	마가복음 9:1-9:29 예수님께서는 변화산에서 변화하심으로 메시아로서의 신분을 드러내셨다. 변화산에서 내려오신 예수님께서는 귀신을 쫓아내지 못한 제자들에게 믿음이 없음을 꾸짖으시고 귀신 들린 자를 고치셨다.

	변화산 사건(9:1-9:13)

예수께서 또 말씀하셨다. "나는 분명히 말한다. 여기 서 있는 사람들 중에는 죽기 전에 하느님 나라가 권능을 떨치며 오는 것을 볼 사람들도 있다."

엿새 후에 예수께서 베드로와 야고보와 요한만을 따로 데리고 높은 산으로 올라가셨다. 그 때 예수의 모습이 그들 앞에서 변하고

그 옷은 세상의 어떤 마전장이도 그보다 더 희게 할 수 없을 만큼 새하얗고 눈부시게 빛났다.

그런데 그 자리에는 엘리야가 모세와 함께 나타나서 예수와 이야기하고 있었다.

그 때 베드로가 나서서 "선생님, 저희가 여기서 지내면 얼마나 좋겠습니까! 여기에 초막 셋을 지어 하나는 선생님을 모시고 하나는 모세를, 하나는 엘리야를 모셨으면 합니다." 하고 예수께 말하였다.

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

베드로는 다른 제자들과 함께 겁에 질려서 무슨 말을 해야 좋을지 몰라 엉겁결에 그렇게 말했던 것이다.

바로 그 때에 구름이 일며 그들을 덮더니 구름 속에서 "이는 내 사랑하는 아들이니 너희는 그의 말을 잘 들어라." 하는 소리가 들려왔다.

제자들은 곧 주위를 둘러보았으나 예수와 자기들밖에는 아무도 보이지 않았다.

산에서 내려오시면서 예수께서는 제자들에게 "사람의 아들이 죽었다 다시 살아날 때까지는 지금 본 것을 아무에게도 말하지 마라." 하고 단단히 당부하셨다.

제자들은 이 말씀을 마음에 새겨두었다. 그러나 죽었다가 다시 살아난다는 말씀이 무슨 뜻인지 몰라서 서로 물어보다가

For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

예수께 "율법학자들은 엘리야가 먼저 와야 한다고 하는데 어떻게 된 일입니까?" 하고 물었다.

예수께서는 이렇게 대답하셨다. "과연 엘리야가 먼저 와서 모든 것을 바로잡아 놓을 것이다. 그런데 성서에 사람의 아들이 많은 고난을 받고 멸시를 당하리라고 한 것은 무슨 까닭이겠느냐?

너희에게 말해 두거니와, 사실은 성서에 기록된 대로 엘리야는 벌써 왔었고 사람들은 그를 제멋대로 다루었다."

And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

	귀신 들린 아이를 고치심(9:14-9:29)

그들이 다른 제자들이 있는 곳으로 돌아와 보니 제자들이 큰 군중에게 둘러싸여 율법학자들과 말다툼을 하고 있었다.

사람들은 예수를 보자 모두 놀라서 달려와 인사를 하였다.

예수께서 그들에게 "무슨 일로 저 사람들과 다투고 있느냐?" 하고 물으시자

그들 가운데 한 사람이 나서서 "선생님, 악령이 들려 말을 못하는 제 아들을 선생님께 보이려고 데려왔습니다.

악령이 한번 발작하면 그 아이는 땅에 뒹굴며 거품을 내뿜고 이를 갈다가 몸이 빳빳해지고 맙니다. 그래서 선생님의 제자들에게 악령을 쫓아내 달라고 했더니 쫓아내지 못했습니다." 하였다.

And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

예수께서는 "아, 이 세대가 왜 이다지도 믿음이 없을까! 내가 언제까지 너희와 함께 살며 이 성화를 받아야 한단 말이냐? 그 아이를 나에게 데려오너라." 하셨다.

그들이 아이를 예수께 데려오자 악령이 예수를 보고는 곧 아이에게 심한 발작을 일으키게 했다. 그래서 아이는 땅에 넘어져 입에서 거품을 흘리며 뒹굴었다.

예수께서 그 아버지에게 "아이가 이렇게 된 지 얼마나 되었느냐?" 하고 물으시자 그는 이렇게 대답하였다. "어렸을 때부터입니다.

악령의 발작으로 그 아이는 불 속에 뛰어들기도 하고 물 속에 빠지기도 하였습니다. 그래서 여러 번 죽을 뻔하였습니다. 선생님께서 하실 수 있다면 자비를 베푸셔서 저희를 도와주십시오."

이 말에 예수께서 "'할 수만 있다면'이 무슨 말이냐? 믿는 사람에게는 안 되는 일이 없다." 하시자

He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

아이 아버지는 큰소리로 "저는 믿습니다. 그러나 제 믿음이 부족하다면 도와주십시오." 하고 청하였다.

예수께서는 사람들이 몰려드는 것을 보시고 더러운 악령을 꾸짖으시며 "말 못하게 하고 듣지 못하게 하는 악령아, 들어라. 그 아이에게서 썩 나와 다시는 들어가지 마라." 하고 호령하셨다.

그러자 악령이 소리를 지르며 그 아이에게 심한 발작을 일으켜놓고 나가버렸다. 그 바람에 아이가 죽은 것같이 되자 사람들은 모두 "아이가 죽었구나!" 하고 웅성거렸다.

그러나 예수께서 아이의 손을 잡아 일으키시자 그 아이는 벌떡 일어났다.

그 뒤 예수께서 집으로 들어가셨을 때에 제자들이 "왜 저희는 악령을 쫓아내지 못하였습니까?" 하고 넌지시 물었다.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

예수께서는 "기도하지 않고서는 그런 것을 쫓아낼 수 없다." 하고 대답하셨다.

And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
