  1. Joab was told, "The king is weeping and mourning for Absalom."
  2. And for the whole army the victory that day was turned into mourning, because on that day the troops heard it said, "The king is grieving for his son."
  3. The men stole into the city that day as men steal in who are ashamed when they flee from battle.
  4. The king covered his face and cried aloud, "O my son Absalom! O Absalom, my son, my son!"
  5. Then Joab went into the house to the king and said, "Today you have humiliated all your men, who have just saved your life and the lives of your sons and daughters and the lives of your wives and concubines.
  1. 有人告诉约押说,王为押沙龙哭泣悲哀。
  2. 众民听说王为他儿子忧愁,他们得胜的欢乐却变成悲哀。
  3. 那日众民暗暗地进城,就如败阵逃跑,惭愧的民一般。
  4. 王蒙着脸,大声哭号说,我儿押沙龙阿。押沙龙,我儿,我儿阿。
  5. 约押进去见王,说,你今日使你一切仆人脸面惭愧了。他们今日救了你的性命和你儿女妻妾的性命,
 
 
  1. You love those who hate you and hate those who love you. You have made it clear today that the commanders and their men mean nothing to you. I see that you would be pleased if Absalom were alive today and all of us were dead.
  2. Now go out and encourage your men. I swear by the LORD that if you don't go out, not a man will be left with you by nightfall. This will be worse for you than all the calamities that have come upon you from your youth till now."
  3. So the king got up and took his seat in the gateway. When the men were told, "The king is sitting in the gateway," they all came before him. Meanwhile, the Israelites had fled to their homes.
  4. Throughout the tribes of Israel, the people were all arguing with each other, saying, "The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies; he is the one who rescued us from the hand of the Philistines. But now he has fled the country because of Absalom;
  5. and Absalom, whom we anointed to rule over us, has died in battle. So why do you say nothing about bringing the king back?"
  1. 你却爱那恨你的人,恨那爱你的人。你今日明明地不以将帅,仆人为念。我今日看明,若押沙龙活着,我们都死亡,你就喜悦了。
  2. 现在你当出去,安慰你仆人的心。我指着耶和华起誓,你若不出去,今夜必无一人与你同在一处。这祸患就比你从幼年到如今所遭的更甚。
  3. 于是王起来,坐在城门口。众民听说王坐在城门口,就都到王面前。以色列人已经逃跑,各回各家去了。
  4. 以色列众支派的人纷纷议论说,王曾救我们脱离仇敌的手,又救我们脱离非利士人的手,现在他躲避押沙龙逃走了。
  5. 我们膏押沙龙治理我们,他已经阵亡。现在为什么不出一言请王回来呢。
 
 
  1. King David sent this message to Zadok and Abiathar, the priests: "Ask the elders of Judah, 'Why should you be the last to bring the king back to his palace, since what is being said throughout Israel has reached the king at his quarters?
  2. You are my brothers, my own flesh and blood. So why should you be the last to bring back the king?'
  3. And say to Amasa, 'Are you not my own flesh and blood? May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if from now on you are not the commander of my army in place of Joab.' "
  4. He won over the hearts of all the men of Judah as though they were one man. They sent word to the king, "Return, you and all your men."
  5. Then the king returned and went as far as the Jordan. Now the men of Judah had come to Gilgal to go out and meet the king and bring him across the Jordan.
  1. 大卫王差人去见祭司撒督和亚比亚他,说,你们当向犹大长老说,以色列众人已经有话请王回宫,你们为什么落在他们后头呢。
  2. 你们是我的弟兄,是我的骨肉,为什么在人后头请王回来呢。
  3. 也要对亚玛撒说,你不是我的骨肉麽。我若不立你替约押常作元帅,愿神重重地降罚与我。
  4. 如此就挽回犹大众人的心,如同一人的心。他们便打发人去见王,说,请王和王的一切臣仆回来。
  5. 王就回来,到了约旦河。犹大人来到吉甲,要去迎接王,请他过约旦河。
 
 
  1. Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite from Bahurim, hurried down with the men of Judah to meet King David.
  2. With him were a thousand Benjamites, along with Ziba, the steward of Saul's household, and his fifteen sons and twenty servants. They rushed to the Jordan, where the king was.
  3. They crossed at the ford to take the king's household over and to do whatever he wished. When Shimei son of Gera crossed the Jordan, he fell prostrate before the king
  4. and said to him, "May my lord not hold me guilty. Do not remember how your servant did wrong on the day my lord the king left Jerusalem. May the king put it out of his mind.
  5. For I your servant know that I have sinned, but today I have come here as the first of the whole house of Joseph to come down and meet my lord the king."
  1. 巴户琳的便雅悯人,基拉的儿子示每急忙与犹大人一同下去迎接大卫王。
  2. 跟从示每的有一千便雅悯人,还有扫罗家的仆人洗巴和他十五个儿子,二十个仆人。他们都趟过约旦河迎接王。
  3. 有摆渡船过去,渡王的家眷,任王使用。王要过约旦河的时候,基拉的儿子示每就俯伏在王面前,
  4. 对王说,我主我王出耶路撒冷的时候,仆人行悖逆的事,现在求我主不要因此加罪与仆人,不要记念,也不要放在心上。
  5. 仆人明知自己有罪,所以约瑟全家之中,今日我首先下来迎接我主我王。
 
 
  1. Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said, "Shouldn't Shimei be put to death for this? He cursed the LORD's anointed."
  2. David replied, "What do you and I have in common, you sons of Zeruiah? This day you have become my adversaries! Should anyone be put to death in Israel today? Do I not know that today I am king over Israel?"
  3. So the king said to Shimei, "You shall not die." And the king promised him on oath.
  4. Mephibosheth, Saul's grandson, also went down to meet the king. He had not taken care of his feet or trimmed his mustache or washed his clothes from the day the king left until the day he returned safely.
  5. When he came from Jerusalem to meet the king, the king asked him, "Why didn't you go with me, Mephibosheth?"
  1. 洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛说,示每既咒骂耶和华的受膏者,不应当治死他麽。
  2. 大卫说,洗鲁雅的儿子,我与你们有何关涉,使你们今日与我反对呢。今日在以色列中岂可治死人呢。我岂不知今日我作以色列的王麽。
  3. 于是王对示每说,你必不死。王就向他起誓。
  4. 扫罗的孙子米非波设也下去迎接王。他自从王去的日子,直到王平平安安地回来,没有修脚,没有剃胡须,也没有洗衣服。
  5. 他来到耶路撒冷迎接王的时候,王问他说,米非波设,你为什么没有与我同去呢。
 
 
  1. He said, "My lord the king, since I your servant am lame, I said, 'I will have my donkey saddled and will ride on it, so I can go with the king.' But Ziba my servant betrayed me.
  2. And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king. My lord the king is like an angel of God; so do whatever pleases you.
  3. All my grandfather's descendants deserved nothing but death from my lord the king, but you gave your servant a place among those who eat at your table. So what right do I have to make any more appeals to the king?"
  4. The king said to him, "Why say more? I order you and Ziba to divide the fields."
  5. Mephibosheth said to the king, "Let him take everything, now that my lord the king has arrived home safely."
  1. 他回答说,我主我王,仆人是瘸腿的。那日我想要备驴骑上,与王同去,无奈我的仆人欺哄了我,
  2. 又在我主我王面前谗毁我。然而我主我王如同神的使者一般,你看怎样好,就怎样行吧。
  3. 因为我祖全家的人,在我主我王面前都算为死人,王却使仆人在王的席上同人吃饭,我现在向王还能辨理诉冤麽。
  4. 王对他说,你何必再提你的事呢。我说,你与洗巴均分地土。
  5. 米非波设对王说,我主我王既平平安安地回宫,就任凭洗巴都取了也可以。
 
 
  1. Barzillai the Gileadite also came down from Rogelim to cross the Jordan with the king and to send him on his way from there.
  2. Now Barzillai was a very old man, eighty years of age. He had provided for the king during his stay in Mahanaim, for he was a very wealthy man.
  3. The king said to Barzillai, "Cross over with me and stay with me in Jerusalem, and I will provide for you."
  4. But Barzillai answered the king, "How many more years will I live, that I should go up to Jerusalem with the king?
  5. I am now eighty years old. Can I tell the difference between what is good and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats and drinks? Can I still hear the voices of men and women singers? Why should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?
  1. 基列人巴西莱从罗基琳下来,要送王过约旦河,就与王一同过了约旦河。
  2. 巴西莱年纪老迈,已经八十岁了。王住在玛哈念的时候,他就拿食物来供给王。他原是大富户。
  3. 王对巴西莱说,你与我同去,我要在耶路撒冷那里养你的老。
  4. 巴西莱对王说,我在世的年日还能有多少,使我与王同上耶路撒冷呢。
  5. 仆人现在八十岁了,还能尝出饮食的滋味,辨别美恶麽。还能听男女歌唱的声音麽。仆人何必累赘我主我王呢。
 
 
  1. Your servant will cross over the Jordan with the king for a short distance, but why should the king reward me in this way?
  2. Let your servant return, that I may die in my own town near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever pleases you."
  3. The king said, "Kimham shall cross over with me, and I will do for him whatever pleases you. And anything you desire from me I will do for you."
  4. So all the people crossed the Jordan, and then the king crossed over. The king kissed Barzillai and gave him his blessing, and Barzillai returned to his home.
  5. When the king crossed over to Gilgal, Kimham crossed with him. All the troops of Judah and half the troops of Israel had taken the king over.
  1. 仆人只要送王过约旦河,王何必赐我这样的恩典呢。
  2. 求你准我回去,好死在我本城,葬在我父母的墓旁。这里有王的仆人金罕,让他同我主我王过去,可以随意待他。
  3. 王说,金罕可以与我同去,我必照你的心愿待他。你向我求什么,我都必为你成就。
  4. 于是众民过约旦河,王也过去。王与巴西莱亲嘴,为他祝福,巴西莱就回本地去了。
  5. 王过去,到了吉甲,金罕也跟他过去。犹大众民和以色列民的一半也都送王过去。
 
 
  1. Soon all the men of Israel were coming to the king and saying to him, "Why did our brothers, the men of Judah, steal the king away and bring him and his household across the Jordan, together with all his men?"
  2. All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, "We did this because the king is closely related to us. Why are you angry about it? Have we eaten any of the king's provisions? Have we taken anything for ourselves?"
  3. Then the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, "We have ten shares in the king; and besides, we have a greater claim on David than you have. So why do you treat us with contempt? Were we not the first to speak of bringing back our king?" But the men of Judah responded even more harshly than the men of Israel.
  1. 以色列众人来见王,对他说,我们弟兄犹大人为什么暗暗送王和王的家眷,并跟随王的人过约旦河。
  2. 犹大众人回答以色列人说,因为王与我们是亲属,你们为何因这事发怒呢。我们吃了王的什么呢。王赏赐了我们什么呢。
  3. 以色列人回答犹大人说,按支派,我们与王有十分的情分。在大卫身上,我们也比你们更有情分。你们为何藐视我们,请王回来不先与我们商量呢。但犹大人的话比以色列人的话更硬。
