- 그 때에 열두 제자의 하나인 가리옷 사람 유다가 대사제들에게 가서
- "내가 당신들에게 예수를 넘겨주면 그 값으로 얼마를 주겠소?" 하자 그들은 은전 서른 닢을 내주었다.
- 그 때부터 유다는 예수를 넘겨줄 기회만 엿보고 있었다.
- 무교절 첫날에 제자들이 예수께 와서 "선생님께서 드실 과월절 음식을 어디에다 차렸으면 좋겠습니까?" 하고 물었다.
- 예수께서는 이렇게 일러주셨다. "성안에 들어가면 이러이러한 사람이 있을 터이니 그 사람더러 '우리 선생님께서 자기 때가 가까이 왔다고 하시며 제자들과 함께 댁에서 과월절을 지내시겠다고 하십니다.' 하고 말하여라."

- Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
- and said, "What are you willing to give me to betray Him to you?" And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him.
- From then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Jesus.
- Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?"
- And He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is near; I am to keep the Passover at your house with My disciples."'"

- 제자들은 예수께서 시키신 대로 과월절 준비를 하였다.
- 날이 저물었을 때에 예수께서 열두 제자와 함께 식탁에 앉아
- 같이 음식을 나누시면서 "나는 분명히 말한다. 너희 가운데 한 사람이 나를 배반할 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 이 말씀에 제자들은 몹시 걱정이 되어 저마다 "주님, 저는 아니겠지요?" 하고 물었다.
- 예수께서 대답하셨다. "지금 나와 함께 그릇에 손을 넣은 사람이 바로 나를 배반할 것이다.

- The disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.
- Now when evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.
- As they were eating, He said, "Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me."
- Being deeply grieved, they each one began to say to Him, "Surely not I, Lord?"
- And He answered, "He who dipped his hand with Me in the bowl is the one who will betray Me.

- 사람의 아들은 성서에 기록된 대로 죽음의 길로 가겠지만 사람의 아들을 배반한 그 사람은 화를 입을 것이다. 그는 차라리 세상에 태어나지 않았더라면 더 좋을 뻔했다."
- 그 때에 예수를 배반한 유다도 나서서 "선생님, 저는 아니지요?" 하고 묻자, 예수께서 "그것은 네 말이다." 하고 대답하셨다.
- 그들이 음식을 먹을 때에 예수께서 빵을 들어 축복하시고 제자들에게 나누어주시며 "받아 먹어라. 이것은 내 몸이다." 하시고
- 또 잔을 들어 감사의 기도를 올리시고 그들에게 돌리시며 "너희는 모두 이 잔을 받아 마셔라.
- 이것은 나의 피다. 죄를 용서해 주려고 많은 사람을 위하여 내가 흘리는 계약의 피다.

- "The Son of Man is to go, just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."
- And Judas, who was betraying Him, said, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" Jesus said to him, "You have said it yourself."
- While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."
- And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you;
- for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.

- 잘 들어두어라. 이제부터 나는 아버지의 나라에서 너희와 함께 새 포도주를 마실 그 날까지 결코 포도로 빚은 것을 마시지 않겠다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 그들은 찬미의 노래를 부르고 올리브 산으로 올라갔다.
- 그 때에 예수께서 제자들에게 "'내가 칼을 들어 목자를 치리니 양떼가 흩어지리라'고 기록되어 있는 대로 오늘 밤 너희는 다 나를 버릴 것이다.
- 그러나 나는 다시 살아난 후 너희보다 먼저 갈릴래아로 갈 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 그 때 베드로가 나서서 "비록 모든 사람이 주님을 버릴지라도 저는 결코 주님을 버리지 않겠습니다." 하였다.

- "But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."
- After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
- Then Jesus said to them, "You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written, 'I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK SHALL BE SCATTERED.'
- "But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee."
- But Peter said to Him, "Even though all may fall away because of You, I will never fall away."

- 그러자 예수께서 베드로에게 "내 말을 잘 들어라. 오늘 밤 닭이 울기 전에 너는 세 번이나 나를 모른다고 할 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
- 베드로가 다시 "저는 주님과 함께 죽는 한이 있더라도 결코 주님을 모른다고는 하지 않겠습니다." 하고 장담하였다. 다른 제자들도 모두 그렇게 말하였다.
- 예수께서 제자들과 함께 게쎄마니라는 곳에 가셨다. 거기에서 제자들에게 "내가 저기 가서 기도하는 동안 너희는 여기 앉아 있어라." 하시고
- 베드로와 제베대오의 두 아들만을 따로 데리고 가셨다.
- 예수께서 근심과 번민에 싸여 그들에게 "지금 내 마음이 괴로워 죽을 지경이니 너희는 여기 남아서 나와 같이 깨어 있어라." 하시고는

- Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."
- Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You." All the disciples said the same thing too.
- Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to His disciples, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
- And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be grieved and distressed.
- Then He said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me."

- 조금 더 나아가 땅에 엎드려 기도하셨다. "아버지, 아버지께서는 하시고자만 하시면 무엇이든 다 하실 수 있으시니 이 잔을 저에게서 거두어주소서. 그러나 제 뜻대로 마시고 아버지의 뜻대로 하소서."
- 기도를 마치시고 세 제자에게 돌아와 보시니 제자들은 자고 있었다. 그래서 베드로에게 "너희는 나와 함께 단 한 시간도 깨어 있을 수 없단 말이냐?
- 유혹에 빠지지 않도록 깨어 기도하여라. 마음은 간절하나 몸이 말을 듣지 않는구나!" 하시며 한탄하셨다.
- 예수께서 다시 가셔서 "아버지, 이것이 제가 마시지 않고는 치워질 수 없는 잔이라면 아버지의 뜻대로 하소서." 하고 기도하셨다.
- 그리고 제자들에게 돌아오시니 그들은 여전히 자고 있었다. 그들은 너무나 지쳐서 눈을 뜨고 있을 수가 없었던 것이다.

- And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will."
- And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?
- "Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
- He went away again a second time and prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done."
- Again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

- 하는 수 없이 제자들을 그대로 두시고 세 번째 가셔서 같은 말씀으로 기도하셨다.
- 그리고 제자들에게 돌아와 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "아직도 자고 있느냐? 자, 때가 왔다. 사람의 아들이 죄인들 손에 넘어가게 되었다.
- 일어나 가자. 나를 넘겨줄 자가 가까이 와 있다."

- And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.
- Then He came to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
- "Get up, let us be going; behold, the one who betrays Me is at hand!"
