Proverbs 13 [NIV:简体]   
 
  1. A wise son heeds his father's instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke.
  2. From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a craving for violence.
  3. He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.
  4. The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
  5. The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked bring shame and disgrace.
  1. 智慧子听父亲的教训。亵慢人不听责备。
  2. 人因口所结的果子,必享美福。奸诈人必遭强暴。
  3. 谨守口的,得保生命。大张嘴的,必致败亡。
  4. 懒惰人羡慕,却无所得。殷勤人必得丰裕。
  5. 义人恨恶谎言。恶人有臭名,且致惭愧。
 
 
  1. Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.
  2. One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.
  3. A man's riches may ransom his life, but a poor man hears no threat.
  4. The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.
  5. Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
  1. 行为正直的,有公义保守。犯罪的被邪恶倾覆。
  2. 假作富足的,却一无所有。装作穷乏的,却广有财物。
  3. 人的赀财,是他生命的赎价。穷乏人却听不见威吓的话。
  4. 义人的光明亮。(明亮原文作喜欢)恶人的灯要熄灭。
  5. 骄傲只启争竞。听劝言的,却有智慧。
 
 
  1. Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.
  2. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
  3. He who scorns instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command is rewarded.
  4. The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
  5. Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard.
  1. 不劳而得之财,必然消耗。勤劳积蓄的,必见加增。
  2. 所盼望的迟延未得,令人心忧。所愿意的临到,却是生命树。
  3. 藐视训言的,自取灭亡。敬畏诫命的,必得善报。
  4. 智慧人的法则,(或作指教)是生命的泉源,可以使人离开死亡的网罗。
  5. 美好的聪明,使人蒙恩。奸诈人的道路,崎岖难行。
 
 
  1. Every prudent man acts out of knowledge, but a fool exposes his folly.
  2. A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy envoy brings healing.
  3. He who ignores discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.
  4. A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil.
  5. He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
  1. 凡通达人都凭知识行事。愚昧人张扬自己的愚昧。
  2. 奸恶的使者,必陷在祸患里。忠信的使臣,乃医人的良药。
  3. 弃绝教管的,必致贫受辱。领受责备的,必得尊荣。
  4. 所欲的成就,心觉甘甜。远离恶事,为愚昧人所憎恶。
  5. 与智慧人同行的,必得智慧。和愚昧人作伴的,必受亏损。
 
 
  1. Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous.
  2. A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous.
  3. A poor man's field may produce abundant food, but injustice sweeps it away.
  4. He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
  5. The righteous eat to their hearts' content, but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry.
  1. 祸患追赶罪人。义人必得善报。
  2. 善人给子孙遗留产业。罪人为义人积存赀财。
  3. 穷人耕种多得粮食,但因不义有消灭的。
  4. 不忍用杖打儿子的,是恨恶他。疼爱儿子的,随时管教。
  5. 义人吃得饱足。恶人肚腹缺粮。
