  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders."
  3. So at the LORD's command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites.
  4. These are their names: from the tribe of Reuben, Shammua son of Zaccur;
  5. from the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat son of Hori;
  1. 耶和华晓谕摩西说，
  2. 你打发人去窥探我所赐给以色列人的迦南地，他们每支派中要打发一个人，都要作首领的。
  3. 摩西就照耶和华的吩咐从巴兰的旷野打发他们去。他们都是以色列人的族长。
  4. 他们的名字，属流便支派的有撒刻的的儿子沙母亚。
  5. 属西缅支派的有何利的儿子的沙法。
 
 
  1. from the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;
  2. from the tribe of Issachar, Igal son of Joseph;
  3. from the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea son of Nun;
  4. from the tribe of Benjamin, Palti son of Raphu;
  5. from the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel son of Sodi;
  1. 属犹大支派的有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒。
  2. 属以萨迦支派的有约色的儿子以迦。
  3. 属以法莲支派的有嫩的儿子何希阿。
  4. 属便雅悯支派的有拉孚的儿子帕提。
  5. 属西布伦支派的有梭底的儿子迦叠。
 
 
  1. from the tribe of Manasseh (a tribe of Joseph), Gaddi son of Susi;
  2. from the tribe of Dan, Ammiel son of Gemalli;
  3. from the tribe of Asher, Sethur son of Michael;
  4. from the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi son of Vophsi;
  5. from the tribe of Gad, Geuel son of Maki.
  1. 约瑟的子孙，属玛拿西支派的有稣西的儿子迦底。
  2. 属但支派的有基玛利的儿子亚米利。
  3. 属亚设支派的有米迦勒的儿子西帖。
  4. 属拿弗他利支派的有缚西的儿子拿比。
  5. 属迦得支派的有玛基的儿子臼利。
 
 
  1. These are the names of the men Moses sent to explore the land. (Moses gave Hoshea son of Nun the name Joshua.)
  2. When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, "Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country.
  3. See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many.
  4. What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified?
  5. How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees on it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land." (It was the season for the first ripe grapes.)
  1. 这就是摩西所打发，窥探那地之人的名字。摩西就称嫩的儿子何希阿为约书亚。
  2. 摩西打发他们去窥探迦南地，说，你们从南地上山地去，
  3. 看那地如何，其中所住的民是强是弱，是多是少，
  4. 所住之处是好是歹，所住之处是营盘是坚城。
  5. 又看那地土是肥美是瘠薄，其中有树木没有。你们要放开胆量，把那地的果子带些来。（那时正是葡萄初熟的时候。）
 
 
  1. So they went up and explored the land from the Desert of Zin as far as Rehob, toward Lebo Hamath.
  2. They went up through the Negev and came to Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, lived. (Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
  3. When they reached the Valley of Eshcol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs.
  4. That place was called the Valley of Eshcol because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut off there.
  5. At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land.
  1. 他们上去窥探那地，从寻的旷野到利合，直到哈马口。
  2. 他们从南地上去，到了希伯仑。在那里有亚衲族人亚希幔，示筛，挞买。原来希伯仑城被建造比埃及的锁安城早七年。）
  3. 他们到了以实各谷，从那里砍了葡萄树的一枝，上头有一挂葡萄，两个人用杠抬着，又带了些石榴和无花果来。
  4. 因为以色列人从那里砍来的那挂葡萄，所以那地方叫作以实各谷。）
  5. 过了四十天，他们窥探那地才回来，
 
 
  1. They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.
  2. They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit.
  3. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there.
  4. The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan."
  5. Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."
  1. 到了巴兰旷野的加低斯，见摩西，亚伦，并以色列的全会众，回报摩西，亚伦，并全会众，又把那地的果子给他们看。
  2. 又告诉摩西说，我们到了你所打发我们去的那地，果然是流奶与蜜之地。这就是那地的果子。
  3. 然而住那地的民强壮，城邑也坚固宽大，并且我们在那里看见了亚衲族的人。
  4. 亚玛力人住在南地。赫人，耶布斯人，亚摩利人住在山地。迦南人住在海边并约旦河旁。
  5. 迦勒在摩西面前安抚百姓，说，我们立刻上去得那地吧。我们足能得胜。
 
 
  1. But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are."
  2. And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.
  3. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."
  1. 但那些和他同去的人说，我们不能上去攻击那民，因为他们比我们强壮。
  2. 探子中有人论到所窥探之地，向以色列人报恶信，说，我们所窥探，经过之地是吞吃居民之地，我们在那里所看见的人民都身量高大。
  3. 我们在那里看见亚衲族人，就是伟人。他们是伟人的后裔。据我们看，自己就如蚱蜢一样。据他们看，我们也是如此。
