사도행전 13:44-14:7

 복음을 영접하는 사람들이 늘어가자, 유대인들은 자신들의 권위와 지지 기반이 약화될 것을 우려해 바울과 바나바를 핍박하고 비시디아 안디옥에서 쫓아냈다. 이고니온으로 온 바울과 바나바는 그 곳에서도 복음을 전했으나, 역시 유대인들의 극심한 박해로 루스드라로 가게 되었다.
  
  유대인들의 박해(13:44-13:52)    
 
  1. 그 다음 안식일에는 온 동네 사람이 거의 다 주님의 말씀을 들으려고 모여들었다.
  2. 그 군중을 본 유다인들은 시기심이 북받쳐서 바울로가 한 말을 반대하며 욕설을 퍼부었다.
  3. 그러나 바울로와 바르나바는 담대하게 이렇게 대꾸하였다. "우리는 하느님의 말씀을 먼저 당신들에게 전하지 않을 수가 없었습니다. 그런데도 당신들은 그것을 거부하고 그 영원한 생명을 받을 만한 자격이 없다고 스스로 판단하고 있으니 우리는 당신들을 떠나서 이방인들에게로 갑니다.
  4. 주께서 우리에게, '나는 너를 이방인의 빛으로 삼았으니 너는 땅 끝까지 구원의 등불이 되어라.' 하고 명령하셨습니다."
  5. 바울로의 말을 듣고 이방인들은 기뻐하며 주님의 말씀을 찬양하였으며 영원한 생명을 얻도록 작정된 사람들은 모두 신도가 되었다.
  1. The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord.
  2. But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming.
  3. Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
  4. "For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.'"
  5. When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.
  1. 이리하여 주님의 말씀이 그 지방에 두루 퍼져 나갔다.
  2. 그러나 유다인들은 이방 출신으로서 하느님을 공경하는 귀부인들과 도시의 유지들을 선동하여 바울로와 바르나바를 박해하게 하고 그 지방에서 두 사람을 쫓아냈다.
  3. 두 사도는 그들에게 항의하는 뜻으로 발의 먼지를 털어버리고 이고니온으로 갔다.
  4. 안티오키아의 신도들은 기쁨과 성령으로 가득 차 있었다.
  1. And the word of the Lord was being spread through the whole region.
  2. But the Jews incited the devout women of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district.
  3. But they shook off the dust of their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.
  4. And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
 
  이고니온에서 루스드라까지(14:1-14:7)    
 
  1. 바울로와 바르나바는 안티오키아에서처럼 이고니온에서도 유다인의 회당에 들어가 설교했다. 이 설교를 듣고 수많은 유다인들과 이방인들이 신도가 되었다.
  2. 예수를 믿으려 하지 않는 유다인들은 이방인들을 선동하여 믿는 형제들에게 악의를 품게 하였다.
  3. 그러나 주께서는 그들에게 기적과 놀라운 일들을 행하게 하셔서 하느님의 은총에 관하여 그들이 전하는 말이 참되다는 것을 증명해 주셨다. 그래서 바울로와 바르나바는 오랫동안 거기에 머무르면서 주님께 힘입어 대담하게 말씀을 전하였다.
  4. 그 도시 사람들은 두 갈래로 나뉘어서 한 쪽은 유다인들을 지지하고 다른 쪽은 사도들을 지지하였다.
  5. 그러나 이방인들과 유다인들은 그들의 지도자들과 한데 어울려 사도들을 학대하고 돌로 쳐죽이려는 움직임을 보였다.
  1. In Iconium they entered the synagogue of the Jews together, and spoke in such a manner that a large number of people believed, both of Jews and of Greeks.
  2. But the Jews who disbelieved stirred up the minds of the Gentiles and embittered them against the brethren.
  3. Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.
  4. But the people of the city were divided; and some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.
  5. And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and the Jews with their rulers, to mistreat and to stone them,
  1. 사도들은 이 낌새를 알아채고 리가오니아 지방에 있는 도시 리스트라와 데르베와 그 근방으로 피해 가서
  2. 복음을 전하였다.
  1. they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region;
  2. and there they continued to preach the gospel.
 
  능욕(凌辱, 14:5)  무례히 모욕함
