Proverbs 18 [NIV:简体]   
 
  1. An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends; he defies all sound judgment.
  2. A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions.
  3. When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes disgrace.
  4. The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.
  5. It is not good to be partial to the wicked or to deprive the innocent of justice.
  1. 与众寡合的,独自寻求心愿,并恼恨一切真智慧。
  2. 愚昧人不喜爱明哲,只喜爱显露心意。
  3. 恶人来,藐视随来。羞耻到,辱骂同到。
  4. 人口中的言语,如同深水。智慧的泉源,好像涌流的河水。
  5. 瞻徇恶人的情面,偏断义人的案件,都为不善。
 
 
  1. A fool's lips bring him strife, and his mouth invites a beating.
  2. A fool's mouth is his undoing, and his lips are a snare to his soul.
  3. The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man's inmost parts.
  4. One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.
  5. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
  1. 愚昧人张嘴启争端,开口招鞭打。
  2. 愚昧人的口,自取败坏。他的嘴,是他生命的网罗。
  3. 传舌人的言语,如同美食,深入人的心腹。
  4. 作工懈怠的,与浪费人为弟兄。
  5. 耶和华的名,是坚固台。义人奔入,便得安稳。
 
 
  1. The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it an unscalable wall.
  2. Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.
  3. He who answers before listening-- that is his folly and his shame.
  4. A man's spirit sustains him in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear?
  5. The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; the ears of the wise seek it out.
  1. 富足人的财物,是他的坚城,在他心想,犹如高墙。
  2. 败坏之先,人心骄傲。尊荣以前,必有谦卑。
  3. 未曾听完先回答的,便是他的愚昧,和羞辱。
  4. 人有疾病,心能忍耐。心灵忧伤,谁能承当呢。
  5. 聪明人的心得知识。智慧人的耳求知识。
 
 
  1. A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.
  2. The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him.
  3. Casting the lot settles disputes and keeps strong opponents apart.
  4. An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city, and disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel.
  5. From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied.
  1. 人的礼物,为他开路,引他到高位的人面前。
  2. 先诉情由的,似乎有理。但邻舍来到,就察出实情。
  3. 掣签能止息争竞,也能解散强胜的人。
  4. 弟兄结怨,劝他和好,比取坚固城还难。这样的争竞,如同坚寨的门闩。
  5. 人口中所结的果子,必充满肚腹。他嘴所出的,必使他饱足。
 
 
  1. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
  2. He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.
  3. A poor man pleads for mercy, but a rich man answers harshly.
  4. A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
  1. 生死在舌头的权下。喜爱他的,必吃他所结的果子。
  2. 得着贤妻的,是得着好处,也是蒙了耶和华的恩惠。
  3. 贫穷人说哀求的话。富足人用威吓的话回答。
  4. 滥交朋友的,自取败坏。但有一朋友,比弟兄更亲密。
