- 하늘에 앉아 계시는 이여, 내가 눈을 들어 당신을 쳐다봅니다.
- 상전의 손만 쳐다보는 종의 눈처럼 마님의 손만 쳐다보는 몸종의 눈처럼 우리 하느님 야훼의 자비를 바라 우리 눈이 그분을 쳐다봅니다.
- 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서. 야훼여, 불쌍히 보아주소서. 너무나도 멸시를 받았습니다.
- 배부른 자들의 비웃음 소리, 교만한 자들의 그 모멸, 이제 그만 지긋지긋합니다.

- Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
- Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
- Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
- Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
