- 너희는 동족의 소나 양이 길을 잃고 헤매는 것을 보고 모른 체해서는 안 된다. 반드시 그 동족을 찾아 그에게 끌어다 주어야 한다.
- 그 동족이 가까이 있지 않다든가 누구인지 모르겠거든 네 집에 끌어다 두었다가 그가 나타나 찾을 때 돌려주어라.
- 나귀도 그렇게 하고 옷도 그렇게 하고, 그 밖에 무엇이든지 네 동족이 잃은 것을 보거든 찾아주어야 한다. 모른 체하면 안 된다.
- 너희는 동족의 나귀나 소가 쓰러져 있는 것을 보고 모른 체해도 안 된다. 반드시 동족을 도와 거들어 일으켜주어야 한다.
- 여자는 남자의 옷을 입지 말고 남자는 여자의 옷을 입지 마라. 이런 짓을 하는 자는 모두 너희 하느님 야훼께서 역겨워하신다.

- "You shall not see your countryman's ox or his sheep straying away, and pay no attention to them; you shall certainly bring them back to your countryman.
- "If your countryman is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall remain with you until your countryman looks for it; then you shall restore it to him.
- "Thus you shall do with his donkey, and you shall do the same with his garment, and you shall do likewise with anything lost by your countryman, which he has lost and you have found. You are not allowed to neglect them.
- "You shall not see your countryman's donkey or his ox fallen down on the way, and pay no attention to them; you shall certainly help him to raise them up.
- "A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.

- 길을 가다가 나무 위나 땅바닥에서 새끼나 알이 들어 있는 새집을 보았을 때 어미가 새끼나 알을 품고 있거든 어미째 새끼를 잡지 마라.
- 어미를 날려 보내고 나서 새끼를 잡을 수는 있다. 그래야 너희가 잘되고 오래 살 것이다.
- 집을 새로 짓거든 옥상에 난간을 둘러라. 그러지 않았다가 사람이 떨어지면 너희 집이 그 피 값을 치러야 할 것이다.
- 너희는 포도원에 다른 씨를 뿌리지 마라. 씨를 뿌려 거둔 곡식과 포도 소출이 모조리 손도 댈 수 없게 되리라.
- 소와 나귀를 한 멍에에 메워 밭을 갈지 마라.

- "If you happen to come upon a bird's nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young;
- you shall certainly let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, in order that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.
- "When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, so that you will not bring bloodguilt on your house if anyone falls from it.
- "You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or all the produce of the seed which you have sown and the increase of the vineyard will become defiled.
- "You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.

- 털실과 모시를 섞어 짠 옷을 입지 마라.
- 네가 걸치는 옷자락 네 귀퉁이에는 술을 만들어 붙여야 한다.
- 누가 아내를 맞아 한자리에 들고는 싫어져서
- '이 여자를 아내로 맞아 가까이하고 보니 처녀가 아니다.' 하고 누명을 씌워 고발했을 경우에
- 그 여자의 부모는 그 여자가 처녀였다는 증거를 가지고 성문께로 나가 그 성읍의 장로들에게 제시해야 한다.

- "You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together.
- "You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.
- "If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then turns against her,
- and charges her with shameful deeds and publicly defames her, and says, 'I took this woman, but when I came near her, I did not find her a virgin,'
- then the girl's father and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of the girl's virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.

- 그리고 그 여자의 아버지는 장로들에게 진술하여라. '나는 나의 딸을 이 사람에게 아내로 주었는데, 이 사람은 내 딸이 싫어졌다고 하여
- 이렇게 고발했습니다. 내 딸이 처녀가 아니었다는 것입니다. 여기에 내 딸이 처녀였다는 증거가 있습니다.' 이렇게 말하고 딸의 자리옷을 그 성읍의 장로들 앞에 펴보여라.
- 그러면 성읍의 장로들은 그를 잡아 때리고
- 이스라엘의 처녀에게 누명을 씌운 대가로 벌금 백 세겔을 여자의 아버지에게 물어주게 하여라. 그는 그 여자를 내보내지 못하고 평생 데리고 살아야 한다.
- 그런데 그 고발이 사실이어서 그 여자가 처녀였다는 것이 입증되지 않으면,

- "The girl's father shall say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter to this man for a wife, but he turned against her;
- and behold, he has charged her with shameful deeds, saying, "I did not find your daughter a virgin." But this is the evidence of my daughter's virginity.' And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.
- "So the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him,
- and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give it to the girl's father, because he publicly defamed a virgin of Israel. And she shall remain his wife; he cannot divorce her all his days.
- "But if this charge is true, that the girl was not found a virgin,

- 그 여자를 아비의 집 문 앞에 끌어다 놓고 친정이 있는 성읍의 시민들이 돌로 쳐죽일 것이다. 그는 제 아비의 집에 있을 때 몸을 더럽혀 이스라엘에서는 생각할 수도 없는 짓을 저지른 것이다. 이런 부정한 짓을 너희 가운데서 송두리째 뿌리뽑아야 한다.
- 어떤 자가 남의 아내와 한자리에 들었다가 붙잡혔을 경우에는 같이 자던 그 남자와 여자를 함께 죽여야 한다. 이런 부정한 짓을 이스라엘에서 송두리째 뿌리뽑아야 한다.
- 약혼한 남자가 있는 처녀를 다른 사람이 성읍 안에서 만나 같이 잤을 경우에는
- 둘 다 그 성읍 성문 있는 데로 끌어내다가 돌로 쳐죽여야 한다. 그 처녀는 성읍 안에서 당하면서도 소리를 지르지 않았기 때문에 죽일 것이요, 남자는 이웃의 아내를 범했기 때문에 죽일 것이다. 이런 부정한 짓을 너희 가운데서 송두리째 뿌리뽑아야 한다.
- 약혼한 남자가 있는 처녀를 다른 남자가 들에서 만나 겁탈했을 경우에는 그 여자를 겁탈한 남자만 죽여야 한다.

- then they shall bring out the girl to the doorway of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death because she has committed an act of folly in Israel by playing the harlot in her father's house; thus you shall purge the evil from among you.
- "If a man is found lying with a married woman, then both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.
- "If there is a girl who is a virgin engaged to a man, and another man finds her in the city and lies with her,
- then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city and you shall stone them to death; the girl, because she did not cry out in the city, and the man, because he has violated his neighbor's wife. Thus you shall purge the evil from among you.
- "But if in the field the man finds the girl who is engaged, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lies with her shall die.

- 그 처녀는 죽을 죄를 지은 것이 아니므로 손댈 것까지는 없다. 이것은 이웃에게 맞아죽은 것과 꼭 같은 경우이다.
- 그 일을 당한 곳이 들이므로 약혼한 그 처녀가 소리를 질러도 와서 건져줄 사람이 없었기 때문이다.
- 한 남자가 약혼하지 않은 처녀를 만나 억지로 함께 자다가 붙잡힌 경우에는
- 그 처녀와 잔 남자가 처녀의 아비에게 오십 세겔을 물어야 한다. 그리고 그 몸을 버려놓았으므로 내보내지 못하고 평생 데리고 살아야 한다.

- "But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case.
- "When he found her in the field, the engaged girl cried out, but there was no one to save her.
- "If a man finds a girl who is a virgin, who is not engaged, and seizes her and lies with her and they are discovered,
- then the man who lay with her shall give to the girl's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife because he has violated her; he cannot divorce her all his days.
- "A man shall not take his father's wife so that he will not uncover his father's skirt.
