신명기 15:1-16:22

 모세는 이스라엘 백성에게 매7년마다 돌아오는 안식년에 지킬 규례에 대해서 언급한 후, 가난한 자들을 적극적으로 구제할 것을 권면했다. 그리고 이스라엘의 3대 절기인 유월절, 칠칠절, 초막절을 지킬 것과 공정한 재판을 위해 재판장과 유사를 세울 것을 명령했다.
  
  안식년에 대한 규례(15:1-15:23)    
 
  1. 칠 년에 한 번씩 남의 빚을 삭쳐주어라.
  2. 빚은 이렇게 삭쳐주어야 한다. 누구든지 동족에게 돈을 꾸어준 사람은 그 빚을 삭쳐주어야 한다. 동족에게서 빚을 받아내려고 하면 안 된다. 빚을 삭쳐주라는 것은 야훼의 이름으로 선포된 명령이기 때문이다.
  3. 외국인에게 준 빚은 받아내려니와 동족에게 준 빚은 삭쳐주어야 한다.
  4. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 유산으로 주시어 상속받게 하신 땅에 틀림없이 복을 내려주실 것이다. 그러니 너희 가운데 가난한 사람이 없도록 하여라.
  5. 물론 너희가 너희 하느님 야훼께서 하시는 말씀을 잘 들어야만 그렇게 될 것이다. 너희는 내가 오늘 내리는 이 모든 명령을 성심껏 실천해야 한다.
  1. "At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts.
  2. "This is the manner of remission: every creditor shall release what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother, because the LORD'S remission has been proclaimed.
  3. "From a foreigner you may exact it, but your hand shall release whatever of yours is with your brother.
  4. "However, there will be no poor among you, since the LORD will surely bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance to possess,
  5. if only you listen obediently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all this commandment which I am commanding you today.
  1. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 약속하신 대로 너희에게 복을 내려주실 것이다. 그리하여 많은 민족이 너희에게 돈을 꾸겠지만, 너희가 남에게서 돈을 꾸는 일은 없을 것이다. 많은 민족이 너희의 다스림을 받겠지만, 너희가 남의 다스림을 받지는 않을 것이다.
  2. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 주시는 땅의 어느 한 성읍에 동족으로서 가난한 사람이 있거든 너희는 인색한 마음으로 돈을 움켜잡거나 그 가난한 형제를 못 본 체하지 마라.
  3. 손을 펴서 그가 필요한 만큼 넉넉하게 꾸어주어라.
  4. '빚을 삭쳐주는 해, 제칠년이 얼마 남지 않았구나.' 하며 인색한 생각이 들어 가난한 형제를 냉대하여 꾸어주지 않는 일이 없도록 마음에 다짐하여라. 그가 너희를 걸어 야훼께 부르짖으면 너희에게 죄가 돌아올 것이다.
  5. 시원스럽게 꾸어주어라. 주면서 아깝다는 생각을 하지 마라. 그리하여야 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희가 손을 대는 모든 일에 복을 내려주실 것이다.
  1. "For the LORD your God will bless you as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
  2. "If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother;
  3. but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.
  4. "Beware that there is no base thought in your heart, saying, 'The seventh year, the year of remission, is near,' and your eye is hostile toward your poor brother, and you give him nothing; then he may cry to the LORD against you, and it will be a sin in you.
  5. "You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.
  1. 그렇다고 하여 너희가 사는 땅에서 가난한 사람이 없어지지는 않을 것이다. 너희가 사는 땅에는 너희 동족으로서 억눌리고 가난한 사람이 어차피 있을 것이다. 그러므로 이렇게 너희 손을 뻗어 도와주라고 이르는 것이다.
  2. 동족인 히브리인이 남자건 여자건 너희에게 팔려 왔거든 육 년만 부리고 칠 년째 되는 해에는 자유를 주어 내보내야 한다.
  3. 자유를 주어 내보낼 때에는 빈손으로 내보내지 못한다.
  4. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 복으로 주신 양떼와 타작 마당에서 거둔 것과 술틀에서 짜낸 것을 한 밑천 되게 마련해 주어야 한다.
  5. 이집트 땅에서 종살이하던 너를 너희 하느님 야훼께서 해방시켜 주신 것을 생각하여라. 그러므로 내가 오늘 너희에게 이를 명하는 것이다.
  1. "For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.'
  2. "If your kinsman, a Hebrew man or woman, is sold to you, then he shall serve you six years, but in the seventh year you shall set him free.
  3. "When you set him free, you shall not send him away empty-handed.
  4. "You shall furnish him liberally from your flock and from your threshing floor and from your wine vat; you shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.
  5. "You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today.
  1. 그러나 만일 그 히브리인이 너희와 함께 있는 것을 좋아하여 너희와 너희 집안 식구들을 사랑하고 집에서 나가지 않겠다고 하거든,
  2. 너희는 그의 귓바퀴를 문에 대고 송곳으로 뚫어라. 그리하면 그는 영구히 너희 종이 될 것이다. 여종도 그렇게 하여라.
  3. 그에게 자유를 주어 내보내는 것을 언짢게 여기면 안 된다. 그가 육 년 동안 일한 것을 값으로 치면 품팔이꾼의 품삯 갑절이 되지 않겠느냐? 앞으로 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희가 하는 모든 일에 복을 내려주실 것이다.
  4. 소와 양의 수컷 맏배는 너희 하느님 야훼께 따로 바쳐야 한다. 맏배 황소는 부려먹을 생각을 마라. 맏배 양의 털은 깎아 가질 생각을 마라.
  5. 해마다 너희 하느님 야훼를 모시고 야훼께서 고르신 곳에서 집안 식구들과 함께 그것을 먹어라.
  1. "It shall come about if he says to you, 'I will not go out from you,' because he loves you and your household, since he fares well with you;
  2. then you shall take an awl and pierce it through his ear into the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also you shall do likewise to your maidservant.
  3. "It shall not seem hard to you when you set him free, for he has given you six years with double the service of a hired man; so the LORD your God will bless you in whatever you do.
  4. "You shall consecrate to the LORD your God all the firstborn males that are born of your herd and of your flock; you shall not work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock.
  5. "You and your household shall eat it every year before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD chooses.
  1. 그것이 무슨 흠이 있는 경우, 절거나 눈이 멀었거나 그 밖에 어떤 좋지 못한 흠이 있는 경우에는 그것을 너희 하느님 야훼께 잡아 바치지 못한다.
  2. 그런 것은 노루나 사슴을 잡아먹듯이 정한 사람과 부정한 사람이 너희가 사는 성 안에서 잡아먹어도 된다.
  3. 다만 피는 먹지 못한다. 피는 물처럼 땅에 쏟아버려야 한다.
  1. "But if it has any defect, such as lameness or blindness, or any serious defect, you shall not sacrifice it to the LORD your God.
  2. "You shall eat it within your gates; the unclean and the clean alike may eat it, as a gazelle or a deer.
  3. "Only you shall not eat its blood; you are to pour it out on the ground like water.
 
  이스라엘의 절기(16:1-16:22)    
 
  1. 너희는 아빕월을 지켜 너희 하느님 야훼께 과월절 제사를 드려야 한다. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희를 이집트에서 건져내신 것이 바로 이 아빕월 어느 날 밤이었다.
  2. 너희는 야훼께서 당신의 이름을 두시려고 고르신 곳에서 양과 소를 잡아 너희 하느님 야훼께 과월절 제물로 바쳐야 한다.
  3. 이 제물과 함께 누룩이 든 떡을 먹으면 안 된다. 그 후 이레 동안도 누룩이 들지 않은 쓴 떡을 먹어야 한다. 너희는 이집트 땅에서 쫓기듯이 나왔는데, 그렇게 하여 이집트 땅에서 나올 때의 일을 평생 기억하게 될 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 이레 동안 네 지경 안 어디에서도 누룩이 보여서는 안 된다. 첫날 저녁에 잡은 제물 고기를 이튿날 아침까지 묵히면 안 된다.
  5. 과월절 제물은 너희 하느님 야훼께서 주신 성읍이라고 해서 아무데서나 잡는 것이 아니다.
  1. "Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God, for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you out of Egypt by night.
  2. "You shall sacrifice the Passover to the LORD your God from the flock and the herd, in the place where the LORD chooses to establish His name.
  3. "You shall not eat leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat with it unleavened bread, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), so that you may remember all the days of your life the day when you came out of the land of Egypt.
  4. "For seven days no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory, and none of the flesh which you sacrifice on the evening of the first day shall remain overnight until morning.
  5. "You are not allowed to sacrifice the Passover in any of your towns which the LORD your God is giving you;
  1. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 당신의 이름을 두시려고 고르신 그 곳 밖에서는 아무데서도 잡을 수 없다. 거기에서 과월절 제물을 잡는데 그 잡는 시간은 너희가 이집트를 떠나던 바로 그 시간, 즉 초저녁 해 질 무렵이다.
  2. 너희는 너희 하느님 야훼께서 고르신 곳에서 그것을 삶아 먹고 아침이 되면 길을 떠나 각자 자기 천막으로 돌아가야 한다.
  3. 그리고 엿새 동안 누룩이 들지 않은 떡을 먹다가 이렛날은 너희 하느님 야훼께 올리는 축제 마감날이므로 모든 생업에서 손을 떼어야 한다.
  4. 그로부터 칠 주간을 세어라. 밭에 서 있는 곡식에 처음 낫을 대던 그 때로부터 시작하여 칠 주간이 지나거든
  5. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희에게 복을 내려주신 만큼 마음에서 우러나는 대로 예물을 바치며 너희 하느님 야훼께 추수절 축제를 올려라.
  1. but at the place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His name, you shall sacrifice the Passover in the evening at sunset, at the time that you came out of Egypt.
  2. "You shall cook and eat it in the place which the LORD your God chooses. In the morning you are to return to your tents.
  3. "Six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God; you shall do no work on it.
  4. "You shall count seven weeks for yourself; you shall begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.
  5. "Then you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God with a tribute of a freewill offering of your hand, which you shall give just as the LORD your God blesses you;
  1. 그리고 너희 하느님 야훼를 모시고 그 앞에서 즐겨라. 너희는 아들과 딸뿐 아니라 남종과 여종, 또 너희와 한 성문 안에서 사는 레위인과 너희 가운데 있는 떠돌이, 고아, 과부까지도 데리고 너희 하느님 야훼께서 당신의 이름을 두시려고 고르신 곳에서 함께 즐겨라.
  2. 너희는 이집트에서 종노릇한 일을 잊지 말고 이 모든 규정을 성심껏 실천해야 한다.
  3. 너희는 타작 마당과 포도즙을 짜는 술틀에서 소출을 거두어들일 때 이레 동안 초막절 축제를 올려라.
  4. 너희는 이 축제를 올리면서 아들과 딸, 남종과 여종, 너희가 사는 성문 안에 있는 레위인, 떠돌이, 고아, 과부들도 함께 즐기게 해야 한다.
  5. 너희는 이레 동안 야훼께서 고르신 곳에서 너희 하느님 야훼께 축제를 올려야 한다. 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희 손으로 일하여 거두는 소출에 복을 내려주시는데 어찌하여 즐기지 않겠느냐!
  1. and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female servants and the Levite who is in your town, and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are in your midst, in the place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His name.
  2. "You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.
  3. "You shall celebrate the Feast of Booths seven days after you have gathered in from your threshing floor and your wine vat;
  4. and you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female servants and the Levite and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are in your towns.
  5. "Seven days you shall celebrate a feast to the LORD your God in the place which the LORD chooses, because the LORD your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.
  1. 너희 가운데 남자는 누구든지 일 년에 세 번, 과월절과 추수절과 초막절에 너희 하느님 야훼께서 고르신 곳에 와서 그분의 얼굴을 뵈어야 한다. 그러나 아무도 빈손으로 야훼의 얼굴을 뵈러오면 안 된다.
  2. 모두들 너희 하느님 야훼께 복받은 만큼 예물을 들고 와야 한다.
  3. 너희는 너희 하느님 야훼께서 너희 각 지파에게 주시는 성읍마다 재판관과 관리를 세워 백성을 공평무사하게 다스리도록 해야 한다.
  4. 법을 왜곡시키면 안 된다. 체면을 보아도 안 된다. 뇌물을 받아도 안 된다. 뇌물은 지혜로운 사람의 눈을 멀게 하고 죄없는 사람의 소송을 뒤엎어버린다.
  5. 정의, 그렇다, 너희는 마땅히 정의만을 찾아라. 그리하여야 너희는 살아서 너희 하느님 야훼께서 주시는 땅을 차지할 것이다.
  1. "Three times in a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of Weeks and at the Feast of Booths, and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.
  2. "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.
  3. "You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the LORD your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.
  4. "You shall not distort justice; you shall not be partial, and you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
  5. "Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
  1. 너희가 쌓은 너희 하느님 야훼의 제단 옆에 무슨 나무로든지 아세라 목상을 만들어 세우지 못한다.
  2. 또 너희는 석상도 세우지 못한다. 이것은 너희 하느님 야훼께서 싫어하시는 짓이다.
  1. "You shall not plant for yourself an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of the LORD your God, which you shall make for yourself.
  2. "You shall not set up for yourself a sacred pillar which the LORD your God hates.
