- 때로는 주께서 강물들을 사막으로 바꾸시고 샘구멍을 막아 마른 땅이 되게 하시고
- 기름진 땅을 소금밭으로 만드셨으니 그 땅에 사는 자들이 악한 탓이다.
- 그러나 주님은 광야를 연못으로 바꾸시고 마른 땅이 샘터가 되게 하시며
- 굶주린 자들로 하여금 거기에 자리잡아 사람 사는 마을을 일으키게도 하셨다.
- 사람들은 밭에 씨를 뿌리고 포도나무도 가꾸어 땅의 풍요한 소출을 거두어들였다.

- He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
- A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
- He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
- And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
- And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

- 하느님께 복을 받아 자손을 많이 보았고 가축도 탈없이 많이 불어났다.
- 그들이 재난과 우환에 쪼들려 수효가 줄어들고 쇠하여졌을 때
- 지체 높은 자들을 경멸하시고 길없는 벌판을 떠돌게 하셨다.
- 그러나 가난한 이들은 비참에서 건져내시고, 그 가문을 양떼처럼 일으켜주셨으니,
- 마음 곧은 이들은 이를 보고 기뻐하고 무릇 악한 자들은 말문이 막히리라.

- He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
- Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
- He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
- Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
- The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

- 지혜 있는 자들은 이런 일들을 익히 보고 야훼의 사랑을 깨달을지라.
|
- Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
