스가랴 4:1-7:14

 스가랴는 여덟 가지 환상 중 다섯번째로 두 감람나무 사이의 순금 등대 환상, 여섯번째로 날아가는 두루마리 환상, 일곱번째로 에바 안의 여인 환상, 그리고 마지막으로 네 병거 환상을 보았다. 이어 대제사장 여호수아의 대관식을 거행하라는 하나님의 명령이 임했는데, 이는 여덟 가지 환상 중에 예표된 ‘순’과 마찬가지로 메시아를 상징하는 것이었다. 금식 제도가 계속 시행되어야 하는지의 여부를 묻는 벧엘 사람들의 질문에 대해 스가랴는 하나님의 답변을 전하였다.
  
  환상들과 금식(4:1-7:14)    
 
  1. 나와 말을 하던 그 천사가 돌아와서 나를 흔들어 깨웠다. 잠이 덜 깬 사람처럼 얼떨떨해하는 나에게,
  2. 그가 물었다. "무엇이 보이느냐?" 나는 금으로 만든 등잔대가 보인다고 대답하였다. 그 등잔대 꼭대기엔 그릇이 하나 있고, 그 가장자리로 돌아가며 심지 주둥이가 하나씩 뚫린 등잔 일곱 개가 붙어 있었다.
  3. 그리고 올리브 나무 두 그루가 등잔대 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 하나씩 서 있었다.
  4. 나는 나와 말하던 그 천사에게 "나리, 이것들이 무엇입니까?" 하고 물었다.
  5. 나와 말하던 그 천사는 "이것이 무엇을 뜻하는지 모르느냐?" 하고 되물었다. 내가 모르겠다고 하자,
  1. Then the angel who talked with me returned and wakened me, as a man is wakened from his sleep.
  2. He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lights on it, with seven channels to the lights.
  3. Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left."
  4. I asked the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?"
  5. He answered, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I replied.
  1. 그 천사가 나에게 일러주었다. 이것은 야훼께서 즈루빠벨이 할 일을 말씀하신 것이다. "그것은 권세나 힘으로 될 일이 아니라 내 영을 받아야 될 일이다." 만군의 야훼께서 하신 말씀이시다.
  2. "산아, 네 아무리 크다 하여도 즈루빠벨 앞에서는 평지에 지나지 않는다. 그가 산에서 머릿돌을 떼어올 때, 사람들은 '멋지다, 멋지다.' 하며 환성을 올리리라."
  3. 야훼의 말씀이 나에게 내렸다.
  4. "즈루빠벨이 제 손으로 이 집에 주춧돌을 놓았으니, 그가 손수 그 일을 이루리라. 그제야 나를 너희에게 보내신 이가 만군의 야훼이심을 너희가 알리라.
  5. 일이 자잘하게 시작되어 사람들이 빈정거렸지만, 즈루빠벨이 골라놓은 돌을 보고는 그 사람들도 기뻐할 것이다. 이 일곱 등잔은 천하를 살피는 야훼의 눈이다."
  1. So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.
  2. "What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!' "
  3. Then the word of the LORD came to me:
  4. "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.
  5. "Who despises the day of small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. "(These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range throughout the earth.)"
  1. 나는 그 천사에게 "그러면 등잔대 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 있는 올리브 나무 두 그루는 무엇입니까?
  2. 또 금대롱으로 기름을 대어주는 올리브 나무 가지가 둘 있는데, 그것은 무엇입니까?" 하고 물었다.
  3. 그 천사가, 그것이 무엇인지 모르겠느냐고 하기에 내가 모르겠다고 대답하자,
  4. 그는 이렇게 일러주었다. "올리브 나무 두 그루는 온 세상의 주를 모시도록 기름 부어 성별한 두 사람을 뜻한다."
  1. Then I asked the angel, "What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?"
  2. Again I asked him, "What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?"
  3. He replied, "Do you not know what these are?" "No, my lord," I said.
  4. So he said, "These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth."
 
 
  1. 또 내가 고개를 들고 쳐다보니, 두루마리 책 한 권이 날고 있었다.
  2. 그가 나에게 무엇이 보이느냐고 묻기에 나는 "스무 자 길이에 나비가 열 자 되는 두루마리 책 한 권이 날고 있는 것이 보입니다." 하고 대답하였다.
  3. 그러자 그는 나에게 이렇게 일러주었다. "이것은 온 나라를 휩쓸 저주이다. 이 두루마리 한 쪽에는 '도둑질하는 자들은 다 사라지리라.'고 적혀 있고, 다른 쪽에는 '맹세하면서 사기 치는 자도 다 여기에서 사라지리라.' 라고 적혀 있다.
  4. 이것은 내가 보낸 것이다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 남의 것을 훔쳐 먹은 자의 집에도, 내 이름을 팔아 거짓을 옳다고 맹세하며 사기 치는 자의 집에도 들어가 그 집 안에 머물면서 대들보와 돌담까지 다 허물어뜨릴 것이다."
  5. 나와 말하던 그 천사가 나서서 말하였다. "저기 나타나는 것이 무엇인지 눈을 똑바로 뜨고 보아라."
  1. I looked again--and there before me was a flying scroll!
  2. He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll, thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide. "
  3. And he said to me, "This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.
  4. The LORD Almighty declares, 'I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in his house and destroy it, both its timbers and its stones.' "
  5. Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, "Look up and see what this is that is appearing."
  1. 내가 "저것이 무엇입니까?" 하고 묻자 그가 대답하였다. "저기 나타나는 것은 말이다. 저 말 속에는 온 땅에 가득한 죄악이 담겨 있다."
  2. 그러자 납으로 된 뚜껑이 열리면서, 그 큰 말 속에 한 여인이 앉아 있는 모습이 보였다.
  3. 그는 "몹쓸 것"이라고 하면서 그 여인을 말 속에 틀어넣고 납뚜껑을 도로 덮었다.
  4. 다시 고개를 들어보니, 두 여인이 나타나서 황새 날개 같은 날개로 바람을 일으키며 그 말을 공중으로 들어올려 날아가고 있었다.
  5. 내가 나와 말하던 그 천사에게 "저 여인들은 그 말을 어디로 가지고 갑니까?" 하고 묻자
  1. I asked, "What is it?" He replied, "It is a measuring basket. " And he added, "This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land."
  2. Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman!
  3. He said, "This is wickedness," and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth.
  4. Then I looked up--and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
  5. "Where are they taking the basket?" I asked the angel who was speaking to me.
  1. 그는 나에게 이렇게 일러주었다. "그가 있을 신전을 시날 땅에 짓고 받침대를 마련하여 그 위에 모시려고 갔다."
  1. He replied, "To the country of Babylonia to build a house for it. When it is ready, the basket will be set there in its place."
 
 
  1. 또다시 고개를 들고 보니, 놋쇠로 된 두 산 사이에서 병거 네 대가 나오는데
  2. 첫째 병거는 붉은 말들이, 둘째 병거는 검은 말들이,
  3. 셋째 병거는 흰 말들이, 넷째 병거는 짙은 점박이 말들이 끌고 있었다.
  4. 내가 나와 말하던 그 천사에게, "나리, 이것이 무엇입니까?" 하고 묻자 그 천사는 이렇게 말하였다.
  5. "이 네 병거는 하늘의 영들이다. 이 영들은 온 천하의 주님을 들어가 뵈옵고 이제 막 나와 사방으로 떠나는 길이다.
  1. I looked up again--and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains--mountains of bronze!
  2. The first chariot had red horses, the second black,
  3. the third white, and the fourth dappled--all of them powerful.
  4. I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these, my lord?"
  5. The angel answered me, "These are the four spirits of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.
  1. 붉은 말들은 동녘 땅으로, 검은 말들은 북녘 땅으로, 흰 말들은 서녘 땅으로, 점박이 말들은 남녘 땅으로 나갈 말이다."
  2. 그 씩씩한 말들은 나가서 온 세상을 순찰하라는 명령을 초조하게 기다리고 있었다.
  3. 그 천사가 나를 부르며 일러주었다. "자, 보아라. 북녘 땅으로 나갈 말들이 주의 영을 모시고 북녘 땅으로 떠난다."
  4. 주의 말씀이 나에게 내렸다.
  5. "헬대, 토비아, 여다야, 스바니야의 아들 요시야가 포로민이 바친 예물을 가지고 바빌론에서 돌아왔는데, 너는 오늘 그것을 받으러 가거라.
  1. The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west, and the one with the dappled horses toward the south."
  2. When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth. And he said, "Go throughout the earth!" So they went throughout the earth.
  3. Then he called to me, "Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit rest in the land of the north."
  4. The word of the LORD came to me:
  5. "Take silver and gold from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon. Go the same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah.
  1. 그 금과 은을 받아다가 면류관을 만들어 스알디엘의 아들 즈루빠벨 머리에 씌우고는,
  2. 이렇게 일러주어라. '나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 이 사람을 보아라. 그 이름은 새싹이니, 이 사람이 앉은 자리에서 싹이 돋으리라. 그는 야훼의 성전을 지을 사람이다.
  3. 이 사람이 바로 야훼의 성전을 짓고, 영광스런 옥좌에 앉아 나라를 다스릴 사람이다. 그의 오른편에 사제가 앉으리니, 두 사람은 뜻이 잘 맞을 것이다.
  4. 그 면류관은 야훼의 성전에 보관해 두어 헬대, 토비아, 여다야, 스바니야의 아들 여호수아의 갸륵한 뜻을 기념하도록 하여라.'"
  5. 먼 데서 온 사람들이 야훼의 성전을 세울 것이다. 그제야 너희는 나를 보내신 이가 만군의 야훼이심을 알리라. 그러나 야훼의 말씀을 잘 듣지 않으면 일은 이루어지지 않을 것이다.
  1. Take the silver and gold and make a crown, and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua son of Jehozadak.
  2. Tell him this is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Here is the man whose name is the Branch, and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the LORD.
  3. It is he who will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.'
  4. The crown will be given to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
  5. Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the LORD, and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the LORD your God."
 
 
  1. 다리우스 왕 제사년, 기슬레우월, 곧 구월 사일, 야훼의 말씀이 즈가리야에게 내렸다.
  2. 베델사레셀이라는 사람이 레겜멜렉에게 부하를 딸려 야훼께 보내어 자비를 빌며,
  3. 만군의 야훼의 성전에 있는 사제들과 예언자들에게 문의하였다. "이제까지 여러 해 동안 오월이 되면 나는 단식하며 곡했는데, 앞으로도 그대로 해야 하겠습니까?"
  4. 그 때 만군의 야훼께서 나에게 말씀을 내리셨다.
  5. "이 나라 온 백성과 사제들에게 일러라. '너희가 과거 칠십 년간이나 오월과 칠월이면 단식하고 곡해 왔다만, 언제 나를 생각하고 단식했더냐?
  1. In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Kislev.
  2. The people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-Melech, together with their men, to entreat the LORD
  3. by asking the priests of the house of the LORD Almighty and the prophets, "Should I mourn and fast in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?"
  4. Then the word of the LORD Almighty came to me:
  5. "Ask all the people of the land and the priests, 'When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for the past seventy years, was it really for me that you fasted?
  1. 내 앞에서 먹고 마실 적에도 너희끼리만 먹고 마시지 아니하였느냐?
  2. 나 야훼가 일찍이 예언자를 시켜 이런 말을 하지 않았느냐? 그 때에는 예루살렘에서 사람들이 마음놓고 살았고, 주위 성읍들과 남쪽 지방, 야산 지대에도 사람이 살고 있었다.'"
  3. 야훼의 말씀이 즈가리야에게 내렸다.
  4. "나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 너희는 사실대로 공정한 재판을 하여라. 동족끼리 서로 신의를 지키며 열렬히 사랑하여라.
  5. 과부와 고아, 더부살이와 영세민을 억누르지 말고 동족끼리 해칠 마음을 품지 마라."
  1. And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?
  2. Are these not the words the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were at rest and prosperous, and the Negev and the western foothills were settled?' "
  3. And the word of the LORD came again to Zechariah:
  4. "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.
  5. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.'
  1. 이렇게 일러주셨는데도 사람들은 귀담아듣기는커녕 오히려 외면한 채 귀를 막았다.
  2. 마음이 차돌처럼 굳어져 만군의 야훼께서 일찍이 당신의 영을 부어주시며 예언자들을 시켜 내리신 법과 교훈을 듣지 않았다. 그리하여 만군의 야훼께서 크게 노하셨다.
  3. 만군의 야훼께서는 당신께서 아무리 부르셔도 사람들이 듣지 않으므로 당신께서도 사람들이 부르짖을 때 듣지 아니하시리라고 말씀하셨다.
  4. 그리고 사람들을 흩뜨리시어 낯선 민족들 가운데 끼여 살게 하셨다. 그들이 다 흩어진 다음, 이 나라는 오가는 사람도 없이 황폐해졌고 기름진 땅은 거친 쑥밭이 되고 말았다.
  1. "But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and stopped up their ears.
  2. They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the LORD Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the LORD Almighty was very angry.
  3. " 'When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,' says the LORD Almighty.
  4. 'I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land was left so desolate behind them that no one could come or go. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.' "
