  1. Now Jehoram the son of Ahab became king over Israel at Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, though not like his father and his mother; for he put away the sacred pillar of Baal which his father had made.
  3. Nevertheless, he clung to the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin; he did not depart from them.
  4. Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder, and used to pay the king of Israel 100,000 lambs and the wool of 100,000 rams.
  5. But when Ahab died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
  1. 犹大王约沙法十八年,亚哈的儿子约兰在撒马利亚登基作了以色列王十二年。
  2. 他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事,但不至像他父母所行的,因为除掉他父所造巴力的柱像。
  3. 然而,他贴近尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪,总不离开。
  4. 摩押王米沙牧养许多羊,每年将十万羊羔的毛和十万公绵羊的毛给以色列王进贡。
  5. 亚哈死后,摩押王背叛以色列王。
 
 
  1. And King Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time and mustered all Israel.
  2. Then he went and sent word to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, "The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?" And he said, "I will go up; I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."
  3. He said, "Which way shall we go up?" And he answered, "The way of the wilderness of Edom."
  4. So the king of Israel went with the king of Judah and the king of Edom; and they made a circuit of seven days' journey, and there was no water for the army or for the cattle that followed them.
  5. Then the king of Israel said, "Alas! For the LORD has called these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab."
  1. 那时约兰王出撒马利亚,数点以色列众人。
  2. 前行的时候,差人去见犹大王约沙法,说,摩押王背叛我,你肯同我去攻打摩押麽。他说,我肯上去,你我不分彼此,我的民与你的民一样,我的马与你的马一样。
  3. 约兰说,我们从哪条路上去呢。回答说,从以东旷野的路上去。
  4. 于是,以色列王和犹大王,并以东王,都一同去绕行七日的路程。军队和所带的牲畜没有水喝。
  5. 以色列王说,哀哉。耶和华招聚我们这三王,乃要交在摩押人的手里。
 
 
  1. But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?" And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah."
  2. Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the LORD is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
  3. Now Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What do I have to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother." And the king of Israel said to him, "No, for the LORD has called these three kings together to give them into the hand of Moab."
  4. Elisha said, "As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look at you nor see you.
  5. "But now bring me a minstrel " And it came about, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.
  1. 约沙法说,这里不是有耶和华的先知麽。我们可以托他求问耶和华。以色列王的一个臣子回答说,这里有沙法的儿子以利沙,就是从前服事以利亚的(原文作倒水在以利亚手上的)。
  2. 约沙法说,他必有耶和华的话。于是以色列王和约沙法,并以东王都下去见他。
  3. 以利沙对以色列王说,我与你何干。去问你父亲的先知和你母亲的先知吧。以色列王对他说,不要这样说,耶和华招聚我们这三王,乃要交在摩押人的手里。
  4. 以利沙说,我指着所事奉永生的万军耶和华起誓,我若不看犹大王约沙法的情面,必不理你,不顾你。
  5. 现在你们给我找一个弹琴的来。弹琴的时候,耶和华的灵(原文作手)就降在以利沙身上。
 
 
  1. He said, "Thus says the LORD, 'Make this valley full of trenches.'
  2. "For thus says the LORD, 'You shall not see wind nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, both you and your cattle and your beasts.
  3. 'This is but a slight thing in the sight of the LORD; He will also give the Moabites into your hand.
  4. 'Then you shall strike every fortified city and every choice city, and fell every good tree and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.'"
  5. It happened in the morning about the time of offering the sacrifice, that behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
  1. 他便说,耶和华如此说,你们要在这谷中满处挖沟。
  2. 因为耶和华如此说,你们虽不见风,不见雨,这谷必满了水,使你们和牲畜有水喝。
  3. 在耶和华眼中这还算为小事,他也必将摩押人交在你们手中。
  4. 你们必攻破一切坚城美邑,砍伐各种佳树,塞住一切水泉,用石头糟踏一切美田。
  5. 次日早晨,约在献祭的时候,有水从以东而来,遍地就满了水。
 
 
  1. Now all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them. And all who were able to put on armor and older were summoned and stood on the border.
  2. They rose early in the morning, and the sun shone on the water, and the Moabites saw the water opposite them as red as blood.
  3. Then they said, "This is blood; the kings have surely fought together, and they have slain one another. Now therefore, Moab, to the spoil!"
  4. But when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites arose and struck the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land, slaughtering the Moabites.
  5. Thus they destroyed the cities; and each one threw a stone on every piece of good land and filled it So they stopped all the springs of water and felled all the good trees, until in Kir-hareseth only they left its stones; however, the slingers went about it and struck it.
  1. 摩押众人听见这三王上来要与他们争战,凡能顶盔贯甲的,无论老少,尽都聚集站在边界上。
  2. 次日早晨,日光照在水上,摩押人起来,看见对面水红如血,
  3. 就说,这是血阿。必是三王互相击杀,俱都灭亡。摩押人哪,我们现在去抢夺财物吧。
  4. 摩押人到了以色列营,以色列人就起来攻打他们,以致他们在以色列人面前逃跑。以色列人往前追杀摩押人,直杀入摩押的境内,
  5. 拆毁摩押的城邑,各人抛石填满一切美田,塞住一切水泉,砍伐各种佳树,只剩下吉珥哈列设的石墙。甩石的兵在四围攻打那城。
 
 
  1. When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him 700 men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom; but they could not.
  2. Then he took his oldest son who was to reign in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering on the wall. And there came great wrath against Israel, and they departed from him and returned to their own land.
  1. 摩押王见阵势甚大,难以对敌,就率领七百拿刀的兵,要冲过阵去到以东王那里,却是不能。
  2. 便将那应当接续他作王的长子,在城上献为燔祭。以色列人遭遇耶和华的大怒(或作招人痛恨),于是三王离开摩押王,各回本国去了。
