- 예수께서 또 다른 비유를 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "하늘 나라는 어떤 사람이 밭에 좋은 씨를 뿌린 것에 비길 수 있다.
- 사람들이 잠을 자고 있는 동안에 원수가 와서 밀밭에 가라지를 뿌리고 갔다.
- 밀이 자라서 이삭이 팼을 때 가라지도 드러났다.
- 종들이 주인에게 와서 '주인님, 밭에 뿌리신 것은 좋은 씨가 아니었습니까? 그런데 가라지는 어디서 생겼습니까?' 하고 묻자
- 주인의 대답이 '원수가 그랬구나!' 하였다. '그러면 저희가 가서 그것을 뽑아버릴까요?' 하고 종들이 다시 묻자

- Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
- But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
- But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
- So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
- He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

- 주인은 '가만 두어라. 가라지를 뽑다가 밀까지 뽑으면 어떻게 하겠느냐?
- 추수 때까지 둘 다 함께 자라도록 내버려두어라. 추수 때에 내가 추수꾼에게 일러서 가라지를 먼저 뽑아서 단으로 묶어 불에 태워버리게 하고 밀은 내 곳간에 거두어들이게 하겠다.' 하고 대답하였다."
- 예수께서 또 다른 비유를 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "하늘 나라는 겨자씨에 비길 수 있다. 어떤 사람이 밭에 겨자씨를 뿌렸다.
- 겨자씨는 모든 씨앗 중에서 가장 작은 것이지만 싹이 트고 자라나면 어느 푸성귀보다도 커져서 공중의 새들이 날아와 그 가지에 깃들일 만큼 큰 나무가 된다."
- 예수께서 또 다른 비유를 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "어떤 여자가 누룩을 밀가루 서 말 속에 집어넣었더니 온통 부풀어올랐다. 하늘 나라는 이런 누룩에 비길 수 있다."

- But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
- Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
- Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
- Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
- Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

- 예수께서는 이 모든 것을 군중에게 비유로 말씀하시고 비유가 아니면 아무것도 말씀하지 않으셨다.
- 그리하여 예언자를 시켜, "내가 말할 때에는 비유로 말하겠고 천지 창조 때부터 감추인 것을 드러내리라." 하신 말씀이 그대로 이루어졌다.
- 그 뒤에 예수께서 군중을 떠나 집으로 들어가셨다. 그러자 제자들이 와서 "그 밀밭의 가라지 비유를 자세히 설명해 주십시오." 하고 청했다.
- 예수께서는 이렇게 설명하셨다. "좋은 씨를 뿌리는 이는 사람의 아들이요,
- 밭은 세상이요, 좋은 씨는 하늘 나라의 자녀요, 가라지는 악한 자의 자녀를 말하는 것이다.

- All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
- That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
- Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
- He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
- The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

- 가라지를 뿌린 원수는 악마요, 추수 때는 세상이 끝나는 날이요, 추수꾼은 천사들이다.
- 그러므로 추수 때에 가라지를 뽑아서 묶어 불에 태우듯이 세상 끝날에도 그렇게 할 것이다.
- 그 날이 오면 사람의 아들이 자기 천사들을 보낼 터인데 그들은 남을 죄짓게 하는 자들과 악행을 일삼는 자들을 모조리 자기 나라에서 추려내어
- 불구덩이에 처넣을 것이다. 그러면 거기에서 그들은 가슴을 치며 통곡할 것이다.
- 그 때에 의인들은 그들의 아버지의 나라에서 해와 같이 빛날 것이다. 들을 귀가 있는 사람은 알아들어라."

- The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
- As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
- The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
- And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
- Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
