예레미야 30:1-31:26

 하나님께서는 약속대로 유다가 포로 상태에서 회복될 것과 그들을 징계하던 대적들이 하나님의 심판으로 진멸될 것이라고 말씀하셨다. 그리고 이스라엘도 멸망 후 고난 속에서 마음을 돌이키고 회개하여 야웨께로 돌아오게 될 것을 말씀하셨다. 특히 메시아를 통해 야웨와 그 백성간에 새로운 언약이 성립될 것을 예고하셨다.
  
  이스라엘과 유다의 회복(30:1-31:26)    
 
  1. 야훼께서 예레미야에게 말씀을 내리셨다.
  2. "나 야훼가 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 말한다. 내가 너에게 한 말을 모두 책에 써두어라.
  3. 내가 다짐한다. 정녕 그 날은 오고야 만다. 그 날 나는 내 백성 이스라엘과 유다를 본토로 되돌아오게 하리라. 그 조상들에게 준 이 땅으로 내 백성을 다시 데려다가 이 땅을 차지하게 하리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다."
  4. 야훼께서 이스라엘과 유다를 두고 하신 말씀은 이러하였다.
  5. "나 야훼가 말한다. 놀라서 울부짖는 소리가 들려온다. 온통 공포뿐, 평안한 곳이라고는 없구나.
  1. The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
  2. Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
  3. For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
  4. And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
  5. For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
  1. 어디든지 가서 물어보아라. 사내가 아이를 낳는 일이 있다더냐? 그런데 사내들이 모두 산모처럼 배를 움켜잡고 쩔쩔매는 꼴이 보이니 웬일이냐? 모두들 얼굴빛이 창백하게 되었구나.
  2. 무서운 날이 기어이 오고야 말았다. 이런 날은 또다시 없을 것이다. 지금은 야곱이 고난을 겪는 때지만, 결국은 거기에서 벗어나리라.
  3. 나 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 그 날이 오면 내가 야곱의 어깨에서 멍에를 벗겨 부수고 사슬을 끊어버리리라. 그러면 남의 종노릇을 하지 않고
  4. 나 야훼를 저희 하느님으로 섬기며 내가 세워줄 다윗 왕을 임금으로 섬기리라.
  5. 야곱의 후손들아, 너희는 내 종이니, 두려워하지 마라. 내가 똑똑히 일러둔다. 이스라엘 백성아, 너희는 무서워 떨지 마라. 나 이제 너희를 먼 나라에서 구해 내리라. 포로로 잡혀갔던 나라에서 너의 후손을 구해 내리라. 그제야 야곱의 후손은 고향에 돌아와 평안히 살며 아무 위협도 받지 않고 안정된 생활을 누릴 것이다.
  1. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
  2. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
  3. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
  4. But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
  5. Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
  1. 내가 너의 곁에 있어, 너를 구해 주리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다. 내가 너희를 흩뜨려 뭇 민족 가운데 끼여 살게 하였지만 그 민족들을 모두 멸하여 버릴 때, 너희만은 멸하지 않으리라. 나는 너희가 죄없다고 하지 않는다. 그래서 법대로 벌하였다.
  2. 나 야훼가 말한다. 너의 상처는 쉽사리 아물지 않으리라. 맞은 자리도 몹시 아플 것이다.
  3. 얻어터진 데를 싸매주는 이 없고 약을 써주는 이도 없으리라.
  4. 너의 정부들은 다 너를 잊고 다시 찾지도 않으리라. 죄가 많고 허물이 커서, 원수를 치듯이 나는 너희를 때려 심한 벌을 내리지 않을 수 없었다.
  5. 좀 맞았다고 하여 웬 엄살을 이렇게 부리느냐? 그 아픔은 쉽게 가시지 않으리라. 너희 죄가 너무 많고 잘못이 너무 커서 내가 그렇게 하여주는 것이다.
  1. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
  2. For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
  3. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
  4. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
  5. Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
  1. 그렇지만 이젠 너희를 집어삼킨 자들이 도로 먹힐 차례다. 너희 원수들이 포로로 끌려가고 너희를 턴 자들이 오히려 털리고, 약탈한 자들이 오히려 약탈당할 차례다.
  2. 너희가 '소박데기' 또는, '퇴물 기생 시온'이라고 불리었으나, 이제 너희의 상처에 새살이 돋아 아물게 하여주리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  3. 나 야훼가 말한다. 나는 야곱이 살던 곳만 보면 애처로워서, 그 천막을 다시 세워줄 생각이다. 허물어진 옛 성터에 성이 다시 서고 큰 집이 제자리에 앉으리라.
  4. 집집에서 찬양 소리 울려 나오고, 흥겨운 웃음 소리 번져나리라. 인구가 줄지 않고 붇게 하여주며 천대받지 않고 귀한 대접을 받게 하리라.
  5. 그 후손을 내 앞에 튼튼히 세워 전처럼 굳건한 사회가 되게 하리니, 이 백성을 박대하는 자들은 모두 벌을 받으리라.
  1. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
  2. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
  3. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
  4. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
  5. Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
  1. 같은 겨레 가운데서 이 백성의 지도자가 날 것이다. 동족 속에서 위정자가 날 것이다. 나는 그를 내 앞에 나서게 하겠다. 아무도 목숨을 걸고 내 앞에 나설 수 없지만, 그만은 내 앞에 나서게 되리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  2. 너희는 내 백성이 되고 나는 너희의 하느님이 되리라."
  3. 보아라, 야훼의 분노가 폭풍처럼 터져 나온다. 태풍처럼 악인들의 머리 위를 휘몰아친다.
  4. 그 마음에 품으신 대로 하신 다음에야 야훼의 분노는 가라앉으리라. 훗날 그 때가 되어야 너희는 눈이 열려 깨달을 것이다.
  1. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.
  2. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
  3. Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
  4. The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
 
 
  1. "내가 분명히 말한다. 그 때가 되어야 나는 이스라엘 모든 지파의 하느님이 되고, 그들은 나의 백성이 되리라.
  2. 나 야훼가 선언한다. 칼부림에서 빠져 나온 백성이 사막에서 나의 은혜를 입었다. 안식처를 찾아나선 이스라엘에게
  3. 나 야훼는 멀리서 나타나주었다. 나는 한결같은 사랑으로 너를 사랑하여 너에게 변함없는 자비를 베풀었다.
  4. 처녀 이스라엘아, 내가 너를 다시 세워주리라. 너는 다시 일어서서 몸치장을 하고 소구를 치며 흥겹게 춤추며 나오게 되리라.
  5. 사마리아 이 산 저 산에 다시 포도를 심고 심은 사람이 그 포도를 따먹게 되리라.
  1. At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
  2. Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
  3. The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
  4. Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
  5. Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
  1. '시온으로 올라가 우리 하느님 야훼를 뵙자!'고 보초들의 외치는 소리가 에브라임 산에서 터져 나올 날이 왔다.
  2. 나 야훼가 말한다. 너희는 환성을 올려 야곱을 맞이하여라. '야훼께서 당신 백성을 구해 주셨네. 이스라엘의 남은 백성을 구해 주셨네.' 종주산 위에서 이렇게 소리 높여 찬양하여라.
  3. 보아라, 내가 북녘 땅에서 그들을 데려오리라. 땅 이 끝 저 끝에서 모아오리라. 소경, 절름발이, 아기 가진 여자, 아기 업은 여자도 섞여 큰 무리를 이루어 돌아오리라.
  4. 그들은 울면서 떠나간 길을, 위로받으며 돌아오리라. 넘어지는 사람 하나 없도록 탄탄대로로 해서 시냇물가로 인도하리라. 나는 이스라엘의 아비요, 에브라임은 나의 큰아들이다.
  5. 뭇 민족들아, 이 야훼의 말을 들어라. 멀리 바다를 끼고 사는 사람들에게 이 말을 전하여라. '이스라엘을 흩으신 이가 다시 모아들이시어, 목동이 양떼를 지키듯이 보살피신다.'
  1. For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
  2. For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
  3. Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
  4. They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
  5. Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
  1. 그렇다. 이 야훼가 야곱을 해방시켰다. 이스라엘보다 센 손아귀에서 그들을 구해 내었다.
  2. 이제 그들은 시온 언덕에 와서 환성을 올리리라. 이 야훼가 주는 선물을 받으러 밀려들리라. 밀곡식, 햇포도주, 올리브 기름에다 양새끼와 송아지까지 받으리라. 마음 또한 물 댄 동산같이 다시는 시들지 아니하리라.
  3. 그렇게 되면 처녀는 기뻐하며 춤추고 젊은이와 노인이 함께 즐거워하리라. 나는 그들의 슬픔을 기쁨으로 바꾸고 근심에 찼던 마음을 위로하여 즐겁게 하리라.
  4. 사제들은 잘 먹여 기름기가 돌게 하고 내 백성은 좋은 것을 먹여 배부르게 하리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  5. 나 야훼가 말한다. 라마에서 통곡 소리가 들린다. 애절한 울음 소리가 들린다. 라헬이 자식을 잃고 울고 있구나. 그 눈앞에 아이들이 없어 위로하는 말이 하나도 귀에 들어가지 않는구나.
  1. For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.
  2. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
  3. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
  4. And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.
  5. Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
  1. 이 야훼의 말을 들어라. 울음을 그치고 눈물을 거두어라. 애태운 보람이 있어 자식들이 적국에서 돌아오리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  2. 밝은 앞날이 너를 기다리고 있다. 내가 분명히 말한다. 너의 자식들이 고향으로 돌아오리라.
  3. 에브라임이 가슴 아파하는 소리를 나는 분명히 들었다. '우리는 길들지 않은 송아지처럼 당신께 매를 맞았습니다. 고맙게도 매를 맞았습니다. 우리 하느님은 야훼시라, 주께 돌아가고 싶습니다. 부디 우리를 받아주십시오.
  4. 우리는 주님을 떠난 다음 잘못을 깨닫고 가슴치며 뉘우쳤습니다. 부끄러워 얼굴을 들 수 없었습니다. 젊어서 잘못한 일로 우리는 수모를 받았습니다.'
  5. 오냐! 에브라임은 내 아들이다. 눈에 넣어도 아프지 않은 나의 귀염둥이다. 책망을 하면서도 나는 한 번도 잊은 일이 없었다. 가엾은 생각에 내 마음은 아프기만 하였다. 내가 진정으로 하는 말이다.
  1. Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
  2. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.
  3. I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.
  4. Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
  5. Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.
  1. 푯말을 세워두어라. 갔던 길을 잊지 않도록 길목마다 표를 해두어라. 처녀 이스라엘아, 그 길로 돌아오너라. 너희가 살던 이 성읍들로 돌아오너라.
  2. 바람둥이 같은 딸아, 언제까지 떠돌기만 하겠느냐? 욕먹는 계집을 정숙하게 만들어 세상에 없던 일을 나는 하리라.
  3. 나 만군의 야훼가 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 말한다. 내가 유다를 고국으로 돌아오게 하여주리라. 그리하면 성읍들에서 이런 말이 다시 돌 것이다. '너는 착한 사람들의 보금자리, 거룩한 분이 계시는 산이라. 야훼께 복을 받아라.'
  4. 유다 백성들은 이 곳에 와서 살게 되리라. 농군이나 목자 할 것 없이 모든 성읍에 사는 사람들이 함께 살게 되리라.
  5. 지친 사람에게 마음껏 마실 물을 주고, 허기진 사람에게 배불리 먹을 양식을 주리라.
  1. Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
  2. How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
  3. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.
  4. And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.
  5. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
  1. 그리하여, '잠을 깨어 눈을 떠보니, 참 잘도 잤구나.' 하게 되리라.
  1. Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.
