- 예수께서 성전을 나와 얼마쯤 걸어가셨을 때 제자들이 곁으로 다가와서 성전 건물들을 가리키며 보시라고 하였다.
- 그러자 예수께서는 "저 모든 건물을 잘 보아두어라. 나는 분명히 말한다. 저 돌들이 어느 하나도 제자리에 그대로 얹혀 있지 못하고 다 무너지고 말 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 그리고 예수께서 올리브 산에 올라가 앉으셨을 때에 제자들이 따로 와서 "그런 일이 언제 일어나겠습니까? 그리고 주님께서 오실 때와 세상이 끝날 때에 어떤 징조가 나타나겠습니까? 저희에게 알려주십시오." 하고 말하였다.
- 예수께서는 이렇게 대답하셨다. "아무에게도 속지 않도록 조심하여라.
- 장차 많은 사람이 내 이름을 내세우며 나타나서 '내가 그리스도다!' 하고 떠들어대면서 수많은 사람들을 속일 것이다.

- Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.
- And He said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down."
- As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
- And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you.
- "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many.

- 또 여러 번 난리가 일어나고 전쟁 소문도 듣게 될 것이다. 그러나 정신을 차리고 당황하지 마라. 그런 일이 꼭 일어나고야 말 터이지만 그것으로 그치는 것은 아니다.
- 한 민족이 일어나 딴 민족을 치고, 한 나라가 일어나 딴 나라를 칠 것이며, 또 곳곳에서 기근과 지진이 일어날 터인데
- 이런 일들은 다만 고통의 시작일 뿐이다."
- "그 때에는 사람들이 너희를 잡아 법정에 넘겨 갖은 고통을 겪게 하고 마침내는 사형에 처하게 할 것이다. 또 너희는 나 때문에 온 세상 사람들에게 미움을 받을 것이다.
- 그리고 많은 사람이 떨어져 나가 서로 배반하고 서로 미워할 것이며

- "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
- "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.
- "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
- "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.
- "At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.

- 거짓 예언자가 여기 저기 나타나서 많은 사람들을 속일 것이다.
- 또 세상은 무법 천지가 되어 사람들의 마음속에서 따뜻한 사랑을 찾아볼 수 없게 될 것이다.
- 그러나 끝까지 참는 사람은 구원을 받을 것이다.
- 이 하늘 나라의 복음이 온 세상에 전파되어 모든 백성에게 밝히 알려질 것이다. 그리고 나서야 끝이 올 것이다."
- "그러므로 너희는 예언자 다니엘이 말한 대로 황폐의 상징인 흉측한 우상이 거룩한 곳에 선 것을 보게 될 것이다. (독자는 알아들어라.)

- "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.
- "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.
- "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.
- "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
- "Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

- 그 때에는 유다에 있는 사람들은 산으로 도망가라.
- 지붕에 있는 사람은 집 안에 있는 세간을 꺼내러 내려오지 말며
- 밭에 있는 사람은 겉옷을 가지러 집으로 돌아가지 마라.
- 이런 때에 임신한 여자들과 젖먹이가 딸린 여자들은 불행하다.
- 겨울이나 안식일에 피난 가는 일이 없도록 기도하여라.

- then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
- "Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house.
- "Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
- "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
- "But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.

- 그 때가 오면 무서운 재난을 겪을 터인데, 이런 재난은 세상 처음부터 지금까지 없었고 앞으로도 다시 없을 것이다.
- 하느님께서 그 고생의 기간을 줄여주시지 않는다면 살아 남을 사람은 하나도 없다. 그러나 뽑힌 사람들을 위하여 그 기간을 줄여주실 것이다."
- "그 때에 어떤 사람이 '자 보아라, 그리스도가 여기 있다, 저기 있다.' 하더라도 그 말을 믿지 마라.
- 거짓 그리스도와 거짓 예언자들이 나타나서 어떻게 해서라도 뽑힌 사람들마저 속이려고 큰 기적과 이상한 일들을 보여줄 것이다.
- 이것은 내가 미리 말해 두는 것이다.

- "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.
- "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
- "Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him.
- "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
- "Behold, I have told you in advance.

- 그러므로 사람들이 '그리스도가 광야에 나타났다.' 해도 나가지 말고 '그리스도가 골방에 있다.' 해도 믿지 마라.
- 동쪽에서 번개가 치면 서쪽까지 번쩍이듯이 사람의 아들도 그렇게 나타날 것이다.
- 시체가 있는 곳에는 독수리가 모여드는 법이다."

- "So if they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go out, or, 'Behold, He is in the inner rooms,' do not believe them.
- "For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
- "Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
