- 우리는 하느님과 함께 일하는 사람으로서 여러분에게 간곡히 부탁합니다. 여러분이 받은 하느님의 은총을 헛되게 하지 마십시오.
- 하느님께서는, "너에게 자비를 베풀 만한 때에 네 말을 들어주었고 너를 구원해야 할 날에 너를 도와주었다." 하고 말씀하셨습니다. 지금이 바로 그 자비의 때이며 오늘이 바로 구원의 날입니다.
- 우리가 하는 전도 사업이 비난을 받지 않기 위해서 우리는 사람들의 비위를 상하게 하는 일은 조금도 하지 않으려고 합니다.
- 우리는 무슨 일에나 하느님의 일꾼으로서 일할 따름입니다. 그래서 우리는 환난과 궁핍과 역경도 잘 참아냈고
- 매질과 옥살이와 폭동을 잘 겪어냈으며 심한 노동을 하고 잠을 못 자고 굶주리면서도 그 고통을 잘 견디어냈습니다.

- As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.
- For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
- We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.
- Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;
- in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;

- 우리는 순결과 지식과 끈기와 착한 마음을 가지고 성령의 도우심과 꾸밈없는 사랑과
- 진리의 말씀과 하느님의 능력으로 살고 있습니다. 두 손에는 정의의 무기를 들고
- 영광을 받거나 수치를 당하거나 비난을 받거나 칭찬을 받거나 언제든지 하느님의 일꾼답게 살아갑니다. 우리는 속이는 자 같으나 진실하고
- 이름 없는 자 같으나 유명하고 죽은 것 같으나 이렇게 살아 있습니다. 또 아무리 심한 벌을 받아도 죽지 않으며
- 슬픔을 당해도 늘 기뻐하고 가난하지만 많은 사람을 부요하게 만들고 아무것도 가진 것이 없지만 사실은 모든 것을 가지고 있습니다.

- in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;
- in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;
- through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors;
- known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed;
- sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
