  1. Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;
  2. The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,
  3. Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
  4. Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:
  5. Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
  1. 流便子孙和迦得子孙的牲畜极其众多。他们看见雅谢地和基列地是可牧放牲畜之地，
  2. 就来见摩西和祭司以利亚撒，并会众的首领，说，
  3. 亚大录，底本，雅谢，宁拉，希实本，以利亚利，示班，尼波，比稳，
  4. 就是耶和华在以色列会众前面所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地，你仆人也有牲畜。
  5. 又说，我们若在你眼前蒙恩，求你把这地给我们为业，不要领我们过约旦河。
 
 
  1. And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
  2. And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?
  3. Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land.
  4. For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
  5. And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,
  1. 摩西对迦得子孙和流便子孙说，难道你们的弟兄去打仗，你们竟坐在这里麽，
  2. 你们为何使以色列人灰心丧胆，不过去进入耶和华所赐给他们的那地呢，
  3. 我先前从加低斯巴尼亚打发你们先祖去窥探那地，他们也是这样行。
  4. 他们上以实各谷，去窥探那地回来的时候，使以色列人灰心丧胆，不进入耶和华所赐给他们的地。
  5. 当日，耶和华的怒气发作，就起誓说，
 
 
  1. Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
  2. Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.
  3. And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
  4. And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.
  5. For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.
  1. 凡从埃及上来，二十岁以外的人断不得看见我对亚伯拉罕，以撒，雅各起誓应许之地，因为他们没有专心跟从我。
  2. 惟有基尼洗族耶孚尼的儿子迦勒和嫩的儿子约书亚可以看见，因为他们专心跟从我。
  3. 耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，使他们在旷野飘流四十年，等到在耶和华眼前行恶的那一代人都消灭了。
  4. 谁知，你们起来接续先祖，增添罪人的数目，使耶和华向以色列大发烈怒。
  5. 你们若退后不跟从他，他还要把以色列人撇在旷野，便是你们使这众民灭亡。
 
 
  1. And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:
  2. But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
  3. We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
  4. For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.
  5. And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,
  1. 两支派的人挨近摩西，说，我们要在这里为牲畜垒圈，为妇人孩子造城。
  2. 我们自己要带兵器行在以色列人的前头，好把他们领到他们的地方。但我们的妇人孩子，因这地居民的缘故，要住在坚固的城内。
  3. 我们不回家，直等到以色列人各承受自己的产业。
  4. 我们不和他们在约旦河那边一带之地同受产业，因为我们的产业是坐落在约旦河东边这里。
  5. 摩西对他们说，你们若这样行，在耶和华面前带着兵器出去打仗，
 
 
  1. And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
  2. And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.
  3. But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
  4. Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.
  5. And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.
  1. 所有带兵器的人都要在耶和华面前过约旦河，等他赶出他的仇敌，
  2. 那地被耶和华制伏了，然后你们可以回来，向耶和华和以色列才为无罪，这地也必在耶和华面前归你们为业。
  3. 倘若你们不这样行，就得罪耶和华，要知道你们的罪必追上你们。
  4. 如今你们口中所出的，只管去行，为你们的妇人孩子造城，为你们的羊群垒圈。
  5. 迦得子孙和流便子孙对摩西说，仆人要照我主所吩咐的去行。
 
 
  1. Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:
  2. But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.
  3. So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
  4. And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:
  5. But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
  1. 我们的妻子，孩子，羊群，和所有的牲畜都要留在基列的各城。
  2. 但你的仆人，凡带兵器的，都要照我主所说的话，在耶和华面前过去打仗。
  3. 于是，摩西为他们嘱咐祭司以利亚撒和嫩的儿子约书亚，并以色列众支派的族长，
  4. 说，迦得子孙和流便子孙，凡带兵器在耶和华面前去打仗的，若与你们一同过约旦河，那地被你们制伏了，你们就要把基列地给他们为业。
  5. 倘若他们不带兵器和你们一同过去，就要在迦南地你们中间得产业。
 
 
  1. And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.
  2. We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.
  3. And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
  4. And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
  5. And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,
  1. 迦得子孙和流便子孙回答说，耶和华怎样吩咐仆人，仆人就怎样行。
  2. 我们要带兵器，在耶和华面前过去，进入迦南地，只是约旦河这边，我们所得为业之地仍归我们。
  3. 摩西将亚摩利王西宏的国和巴珊王噩的国，连那地和周围的城邑，都给了迦得子孙和流便子孙，并约瑟的儿子玛拿西半个支派。
  4. 迦得子孙建造底本，亚他录，亚罗珥，
  5. 亚他录朔反，雅谢，约比哈，
 
 
  1. And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.
  2. And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,
  3. And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.
  4. And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.
  5. And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.
  1. 伯宁拉，伯哈兰，都是坚固城。他们又垒羊圈。
  2. 流便子孙建造希实本，以利亚利，基列亭，
  3. 尼波，巴力免，西比玛（尼波，巴力免，名字是改了的），又给他们所建造的城另起别名。
  4. 玛拿西的儿子玛吉，他的子孙往基列去，占了那地，赶出那里的亚摩利人。
  5. 摩西将基列赐给玛拿西的儿子玛吉，他子孙就住在那里。
 
 
  1. And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair.
  2. And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
  1. 玛拿西的子孙睚珥去占了基列的村庄，就称这些村庄为哈倭特睚珥。
  2. 挪巴去占了基纳和基纳的乡村，就按自己的名称基纳为挪巴。
