호세아 12:1-14:9

 호세아는 이스라엘 백성의 불의한 삶에 대한 하나님의 책망과 심판을 선포하였다. 또한 그는 우상을 숭배하고 하나님을 대적하여 인간 왕을 구했던 이스라엘 백성의 죄는 하나님의 징계를 피할 수 없는 것이라고 말하였다. 그는 이스라엘이 회개할 것을 촉구하고, 회개한 자에게는 하나님께서 그들의 패역을 고치시고 그들을 즐거이 사랑하시겠다고 약속하셨음을 선포하였다.
  
  하나님의 심판과 구원(12:1-14:9)    
 
  1. 에브라임은 거짓말로 나를 에워쌌고 이스라엘 가문은 속임수로 나를 둘러쌌다. 그러나 유다는 사뭇 하느님과 함께 살아가고 거룩한 하느님에게 충성을 바친다.
  2. 에브라임은 바람이나 먹고 살며 날마다 열풍이나 쫓아다닌다. 거짓말만 하고 허풍만 떨며 아시리아와 동맹을 맺고 이집트에 기름을 선사한다.
  3. 야훼께서 유다를 심판하시고 야곱을 그 행실에 따라 벌하시리라. 그 한 짓을 따라 갚으시리라.
  4. 모태에 있을 때에는 형의 발꿈치를 잡고 늘어졌으며, 어른이 되어서는 하느님과 겨루다가
  5. 하느님의 천사에게 짓눌리자 울며 애걸하지 않았더냐? 베델에서 하느님을 만났고 거기에서 약속을 받지 않았느냐?
  1. Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
  2. The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
  3. He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
  4. Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;
  5. Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.
  1. "야훼, 만군의 하느님, 그의 이름은 야훼시라."
  2. 그러니, 너희는 너희 하느님께 돌아와 사랑과 정의를 지키며 너희 하느님만 바라고 살아라.
  3. 거짓 저울을 손에 들고 남을 속이기나 좋아하는 가나안 놈 같은 것들,
  4. "나는 정말 부자가 되었다. 한몫 단단히 잡았거든. 이 손이 닳도록 벌었는데, 누가 나를 부정축재했다고 하랴." 라고 에브라임은 말한다마는,
  5. 너희를 이집트에서 이끌어낸 것은 나 야훼 너희 하느님이었다. 내가 너희를 처음 만났을 때처럼, 너희를 다시 천막에서 살게 하리라.
  1. Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually.
  2. He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
  3. And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
  4. And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
  5. I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
  1. 나는 예언자들에게 내 말을 들려주었다. 환상도 많이 보여주었다. 나의 계획을 예언자들을 시켜 알려주었다.
  2. 길르앗이 온통 헛된 것으로 찼는데도 죄가 없다 하겠느냐? 길갈에서 황소를 잡아 바치는 것들, 그 제단들은 밭고랑에 돌더미가 되고 말리라.
  3. 야곱은 아람 평야로 도망쳤다. 이스라엘은 장가들려고 머슴을 살았고, 색시 하나 얻으려고 남의 양을 쳤다.
  4. 야훼께서 한 예언자를 시켜 이스라엘을 이집트에서 데려내오시고 그 예언자를 시켜 지켜주셨건만,
  5. 에브라임은 몹시도 하느님의 속을 썩여드렸다. 이렇게 죽을 죄를 지은 것들, 하느님께서 그 죄를 벗겨주지 않으시고 당신께서 받으셨던 모욕을 이 백성에게 되돌려주시리라.
  1. Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
  2. And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
  3. And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
  4. Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him.
 
 
  1. 에브라임이 한번 입을 열면 모두 떨더니, 그렇듯 에브라임은 이스라엘에서도 으뜸이더니, 바알의 꾐에 빠져 죄를 쓰고 망하였구나.
  2. 아직도 못할 짓만 하고 있다. 거푸집에 은을 부어 만든 신상에 지나지 않건만, 한갓 장인들이 만든 작품에 지나지 않건만 어찌하여 "여기 제물을 바쳐라. 모두 이 송아지에게 입을 맞추어라." 하는가!
  3. 그러다가 아침 안개처럼, 해뜨면 사라지는 이슬처럼, 타작 마당에서 불려가는 검불처럼, 창틈으로 새어 나가는 연기처럼 사라지겠구나.
  4. 너희를 이집트에서 이끌어낸 것은 나 야훼 너희 하느님이다. 너희에게 나 외에 어느 하느님이 있었느냐? 나말고 누가 너희를 구해 주었느냐?
  5. 그 메마른 땅 사막에서 내가 너희를 보살펴주었건만,
  1. When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
  2. And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
  3. Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
  4. Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
  5. I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
  1. 목장에서 풀을 뜯어 배가 부르자, 우쭐대다가 이 백성은 나를 잊었다.
  2. 그러므로 나는 이 백성에게 사자처럼 대하고 표범처럼 길목에서 노리며
  3. 새끼 빼앗긴 곰같이 달려들어 가슴을 찢어주리라. 개들은 그 자리에서 뜯어먹고 들짐승이 찢어발기리라.
  4. 이스라엘아, 내가 너희를 멸할 터인데, 누가 너희를 도울 수 있겠느냐?
  5. 너희를 건져줄 임금은 어디 갔느냐? 너희를 거느릴 대신들은 어찌 되었느냐? 너희가 "왕을 달라, 대신들을 달라." 하기에
  1. According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
  2. Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:
  3. I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
  4. O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
  5. I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
  1. 나는 노여워하면서도 왕을 주었다. 그러나 이제 나는 너무 화가 나서 왕을 집어치웠다.
  2. 에브라임의 죄상을 적은 문서는 보관되어 있다. 없애버리지 못하게 숨겨두었다.
  3. 해산의 진통이 왔는데, 이 어리석은 자야, 때도 모르느냐? 태를 열고 나올 생각도 않는구나!
  4. 내가 이스라엘을 스올의 손아귀에서 건져내리라. 이스라엘을 죽음에서 빼내리라. "죽음아, 네가 퍼뜨린 염병은 어찌 되었느냐? 스올아! 네가 쏜 독침은 어찌 되었느냐?"
  5. 조금도 가엾지 않다. 에브라임이 갈대처럼 무성해도 내 입김이 열풍 되어 사막에서 불어오면, 샘은 마르고 샘터는 갈라지리라. 보물 창고에 둔 귀중품도 모두 빼앗기리라.제 13 장
  1. I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
  2. The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid.
  3. The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
  4. I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
  5. Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
  1. Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
 
 
  1. 사마리아는 제 하느님께 반역했으니, 그 죄를 면할 길이 없구나. 칼에 맞아 거꾸러지고 어린것들은 박살나며 아이 밴 여인은 배를 찢기리라.
  2. 이스라엘아, 너희 하느님 야훼께 돌아오너라. 못된 짓을 하다가 쓰러졌지만,
  3. 모두 야훼께 돌아와 이렇게 빌어라. "비록 못된 짓은 하였지만, 용서하여 주십시오. 이 애원하는 소리를 들어주십시오. 우리가 이 입술로 하느님을 찬양하겠습니다.
  4. 아시리아가 어찌 우리를 구하겠습니까? 우리가 다시는 군마를 타지 아니하고 우리 손으로 만든 것 보고 우리 하느님이라 부르지 않겠습니다. 하느님 외에 누가 고아 같은 우리에게 어버이의 정을 베풀겠습니까?"
  5. 이스라엘은 나를 배신하였다가 병들었으나, 나는 그 병든 마음을 고쳐주고 사랑하여 주리라. 이제 내 노여움은 다 풀렸다.제 14 장
  1. O israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
  2. Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
  3. Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
  4. I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
  5. I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
  1. 내가 이스라엘 위에 이슬처럼 내리면 이스라엘은 나리꽃처럼 피어나고 버드나무처럼 뿌리를 뻗으리라.
  2. 햇순이 새록새록 돋아 감람나무처럼 멋지고 레바논 숲처럼 향기로우리라.
  3. 이스라엘은 다시 내 그늘에서 살며 농사 지어 곡식을 거두리라. 포도덩굴처럼 꽃이 피고 레바논의 포도주처럼 유명해지리라.
  4. 내가 기도를 들어주고 돌보아 주는데, 에브라임이 다시 우상과 무엇 때문에 상관하랴. 나는 싱싱한 전나무와도 같고 너희가 따먹을 열매가 달린 과일 나무와도 같다.
  1. His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
  2. They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
  3. Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
  4. Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
