학개

  본서는 학개 선지자가 성전 공사의 속행을 격려하고 권고하기 위해 기록하였다.

  학개는 하나님의 성전을 짓지 않고 자신의 집을 짓기에만 열중하는 백성을 꾸짖으면서 그들의 소위를 스스로 살펴볼 것을 권한다. 이에 스룹바벨과 여호수아와 백성들이 성전 건축을 시작한다. 일부 바벨론에서 돌아온 자들이 이전 성전의 영광과 비교해서 백성들을 낙심시키지만, 학개는 지금의 작업이 거대한 예언적 섭리의 일부이며 이 성전의 영광이 이전 성전의 영광보다 더 클 것이라고 하며 백성들에게 용기를 준다.

 

 

학개 1:1-2:23

 학개는 중단된 성전 재건에 관한 하나님의 말씀을 선포하였다. 그는 나태와 안일에 빠져 있는 이스라엘 백성을 책망하면서 그들이 이로 인해 여러 재해를 당하고 있음을 알렸다. 이에 이스라엘 백성은 회개한 후 성전을 재건하기 시작했다. 학개는 솔로몬 성전에 비해 왜소한 새 성전을 보고 낙담한 백성들을 격려하면서 스룹바벨에 대한 구원의 축복을 예언하였다.
  
  성전 재건(1:1-2:23)    
 
  1. 다리우스 왕 제이년 유월 초하루였다. 야훼께서 예언자 하깨를 시켜 스알디엘의 아들 즈루빠벨 유다 총독과 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대사제에게 말씀을 내리셨다.
  2. 만군의 야훼께서 하신 말씀이다. "이 백성은 아직 주의 성전을 지을 때가 아니라고 말한다."
  3. 야훼께서 예언자 하깨를 시켜 하신 말씀은 이러하다.
  4. "너희는 어찌하여 성전이 무너졌는데도 아랑곳없이 벽을 널빤지로 꾸민 집에서 사느냐?
  5. 나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 너희가 어떻게 지내왔는지 돌아보아라.
  1. In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest:
  2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "These people say, 'The time has not yet come for the LORD's house to be built.' "
  3. Then the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai:
  4. "Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?"
  5. Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways.
  1. 씨는 많이 뿌렸어도 수확은 적었고, 먹어도 배부르지 않으며, 마셔도 성이 차지 않고, 입어도 따뜻하지 않으며, 아무리 벌어들여도 밑빠진 독에 물붓기다.
  2. 나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 너희가 어떻게 지내왔는지 돌아보아라.
  3. 산에 가서 나무를 찍어다가 나의 성전을 지어라. 나는 그 집을 기꺼이 받아들이고 거기에서 내 영광을 드러내리라. 나 야훼의 말이다.
  4. 많이 거두려니 했지만, 거두고 보니 얼마나 되더냐? 집에 들여온 것마저도 내가 날려버리리라. 만군의 야훼가 그 곡절을 일러주리라. 너희가 나의 성전 무너진 것은 아랑곳하지 않고 제 집만 짓느라고 바삐 돌아다닌 탓이다.
  5. 그러니 하늘이 이슬을 내릴 성싶으냐? 땅이 소출을 낼 성싶으냐?
  1. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it."
  2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways.
  3. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored," says the LORD.
  4. "You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the LORD Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.
  5. Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.
  1. 나는 평지에도 산에도 가뭄이 들라고 선포하였다. 땅은 밀도, 포도주도, 올리브 기름도, 그 밖의 어떤 소출도 내지 않아 사람도 짐승도 모두 배를 곯게 되었다. 너희가 손이 닳도록 한 일이 모두 허사가 되었다!"
  2. 스알디엘의 아들 즈루빠벨과 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대사제와 그 밖에 살아 남은 모든 백성은 저희의 하느님 야훼께서 보내신 예언자 하깨가 전하는 하느님의 말씀을 듣고 야훼를 두려워하게 되었다.
  3. 그래서 하깨는 야훼의 특사로서 야훼께로부터 받은 말씀을 전하였다. "나는 너희와 함께 있으리라. 나 야훼의 말이다."
  4. 야훼께서 스알디엘의 아들 즈루빠벨 유다 총독과 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대사제와 그 밖에 살아 남은 모든 백성의 마음을 움직이셨다. 그래서 그들은 저희의 하느님, 만군의 야훼의 성전에 들어가 일을 시작하였다.
  5. 때는 유월 이십사일이었다.
  1. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands."
  2. Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the LORD their God had sent him. And the people feared the LORD.
  3. Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, gave this message of the LORD to the people: "I am with you," declares the LORD.
  4. So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the LORD Almighty, their God,
  5. on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius.
 
 
  1. 그 해 칠월 이십일일, 주께서 예언자 하깨를 시켜 말씀을 내리셨다.
  2. "스알디엘의 아들 즈루빠벨 유다 총독과 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대사제와 그 밖에 살아 남은 모든 백성에게 일러라.
  3. '이 성전이 예전에는 얼마나 영광스러웠더냐? 너희 가운데 그것을 본 사람이 더러 남아 있으리라. 그런데 지금 이 성전은 어떠하냐? 너희의 눈에도 이 따위는 있으나마나 하지 않으냐?
  4. 그러나 즈루빠벨아, 힘을 내어라. 나 야훼의 말이다. 여호사닥의 아들 대사제 여호수아야, 힘을 내어라. 이 땅 모든 백성들아, 힘을 내어라. 그리고 일을 시작하여라. 내가 너희 곁에 있어주리라. 만군의 야훼가 말한다.
  5. 너희가 이집트에서 나올 때 너희와 계약을 맺으며 약속한 대로 나의 영이 너희 가운데 머물러 있을 터이니, 겁내지 마라
  1. On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai:
  2. "Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them,
  3. 'Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing?
  4. But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' declares the LORD. 'Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' declares the LORD, 'and work. For I am with you,' declares the LORD Almighty.
  5. 'This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.'
  1. 나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 나는 이제 곧 하늘과 땅, 바다와 육지를 뒤흔들고
  2. 뭇 민족도 뒤흔들리라. 그리하면 뭇 민족이 보화를 가지고 오리니, 내가 내리는 영광이 이 성전에 차고 넘치리라. 야훼의 말이다.
  3. 은도 나의 것이요, 금도 나의 것이다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다.
  4. 지금 짓는 이 성전이 예전의 성전보다 더 영화로울 것이다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 나는 이 곳에 평화를 주리라. 만군의 야훼가 말한다.'"
  5. 다리우스 제이년 구월 이십사일, 야훼께서 예언자 하깨를 시켜 말씀을 내리셨다.
  1. "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.
  2. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty.
  3. 'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD Almighty.
  4. 'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty."
  5. On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Haggai:
  1. "나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 너는 사제들에게 법을 물어보아라.
  2. 제물로 바쳤던 고기를 싼 옷자락에 빵이나 익힌 음식이나 포도주나 올리브 기름이나 그 밖에 어떤 음식이 닿았다고 하여, 그런 것이 제물처럼 거룩해지느냐고 물어보아라." 사제들은 그렇지 않다고 대답하였다.
  3. 하깨가 또 "몸이 시체에 닿아 부정을 탄 사람이 어떤 음식을 만졌다면, 그 음식도 부정을 타느냐?" 하고 물으니 사제들은 부정을 탄다고 대답하였다.
  4. 이 말을 받아 하깨는 이렇게 전하였다. "이 백성, 이 민족도 마찬가지다. 그런 사람이 만든 것도 마찬가지다. 야훼의 말이다. 거기에 닿으면 무엇이든지 부정을 탄다.
  5. 그러니 이제 너희는 주의 성전을 짓기 시작한 이 날부터 일이 어떻게 되어 가는지 눈여겨보아라.
  1. "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Ask the priests what the law says:
  2. If a person carries consecrated meat in the fold of his garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew, some wine, oil or other food, does it become consecrated?' " The priests answered, "No."
  3. Then Haggai said, "If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?" "Yes," the priests replied, "it becomes defiled."
  4. Then Haggai said, " 'So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,' declares the LORD. 'Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.
  5. " 'Now give careful thought to this from this day on --consider how things were before one stone was laid on another in the LORD's temple.
  1. 이제까지는 곡식 스무 단이 나던 곳에서 열 단밖에 나지 않았고, 포도주 쉰 동이가 나던 술틀에서 스무 동이밖에 나지 않았다.
  2. 나는 너희가 괘씸하여 너희 손으로 가꾼 것은 다 말라 쭉정이나 깜부기가 되게 하였고, 또 우박으로 짓부수기도 하였다. 그래도 너희는 나에게 마음을 돌리려 하지 않았다. 야훼의 말이다.
  3. 너희는 야훼의 성전 주추를 놓은 구월 이십사일, 바로 이 날부터 앞으로 어떻게 달라지는지 눈여겨보아라.
  4. 곳간에 둔 종자가 줄어드는지, 포도, 무화과, 석류, 올리브가 열리는지 안 열리는지 두고 보아라. 나는 이 날부터 복을 내리기로 하였다."
  5. 그 달 이십사일, 야훼께서 하깨에게 또다시 말씀을 내리셨다.
  1. When anyone came to a heap of twenty measures, there were only ten. When anyone went to a wine vat to draw fifty measures, there were only twenty.
  2. I struck all the work of your hands with blight, mildew and hail, yet you did not turn to me,' declares the LORD.
  3. 'From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought to the day when the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid. Give careful thought:
  4. Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. " 'From this day on I will bless you.' "
  5. The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:
  1. "너는 유다 총독 즈루빠벨에게 이렇게 일러라. '내가 하늘과 땅을 뒤흔들리라.
  2. 또 뭇 나라 옥좌를 뒤엎고 뭇 민족의 힘을 꺾으리라. 병거대를 뒤집어엎고 기마대는 저희끼리 싸우다가 서로 칼에 맞아 쓰러지게 하리라.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 스알디엘의 아들 즈루빠벨아, 내가 너를 들어올리리라. 너는 나의 종이다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 내가 너를 뽑았으니 너는 옥새처럼 소중하다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다.'"
  1. "Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I will shake the heavens and the earth.
  2. I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.
  3. " 'On that day,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,' declares the LORD, 'and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,' declares the LORD Almighty."
