Proverbs 25 [NIV:简体]   
 
  1. These are more proverbs of Solomon, copied by the men of Hezekiah king of Judah:
  2. It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.
  3. As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.
  4. Remove the dross from the silver, and out comes material for the silversmith;
  5. remove the wicked from the king's presence, and his throne will be established through righteousness.
  1. 以下也是所罗门的箴言。是犹大王希西家的人所誊录的。
  2. 将事隐秘,乃神的荣耀。将事察清,乃君王的荣耀。
  3. 天之高,地之厚,君王之心也测不透。
  4. 除去银子的渣滓,就有银子出来,银匠能以作器皿。
  5. 除去王面前的恶人,国位就靠公义坚立。
 
 
  1. Do not exalt yourself in the king's presence, and do not claim a place among great men;
  2. it is better for him to say to you, "Come up here," than for him to humiliate you before a nobleman. What you have seen with your eyes
  3. do not bring hastily to court, for what will you do in the end if your neighbor puts you to shame?
  4. If you argue your case with a neighbor, do not betray another man's confidence,
  5. or he who hears it may shame you and you will never lose your bad reputation.
  1. 不要在王面前妄自尊大。不要在大人的位上站立。
  2. 宁可有人说,请你上来,强如在你觐见的王子面前,叫你退下。
  3. 不要冒失出去与人争竞,免得至终被他羞辱,你就不知道怎样行了。
  4. 你与邻舍争讼,要与他ㄧ人辩论。不可泄漏人的密事。
  5. 恐怕听见的人骂你,你的臭名就难以脱离。
 
 
  1. A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
  2. Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is a wise man's rebuke to a listening ear.
  3. Like the coolness of snow at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the spirit of his masters.
  4. Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of gifts he does not give.
  5. Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.
  1. 一句话说得合宜,就如金苹果在银网子里。
  2. 智慧人的劝戒,在顺从的人耳中,好像金耳环,和精金的妆饰。
  3. 忠信的使者,叫差他的人心里舒畅,就如在收割时,有冰雪的凉气。
  4. 空夸赠送礼物的,好像无雨的风云。
  5. 恒常忍耐,可以劝动君王。柔和的舌头,能折断骨头。
 
 
  1. If you find honey, eat just enough-- too much of it, and you will vomit.
  2. Seldom set foot in your neighbor's house-- too much of you, and he will hate you.
  3. Like a club or a sword or a sharp arrow is the man who gives false testimony against his neighbor.
  4. Like a bad tooth or a lame foot is reliance on the unfaithful in times of trouble.
  5. Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar poured on soda, is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
  1. 你得了蜜麽,只可吃够而已。恐怕你过饱就呕吐出来。
  2. 你的脚要少进邻舍的家,恐怕他厌烦你,恨恶你。
  3. 作假见证陷害邻舍的,就是大槌,是利刀,是快箭。
  4. 患难时倚靠不忠诚的人,好像破坏的牙,错骨缝的脚。
  5. 对伤心的人唱歌,就如冷天脱衣服,又如硷上倒醋。
 
 
  1. If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
  2. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.
  3. As a north wind brings rain, so a sly tongue brings angry looks.
  4. Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
  5. Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.
  1. 你的仇敌,若饿了就给他饭吃。若渴了就给他水喝。
  2. 因为你这样行,就是把炭火堆在他的头上。耶和华也必赏赐你。
  3. 北风生雨,谗谤人的舌头也生怒容。
  4. 宁可住在房顶的角上,不在宽阔的房屋与争吵的妇人同住。
  5. 有好消息从远方来,就如拿凉水给口渴的人喝。
 
 
  1. Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.
  2. It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honorable to seek one's own honor.
  3. Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.
  1. 义人在恶人面前退缩,好像Y1浑之泉,弄浊之井。
  2. 吃蜜过多,是不好的。考究自己的荣耀,也是可厌的。
  3. 人不制服自己的心,好像毁坏的城邑,没有墙垣。
