요한복음 21:1-21:25

 예수님은 디베랴 바닷가에서 고기 잡고 있던 제자들에게 나타나셔서 이적을 행하셨다. 또한 자신을 부인했던 베드로에게 사랑을 확인하신 후 주님의 양을 먹이라는 사명을 부여하셨다.
  
  디베랴 바닷가에 나타나신 예수님(21:1-21:14)    
 
  1. 그 뒤 예수께서 티베리아 호숫가에서 제자들에게 다시 나타나셨는데 그 경위는 이러하다.
  2. 시몬 베드로와 쌍둥이라는 토마와 갈릴래아 가나 사람 나타나엘과 제베대오의 아들들과 그 밖의 두 제자가 한자리에 모여 있었다.
  3. 그 때 시몬 베드로가 "나는 고기를 잡으러 가겠소." 하자 나머지 사람들도 같이 가겠다고 따라나섰다. 그들은 배를 타고 고기잡이를 나갔으나 그 날 밤에는 아무것도 잡지 못하였다.
  4. 이튿날 날이 밝아올 때 예수께서 호숫가에 서 계셨다. 그러나 제자들은 그분이 예수이신 줄을 미처 몰랐다.
  5. 예수께서 "얘들아, 무얼 좀 잡았느냐?" 하고 물으시자 그들은 "아무것도 못 잡았습니다." 하고 대답하였다.
  1. After these things Jesus manifested Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He manifested Himself in this way.
  2. Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.
  3. Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We will also come with you." They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.
  4. But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
  5. So Jesus said to them, "Children, you do not have any fish, do you?" They answered Him, "No."
  1. "그물을 배 오른편에 던져보아라. 그러면 고기가 잡힐 것이다." 그들이 예수께서 이르시는 대로 그물을 던졌더니 그물을 끌어올릴 수 없을 만큼 고기가 많이 걸려들었다.
  2. 예수의 사랑을 받던 제자가 베드로에게 "저분은 주님이십니다." 하고 말하였다. 주님이시라는 말을 듣자 옷을 벗고 있던 시몬 베드로는 몸에 겉옷을 두르고 그냥 물 속에 뛰어들었다.
  3. 나머지 제자들은 고기가 잔뜩 걸려든 그물을 끌며 배를 저어 육지로 나왔다. 그들이 들어갔던 곳은 육지에서 백 미터쯤밖에 떨어지지 않은 곳이었다.
  4. 그들이 육지에 올라와 보니 숯불이 있고 그 위에 생선이 놓여 있었다. 그리고 빵도 있었다.
  5. 예수께서 제자들에게 "방금 잡은 고기를 몇 마리 가져오너라." 하고 말씀하셨다.
  1. And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch." So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.
  2. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.
  3. But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish.
  4. So when they got out on the land, they saw a charcoal fire already laid and fish placed on it, and bread.
  5. Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have now caught."
  1. 시몬 베드로는 배에 가서 그물을 육지로 끌어올렸다. 그물 속에는 백쉰세 마리나 되는 큰 고기가 가득히 들어 있었다. 그렇게 많은 고기가 들어 있었는데도 그물은 터지지 않았다.
  2. 예수께서 그들에게 "와서 아침을 들어라." 하고 말씀하셨다. 제자들 중에는 감히 "당신은 누구십니까?" 하고 묻는 사람이 없었다. 그분이 바로 주님이시라는 것이 분명하였기 때문이다.
  3. 예수께서는 제자들에게 가까이 오셔서 빵을 집어주시고 또 생선도 집어주셨다.
  4. 예수께서 부활하신 뒤 제자들에게 나타나신 것은 이것이 세 번째였다.
  1. Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn.
  2. Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples ventured to question Him, "Who are You?" knowing that it was the Lord.
  3. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish likewise.
  4. This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.
 
  베드로에게 주신 사명(21:15-21:25)    
 
  1. 모두들 조반을 끝내자 예수께서 시몬 베드로에게 "요한의 아들 시몬아, 네가 이 사람들이 나를 사랑하는 것보다 더 나를 사랑하느냐?" 하고 물으셨다. 베드로가 "예, 주님. 아시는 바와 같이 저는 주님을 사랑합니다." 하고 대답하자 예수께서는 "내 어린 양들을 잘 돌보아라." 하고 이르셨다.
  2. 예수께서 두 번째 "요한의 아들 시몬아, 네가 나를 정말 사랑하느냐?" 하고 물으셨다. "예, 주님. 아시는 바와 같이 저는 주님을 사랑합니다." 베드로가 이렇게 대답하자 예수께서는 "내 양들을 잘 돌보아라." 하고 이르셨다.
  3. 예수께서 세 번째로 "요한의 아들 시몬아, 네가 나를 사랑하느냐?" 하고 물으시자 베드로는 세 번이나 예수께서 "나를 사랑하느냐?" 하고 물으시는 바람에 마음이 슬퍼졌다. 그러나 "주님, 주님께서는 모든 일을 다 알고 계십니다. 그러니 제가 주님을 사랑한다는 것을 모르실 리가 없습니다." 하고 말하였다. 그러자 예수께서 "내 양들을 잘 돌보아라." 하고 분부하셨다.
  4. 이어서 "정말 잘 들어두어라. 네가 젊었을 때에는 제 손으로 띠를 띠고 마음대로 돌아다닐 수 있었다. 그러나 이제 나이를 먹으면 그 때는 팔을 벌리고 남이 와서 허리를 묶어 네가 원하지 않는 곳으로 끌고 갈 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.
  5. 예수의 이 말씀은 베드로가 장차 어떻게 죽어서 하느님의 영광을 드러내게 될 것인가를 암시하신 말씀이었다. 이 말씀을 하신 뒤 예수께서는 베드로에게 "나를 따라라." 하고 말씀하셨다.
  1. So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You " He said to him, "Tend My lambs."
  2. He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Shepherd My sheep."
  3. He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You " Jesus said to him, "Tend My sheep.
  4. "Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go."
  5. Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me!"
  1. 베드로가 돌아다보았더니 예수의 사랑을 받던 제자가 뒤따라오고 있었다. 그 제자는 만찬 때에 예수의 옆 자리에 앉아 있다가 "주님, 주님을 팔아 넘길 자가 누굽니까?" 하고 묻던 제자였다.
  2. 그 제자를 본 베드로가 "주님, 저 사람은 어떻게 되겠습니까?" 하고 예수께 물었다.
  3. 예수께서는 "내가 돌아올 때까지 그가 살아 있기를 내가 바란다고 한들 그것이 너와 무슨 상관이 있느냐? 너는 나를 따라라." 하고 말씀하셨다.
  4. 그래서 예수를 믿는 사람들 사이에서는 그 제자는 죽지 않으리라는 소문이 퍼졌다. 그러나 예수께서는 그가 죽지 않으리라고 하지는 않으셨고 다만 "설사 내가 돌아올 때까지 그가 살아 있기를 내가 바란다고 한들 그것이 너와 무슨 상관이 있느냐?"고 말씀하신 것뿐이다.
  5. 그 제자는 이 일들을 증언하고 또 글로 기록한 사람이다. 우리는 그의 증언이 참되다는 것을 알고 있다.
  1. Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"
  2. So Peter seeing him said to Jesus, "Lord, and what about this man?"
  3. Jesus said to him, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!"
  4. Therefore this saying went out among the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?"
  5. This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.
  1. 예수께서는 이 밖에도 여러 가지 일을 하셨다. 그 하신 일들을 낱낱이 다 기록하자면 기록된 책은 이 세상을 가득히 채우고도 남을 것이라고 생각된다.
  1. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.
