호세아 9:1-11:12

 호세아는 하나님의 사랑을 배반하고 도덕적, 종교적 타락에 빠진 이스라엘의 죄를 지적하고 이로 인한 하나님의 책망과 심판을 선포하였다. 그는 금송아지를 숭배하고 이방을 좇음으로 결국 하나님을 떠난 이스라엘의 죄를 책망하면서 이 죄로 인해 전쟁과 하나님의 심판이 있을 것을 선포하고 회개를 촉구하였다. 그리고 이스라엘의 범죄에도 불구하고 하나님께서 그들을 끝까지 사랑하시어 남은 자들을 회복시키신다는 하나님의 약속을 전하였다.
  
  하나님의 책망과 심판(9:1-10:15)    
 
  1. 이스라엘아, 기뻐하지 마라. 이방 민족들처럼 기뻐 뛰지 마라. 너희는 너희 하느님을 떠나 바람을 피우며, 타작 마당에서 몸값으로 곡식을 받을 줄 알고 좋아하지만,
  2. 타작 마당에서 먹을 것이 나오지 않고 술틀에서는 마실 것이 나오지 않으며, 햇포도주는 제 맛을 내지 아니하리라.
  3. 에브라임은 야훼의 땅에서 살지 못해 이집트로 돌아가기도 하고 아시리아로 가서 부정한 것을 먹게도 되리라.
  4. 그 곳은 야훼께 포도주를 부어드리거나 제물을 차려 올리지 못하는 곳, 마련한 음식은 상가집 음식처럼 먹으면 부정을 타는 것이라, 배고플 때 먹을 수는 있어도 야훼의 성전에 갖다 바칠 것은 못 된다.
  5. 축제일이나 순례절이 돌아와도 할 일이 없으리라.
  1. Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
  2. The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
  3. They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
  4. They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
  5. What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
  1. 전란을 피해 가는 모양을 보아라. 이집트가 받아들이기는 하나 멤피스에 묻어주기밖에 더하겠느냐? 소중히 여기던 보화는 쐐기풀에 덮이고 살던 천막은 가시덩굴에 묻히겠지.
  2. 이스라엘은 알아라. 벌 내릴 날이 다가왔다. 죄지은 만큼 당할 날이 다가왔다. 너희가 목젖까지 악이 차올라 하느님을 거스르기만 하는구나. "이 어리석은 예언자야, 신들린 미친 녀석아!" 하면서
  3. 에브라임은 예언자의 천막을 노리며 길목 곳곳에 덫을 놓고 하느님의 성전에서마저 거스르는구나.
  4. 기브아 사건이 터지던 시대 못지않게 이 백성은 속속들이 썩었다. 하느님께서 이 백성의 악행을 기억하시고 그 죄를 벌하시리라.
  5. 이스라엘은 내가 처음 만났을 때, 사막에 열린 포도송이 같더니, 너희 조상들은 처음 내 눈에 띄었을 때, 맏물 무화과 같더니, 바알브올에 와서 징그러운 것에게 몸을 바치고 말았다. 우상을 좋아하다 우상처럼 추한 꼴이 되고 말았다.
  1. For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
  2. The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
  3. The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
  4. They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
  5. I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
  1. 에브라임의 자랑거리는 새처럼 날아가리라. 아이를 낳기는커녕 배지도 못하고
  2. 아들이라고 키워보아야 사람 구실 하기 전에 잃으리라. 내가 떠나고 나면, 이런 끔찍스런 일을 이 백성이 정녕 당하리라.
  3. 제가 보기에 에브라임은 자식을 화살받이로 사냥꾼 앞에 내세우고 백정에게 내어주게 될 것입니다.
  4. 그러니, 야훼께서 손을 써주셔야 하지 않겠습니까? 어떻게 하시렵니까? 차라리 자궁은 죽은 애나 배고 젖가슴은 말라 붙게 하여주십시오.
  5. 이 백성의 온갖 불의는 길갈에서 싹텄다. 이미 거기서 나는 이 백성이 싫어졌다. 이다지도 못된 짓만 하는 것들을 내 집에서 몰아내고 다시는 사랑하지 않으리라. 나를 배반하지 않은 대신이 없었다.
  1. As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
  2. Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
  3. Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
  4. Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
  5. All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
  1. 에브라임은 찍혀 그 뿌리가 말라 열매를 맺지 못하게 되었다. 아이를 낳아도, 그 귀여운 갓난이를 나는 죽이리라.
  2. 이 백성은 내 하느님의 말씀을 듣지 않다가 쫓겨나 이 민족 저 민족 가운데로 떠도는 신세가 되리라.
  1. Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
  2. My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
 
 
  1. 이스라엘은 무성한 포도덩굴, 열매를 많이 맺기는 했으나, 열매가 많을수록 제단만 늘어갔다. 나라가 번영할수록 석상만 화려해졌다.
  2. 변덕이 죽끓듯 하더니, 이제 그 죄를 받게 되었다. 하느님께서는 그 제단을 허시고 석상들을 부수시리라.
  3. "우리는 야훼 두려운 줄도 모르다가 임금도 못 모시게 되었다." 하며 한탄할 날이 곧 오리라. 그러나 그 임금이 무슨 소용이랴?
  4. 백성과 계약을 맺고는 마음에도 없는 약속이나 하고 말만 그럴듯하게 하는 것들, 악법만이 밭고랑에 독초 돋듯 돋아난다.
  5. 베다웬에 있는 송아지가 없어지면 사마리아 주민은 그 생각으로 안달하게 되리라. 그렇다, 그것을 섬기던 백성은 송아지를 생각하며 슬퍼하고 그것을 섬기던 돌팔이 사제들은 사라진 영광을 생각하며 통곡하리라.
  1. Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
  2. Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
  3. For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
  4. They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
  5. The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
  1. 그 송아지는 아시리아로 실려가 대왕에게 선물로 바쳐지리라. 이렇게 에브라임은 수치를 당하고 이스라엘은 그 우상 섬기던 일로 부끄러움을 당하리라.
  2. 사마리아는 끝장이 났다. 왕은 물에 떠내려가는 나무토막 신세가 되었다.
  3. 이스라엘의 죄악인 베다웬 산당은 무너지고 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴가 그 제단을 덮으리라. 사람들은 견디다 못해 산더러 묻어달라, 언덕더러 무너져 덮어달라고 애원하리라.
  4. 이스라엘의 죄는 기브아에서 시작되었다. 거기에서 이미 나를 거슬렀는데, 전쟁이 어찌 기브아까지 미치지 않겠느냐?
  5. 내가 이 못된 자들을 벌하러 오리라. 뭇 민족을 모아다가 쌓이고 쌓인 이 백성의 죄를 벌하리라.
  1. It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
  2. As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
  3. The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
  4. O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
  5. It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
  1. 길든 암소처럼 곡식 밟기나 좋아하던 에브라임의 귀여운 목덜미에 나는 멍에를 메웠다. 에브라임에게 쟁기를 메웠다. 유다는 밭을 갈게 하고 야곱은 써래질을 하게 하며 이렇게 일러주었다.
  2. "묵은 땅을 갈아엎고 정의를 심어라. 사랑의 열매를 거두리라. 지금은 이 야훼를 찾을 때, 이 야훼가 너희를 찾아와 복을 내리리라."
  3. 그런데 너희는 밭을 갈아 악을 심었으니, 거둘 것이 악독밖에 더 있겠느냐? 속임수로 살았으니 이젠 네가 속을 차례다. 너희가 병거를 믿고 군인이 많다고 우쭐대지만,
  4. 바로 그 때문에 너희 가운데서 반란이 일고, 요새가 모조리 함락되는 것이다. 베다르벨이 살만 왕에게 깨어지던 날, 어미와 자식이 함께 박살나지 않았느냐?
  5. 내가 이스라엘 가문을 그 모양으로 만들리라. 너희의 엄청난 죄를 그대로 두겠느냐? 때가 되면 먼동이 트듯 이스라엘 왕은 영락없이 망하리라.
  1. And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
  2. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
  3. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
  4. Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.
  5. So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
 
  신실하신 사랑(11:1-11:12)    
 
  1. 내 아들 이스라엘이 어렸을 때, 너무 사랑스러워, 나는 이집트에서 불러내었다.
  2. 그러나 부르면 부를수록 이스라엘은 나에게서 멀어져만 갔다. 바알 우상들에게 제물을 바치고 향을 피워 올렸다.
  3. 걸음마를 가르쳐주고 팔에 안아 키워주고 죽을 것을 살려주었지만, 에브라임은 나를 몰라본다.
  4. 인정으로 매어 끌어주고 사랑으로 묶어 이끌고 젖먹이처럼 들어올려 볼에 비비기도 하며 허리를 굽혀 입에 먹을 것을 넣어주었지만, 에브라임은 나를 몰라본다.
  5. 이 백성은 나를 저버리고 이집트로 되돌아가려 하지만, 결국 아시리아의 지배 아래 들리라.
  1. When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
  2. As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
  3. I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
  4. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
  5. He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
  1. 전화가 온 성읍들을 휩쓸 때, 점치던 사제들은 죽어 없어지고 제단들은 허물어지리라.
  2. 내 백성이 끝내 나를 저버리고 바알을 불러 예배하지만 바알은 저희를 높여주지 않으리라.
  3. 에브라임아, 내가 어찌 너를 버리겠느냐. 이스라엘아, 내가 어찌 너를 남에게 내어주겠느냐. 내가 어찌 너를 아드마처럼 만들며, 내가 어찌 너를 스보임처럼 만들겠느냐. 나는 마음을 고쳐먹었다. 네가 너무 불쌍해서 간장이 녹는구나.
  4. 아무리 노여운들 내가 다시 분을 터뜨리겠느냐. 에브라임을 다시 멸하겠느냐. 나는 사람이 아니고 신이다. 나는 거룩한 신으로 너희 가운데 와 있지만, 너희를 멸하러 온 것은 아니다.
  5. 이 백성은 사자처럼 소리치는 나의 뒤를 따라오리라. 내가 소리치면, 내 자손은 서쪽에서 달려오리라.
  1. And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
  2. And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
  3. How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
  4. I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
  5. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
  1. 이집트에서 참새떼처럼 날아오고 아시리아에서 비둘기처럼 날아오면 내가 내 백성을 저희 집에 살게 하리라. -야훼의 말씀이시다.
  1. They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
  2. Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
