒場、無人居住。
