이사야 31:1-33:24

 이사야는 하나님께 의지하지 않고 애굽에 도움을 구한 자들은 심판받을 것이며,예루살렘은 보호받고 앗수르는 망할 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 장차 의의 왕이신 메시아의 통치로 말미암아 방백들은 공평으로 일할 것이라고 하였다. 또한 경고를 받지 않는 안일한 여자들은 환난 날에 수치를 당할 것이라고 하면서, 하나님께서 위로부터 성신을 부어 주셔서 공평과 의를 펴시고 학대받는 자들의 구원이 되실 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  불신앙에 대한 심판(31:1-31:9)    
 
  1. 아, 너희가 비참하게 되리라! 원군을 청하러 이집트로 내려가는 자들아! 너희가 군마에 희망을 걸고 많은 병거와 수많은 기병대를 믿는구나! 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이는 쳐다보지도 아니하고 야훼를 찾지도 않는구나.
  2. 하느님께서 어찌 어리숙하게도 재앙을 내리신다 하시고 그 말씀을 거두시랴? 괘씸한 자들의 집을 치러 일어나시고 엉뚱한 짓을 하는 자의 편에 서는 자도 치시리라.
  3. 이집트인들은 사람이요, 신이 아니다. 그들이 타는 말은 고깃덩이요, 정신이 아니다. 야훼께서 팔을 휘두르시면, 돕던 자도 비틀거리고 도움을 받던 자도 쓰러지리라. 모두 함께 멸망하리라.
  4. 야훼께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. "사자와 새끼 사자가 사냥한 것을 물고 으르렁거리다가, 목동들이 몰려와 고함친다고 해서 겁내겠느냐? 소란을 피운들 아랑곳이나 하겠느냐? 만군의 야훼도 이렇게 시온 산과 그 언덕에 내려와 싸워주리라.
  5. 만군의 야훼가 수리처럼, 예루살렘 위를 날며 지켜주리라. 지켜주고, 건져주고, 아껴주고 구원해 주리라."
  1. Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
  2. Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
  3. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
  4. For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
  5. As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
  1. 이스라엘의 후손들아, 돌아오너라! 극악한 반역자들아, 하느님께로 돌아오너라.
  2. 그 날이 오면, 너희는 더러운 손으로 만들어놓고 위하던 은우상, 금우상을 저마다 내버릴 것이다.
  3. 아시리아는 사람이 휘두르지 않은 칼에 맞아 넘어지리라. 인간이 찌르지 않은 칼에 찔려 죽으리라. 그 정병들은 칼을 무서워하여 도망치다가 노예가 되어 죽도록 일만 하리라.
  4. 그들이 바위처럼 믿던 왕은 겁이 나 뒷걸음질치고 그 대장들은 겁에 질려 깃발을 버리고 도망치리라. 시온에 불을 장만하신 야훼의 말씀이시다. 예루살렘에 가마를 마련하신 야훼의 말씀이시다.
  1. Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
  2. For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
  3. Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
  4. And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
 
  의의 나라(32:1-32:20)    
 
  1. 왕이 정의로 나라를 다스리는 날, 고관들이 법대로 나라일을 보는 날이 온다.
  2. 그들은 바람을 막아주고 소나기를 긋게 하여주고 메마른 곳을 적셔주고 타는 땅에 바위처럼 그늘이 되어주리라.
  3. 민정을 살피는 눈이 어두워지지 아니하고 민원을 듣는 귀가 막히지 않으리라.
  4. 조급히 결재하지 아니하고 실정을 살피며 민의를 대변하는 혀가 더듬거리지 아니하리라.
  5. 다시는 겉약은 바보를 고상한 사람이라 하지 아니하고 간사한 자를 귀족이라 하지 아니하리라.
  1. Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
  2. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
  3. And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
  4. The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
  5. The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.
  1. 겉약은 바보는 함부로 입을 놀리고 나쁜 생각만을 마음속에 품는다. 그는 매사에 사기나 치고 야훼께 함부로 말하는 자이다. 굶주린 사람의 밥그릇을 쏟아버리고 목마른 사람의 물대접을 차버리는 자이다.
  2. 간사한 자는 간악한 수단이나 짜내고 간계나 꾸며대는 자이다. 비천한 자들이 권리를 주장하여도 그 가난한 자들을 거짓말로 때려잡는다.
  3. 고상한 사람은 너그러운 생각을 품고 그 너그러운 뜻으로 살아가는 사람이다.
  4. 태평무사한 여인들아, 일어나서 내 말을 들어라. 팔자가 늘어진 젊은 여인들아, 내 말을 귀담아들어라.
  5. 팔자가 늘어진 여인들아! 일 년 남짓하여 너희는 몸부림치는 신세가 되리라. 포도 농사가 망하고 말았으니 무슨 거둘 것이 있겠느냐?
  1. For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
  2. The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
  3. But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
  4. Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
  5. Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
  1. 태평무사한 여인들아, 몸서리쳐라. 팔자가 늘어진 여인들아, 몸부림쳐라. 옷을 벗고 알몸으로, 너희 허리에 베옷을 둘러라.
  2. 가슴을 치며 통곡하여라. 기름진 농토와 무성하게 열리는 포도송이를 생각하고 통곡하여라.
  3. 내 백성의 농토에 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴가 자라고 집집마다 기쁨으로 흥청거리던 마을은 망하리라.
  4. 궁전은 버림받고 혼잡하던 도시에서는 인기척이 사라지리라. 그리하여 도시가 섰던 언덕과 망대가 섰던 자리에 동굴만이 남아 들노새들이 뛰놀고, 양떼가 풀이나 뜯게 되리라.
  5. 드디어 하늘의 영기가 우리 위에 쏟아져 내려 사막은 과수원이 되고 과수원은 수풀이 되리라.
  1. Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
  2. They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
  3. Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
  4. Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
  5. Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
  1. 사막은 법이 통하는 곳이 되고 과수원은 정의의 터전이 되리라.
  2. 정의는 평화를 가져오고 법은 영원한 태평성대를 이루리라.
  3. 나의 백성은 평화스런 보금자리에서, 고요한 분위기에서 마음놓고 살게 되리라.
  4. 적의 수풀은 모조리 쓰러지고 원수의 도시는 허물어져 내리는데,
  5. 복되어라, 너희는 물길이 닿는 곳마다 씨를 뿌리고 소나 나귀를 놓아 돌아다니면서 풀을 뜯게 하리라.
  1. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
  2. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
  3. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
  4. When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.
  5. Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.
 
  주의 구원(33:1-33:24)    
 
  1. 아, 네가 비참하게 되리라. 침략 한 번 당하지 않고 남을 침략만 하는 자여! 노략 한 번 당하지 않고 남을 노략만 하는 자여! 네 침략질이 끝나고, 네가 침략을 당할 날이 오리라. 네 노략질이 끝나고, 네가 노략을 당할 날이 오리라.
  2. 오! 야훼여, 우리를 가련히 여겨주소서. 우리는 당신만을 바라옵니다. 아침마다 우리의 팔이 되시어 우리를 곤경에서 구해 주소서.
  3. 당신께서 한 번 호령하시면 뭇 백성은 허둥지둥 달아나고 당신께서 한 번 일어나시면, 민족들은 뿔뿔이 도망칩니다.
  4. 당신의 백성은 메뚜기떼처럼 전리품을 모아 들이고 누리떼처럼 그 전리품을 덮칠 것입니다.
  5. 야훼께서는 아득하게 높이 계시면서 시온을 법과 정의로 가득 채우십니다.
  1. Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
  2. O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
  3. At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
  4. And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
  5. The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
  1. 당신께서 다스리시는 안정된 시대가 옵니다. 지혜와 지식이 구원의 힘이 되고 야훼를 공경하는 것이 보물이 됩니다.
  2. 보아라, 아리엘 주민이 거리에서 애곡하고 평화사절단은 기가 막혀 통곡한다.
  3. 한길은 길손이 끊겨 텅텅 비었다. 계약은 깨지고 증인들은 인정을 받지 못하며 아무도 남 생각은 않는 세상이 되었구나.
  4. 산천은 메말라 지치고 레바논 숲은 병들어 그 모양이 말이 아니다. 사론은 사막이 되고 바산과 가르멜은 벌거숭이가 되었구나.
  5. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "나 이제 일어난다. 나 이제 몸을 일으킨다. 나 이제 일어선다.
  1. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
  2. Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
  3. The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.
  4. The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.
  5. Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
  1. 너희가 잉태한 것은 지푸라기다. 검불말고 무엇을 낳으랴? 불 같은 내 입김에 너희는 타버리리라.
  2. 만방은 구운 횟돌같이 되고 찍어다가 태우는 가시덤불같이 되리라.
  3. 먼 곳에 있는 자들아, 들어라, 내가 무슨 일을 했는가. 가까이 사는 자들아! 내가 얼마나 힘있는지 알아두어라."
  4. 시온 산에서 죄인들이 무서워 떨고 불경한 자들은 겁에 질려 떨리라. 삼킬 듯이 넘실거리는 이 불길을 누가 견디어낼 것인가? 누가 이 영원한 불꽃 속에서 견디어낼 것인가?
  5. 옳게 살고 바른 말하는 사람, 착취로 돈을 벌지 않은 사람, 뇌물을 마다고 뿌리치는 사람, 살인하자는 소리를 듣지 않으려고 귀를 막는 사람, 악한 일을 보지 않으려고 눈을 감는 사람,
  1. Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.
  2. And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.
  3. Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
  4. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
  5. He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
  1. 이런 사람은 높은 곳에 올라가 살리라. 바위 꼭대기에 튼튼한 성곽을 쌓고 사는데, 빵도 넉넉하고 물도 떨어지는 일이 없으리라.
  2. 네 눈이 화려하게 차린 너의 임금을 보리라. 널리 눈앞에 국토가 트이리라.
  3. 무섭던 그 때를 돌아보며 네 마음은 흐뭇해 하리라. "개수를 따져 셈하던 자는 어디 갔느냐? 무게를 달아 따지던 자는 어디 갔느냐? 귀중품을 조사하던 자는 어디 갔느냐?"
  4. 네가 다시는 그런 사람을 보지 아니하리라. 무슨 소린지 모를 말을 하는 백성, 도무지 귀에 익지 않은 말을 지껄이는 백성, 뜻도 모를 소리를 더듬거리는 백성이 다시는 나타나지 아니하리라.
  5. 축제 기분에 들뜬 우리 마을, 시온을 보아라! 네 눈은 아늑한 보금자리, 옮겨지지 않을 천막, 예루살렘을 보리라. 그 말뚝이 다시는 뽑히지 아니하고 그 줄 하나도 끊어지지 아니하리라.
  1. He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
  2. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
  3. Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
  4. Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
  5. Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
  1. 거기에는 넓은 강이 여러 줄기로 흐르지 아니하고 야훼께로부터 한 시내가 흘러 우리의 기쁨이 되리라. 노 젓는 큰 배는 들어오지 못하고 장엄한 배는 얼씬도 못하리라.
  2. 우리를 재판하는 이는 야훼, 우리의 법을 세우는 이도 야훼, 우리를 다스리는 왕도 야훼, 그분만이 우리를 구원하신다.
  3. (ㄱ)줄은 늘어져 더 이상 깃대를 단단히 잡아 세우지 못하고 신호기를 높이 달아 올리지도 못한다. (ㄴ)소경도 전리품을 듬뿍 얻고 절름발이도 노획물을 양껏 차지하리라.
  4. 그 곳에 사는 백성은 모든 죄를 용서받아 몸이 아프다고 탄식하는 자 없으리라.
  1. But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.
  2. For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
  3. Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.
  4. And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
