- 여러분은 그리스도를 믿음으로써 힘을 얻습니까? 그리스도의 사랑에서 위안을 받습니까? 성령의 감화로 서로 사귀는 일이 있습니까? 서로 애정을 나누며 동정하고 있습니까?
- 그렇다면 같은 생각을 가지고 같은 사랑을 나누며 마음을 합쳐서 하나가 되십시오. 그렇게 해서 나의 기쁨을 완전하게 해주십시오.
- 무슨 일에나 이기적인 야심이나 허영을 버리고 다만 겸손한 마음으로 서로 남을 자기보다 낫게 여기십시오.
- 저마다 제 실속만 차리지 말고 남의 이익도 돌보십시오.
- 여러분은 그리스도 예수께서 지니셨던 마음을 여러분의 마음으로 간직하십시오

- If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
- then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
- Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
- Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
- Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

- 그리스도 예수는 하느님과 본질이 같은 분이셨지만 굳이 하느님과 동등한 존재가 되려 하지 않으시고
- 오히려 당신의 것을 다 내어놓고 종의 신분을 취하셔서 우리와 똑같은 인간이 되셨습니다. 이렇게 인간의 모습으로 나타나
- 당신 자신을 낮추셔서 죽기까지, 아니, 십자가에 달려서 죽기까지 순종하셨습니다.
- 그러므로 하느님께서도 그분을 높이 올리시고 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주셨습니다.
- 그래서 하늘과 땅 위와 땅 아래에 있는 모든 것이 예수의 이름을 받들어 무릎을 꿇고

- Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
- but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
- And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
- Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
- that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

- 모두가 입을 모아 예수 그리스도가 주님이시라 찬미하며 하느님 아버지를 찬양하게 되었습니다.
- 그러므로 내 사랑하는 교우 여러분, 여러분은 내가 함께 있을 때에도 언제나 순종하였거니와 그 때뿐만 아니라 떨어져 있는 지금에 와서는 더욱 순종하여 두렵고 떨리는 마음으로 여러분 자신의 구원을 위해서 힘쓰십시오.
- 여러분 안에 계셔서 여러분에게 당신의 뜻에 맞는 일을 하고자 하는 마음을 일으켜주시고 그 일을 할 힘을 주시는 분은 하느님이십니다.
- 무슨 일을 하든지 불평을 하거나 다투지 마십시오.
- 그리하여 여러분은 나무랄 데 없는 순결한 사람이 되어 이 악하고 비뚤어진 세상에서 하느님의 흠없는 자녀가 되어 하늘을 비추는 별들처럼 빛을 내십시오.

- and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
- for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
- Do everything without complaining or arguing,
- so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe

- 생명의 말씀을 굳게 지키십시오. 그래야 내가 달음질치며 수고한 것이 헛되지 않아 그리스도의 날에 자랑할 수 있을 것입니다.
- 여러분이 바치는 믿음의 제사와 제물을 위해서라면 나는 그 위에 내 피라도 쏟아 부을 것이며 그것을 나는 기뻐할 것입니다. 아니 여러분과 함께 기뻐할 것입니다.
- 그러니 여러분도 기뻐하십시오. 나와 함께 기뻐하십시오.

- as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.
- But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
- So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.
