- 예수께서 그 곳을 떠나 띠로 지방으로 가셨다. 거기서 어떤 집에 들어가 아무도 모르게 조용히 계시려 했으나 결국 알려지고 말았다.
- 그래서 악령이 들린 어린 딸을 둔 어떤 여자가 곧 소문을 듣고 예수를 찾아와 그 앞에 엎드렸다.
- 그 여자는 시로페니키아 출생의 이방인이었는데 자기 딸에게서 마귀를 쫓아내 달라고 간청하였다.
- 그러나 예수께서는 "자녀들을 먼저 배불리 먹여야 한다. 자녀들이 먹는 빵을 강아지들에게 던져주는 것은 좋지 않다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 그래도 그 여자는 "선생님, 그렇긴 합니다만 상 밑에 있는 강아지도 아이들이 먹다 떨어뜨린 부스러기는 얻어 먹지 않습니까?" 하고 사정하였다.

- And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
- For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
- The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
- But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
- And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

- 그제야 예수께서는 "옳은 말이다. 어서 돌아가 보아라. 마귀는 이미 네 딸에게서 떠나갔다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 그 여자가 집에 돌아가 보니 아이는 자리에 누워 있었고 과연 마귀는 떠나가고 없었다.
- 그 뒤 예수께서는 띠로 지방을 떠나 시돈에 들르셨다가 데카폴리스 지방을 거쳐 갈릴래아 호수로 돌아오셨다.
- 그 때에 사람들이 귀먹은 반벙어리를 예수께 데리고 와서 그에게 손을 얹어주시기를 청하였다.
- 예수께서는 그 사람을 군중 사이에서 따로 불러내어 손가락을 그의 귓속에 넣으셨다가 침을 발라 그의 혀에 대시고

- And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
- And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
- And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
- And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
- And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

- 하늘을 우러러 한숨을 내쉰 다음 "에파타." 하고 말씀하셨다. '열려라.'라는 뜻이었다.
- 그러자 그는 귀가 열리고 혀가 풀려서 말을 제대로 하게 되었다.
- 예수께서는 이 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 엄하게 이르셨으나 그럴수록 사람들은 더욱 더 널리 소문을 퍼뜨렸다.
- 사람들은 "귀머거리를 듣게 하시고 벙어리도 말을 하게 하시니 그분이 하시는 일은 놀랍기만 하구나." 하며 경탄하여 마지않았다.

- And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
- And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
- And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
- And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
