역대상 11:1-12:15

 사울에 이어 왕위에 오른 다윗은 예루살렘을 탈환하고 점점 강성하여져 갔다. 다윗의 30인 용사들의 명단과 사울이 죽기 전 다윗을 따르던 용사들의 명단이 소개되어 있다.
  
  다윗의 즉위와 예루살렘 탈환(11:1-11:9)    
 
  1. 온 이스라엘이 헤브론에 있는 다윗을 찾아와서 청하였다. "우리는 임금님과 한 골육입니다.
  2. 전에 사울이 우리의 왕이었을 때도, 이스라엘을 거느리고 출전하신 이는 임금님이시었습니다. 임금님을 뽑아 세우신 하느님 야훼께서, 임금님께 당신의 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 되라고 분부하시지 않으셨습니까? 당신의 백성 이스라엘의 영도자가 되라고 하시지 않으셨습니까?"
  3. 이스라엘 장로들이 모두 헤브론으로 와서 왕 앞에 나섰다. 다윗은 헤브론에서 야훼를 모시고 그들과 계약을 맺었다. 비로소 이스라엘은, 야훼께서 사무엘을 시켜 말씀하신 대로, 다윗에게 기름을 부어 그를 왕으로 모시게 되었다.
  4. 다윗은 온 이스라엘 군을 거느리고 여부스라고도 불리는 예루살렘으로 갔다.
  5. 여부스 주민들은 "네가 이리로 쳐들어오려느냐? 어림도 없다." 하고 조롱했지만, 다윗은 기어이 그 견고한 성 시온을 점령하고 말았다. 그리하여 예루살렘은 다윗의 도성이 되었다.
  1. Then all Israel gathered to David at Hebron and said, "Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
  2. "In times past, even when Saul was king, you were the one who led out and brought in Israel; and the LORD your God said to you, 'You shall shepherd My people Israel, and you shall be prince over My people Israel.'"
  3. So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD through Samuel.
  4. Then David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (that is, Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.
  5. The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, "You shall not enter here." Nevertheless David captured the stronghold of Zion (that is, the city of David).
  1. 다윗이 "누구든지 여부스인을 먼저 쳐죽이는 사람을 총사령관으로 삼겠다." 하자, 스루야의 아들 요압이 제일 먼저 쳐 올라가 총사령관이 되었다.
  2. 다윗은 그 견고한 성에 자리를 잡았다. 그래서 그 성을 다윗의 도성이라고 부르게 되었다.
  3. 다윗은 밀로에서 시작하여 한 바퀴 돌아가면서 성을 쌓았고 나머지 부분은 요압이 쌓았다.
  4. 만군의 야훼께서 다윗과 함께 하셨으므로 그의 세력은 날로 커졌다.
  1. Now David had said, "Whoever strikes down a Jebusite first shall be chief and commander." Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, so he became chief.
  2. Then David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore it was called the city of David.
  3. He built the city all around, from the Millo even to the surrounding area; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
  4. David became greater and greater, for the LORD of hosts was with him.
 
  다윗의 용사들(11:10-12:15)    
 
  1. 야훼께서 이스라엘 백성에게 하신 말씀을 따라 다윗이 나라를 세울 때, 온 이스라엘과 함께 그를 왕으로 모시는 데 공을 세운 장군들은 다음과 같다.
  2. 다윗의 부하 용사들의 명단. 야소브암. 그는 하그모니의 아들로서 삼용사의 우두머리이다. 그가 한 번 창을 휘두르면 삼백 명이 쓰러졌다.
  3. 버금으로, 엘르아잘. 아호 사람 도도의 아들로서 역시 삼용사 가운데 하나이다.
  4. 그는 불레셋 군이 바스담밈에 집결하여 싸움을 걸어왔을 때 다윗과 함께 있었다. 밭에 보리가 무르익었을 때였다. 이스라엘 군이 모두 무서워 도망치는데도,
  5. 엘르아잘은 혼자 밭 한복판에 버티고 서서 불레셋 군과 싸워 곡식을 고스란히 건졌다. 야훼의 승리였다.
  1. Now these are the heads of the mighty men whom David had, who gave him strong support in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
  2. These constitute the list of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the thirty; he lifted up his spear against three hundred whom he killed at one time.
  3. After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.
  4. He was with David at Pasdammim when the Philistines were gathered together there to battle, and there was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled before the Philistines.
  5. They took their stand in the midst of the plot and defended it, and struck down the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great victory.
  1. 삼십인부대 가운데 세 용사가 바위 꼭대기에 있는 동굴로 다윗을 찾아간 일이 있었다. 그 때 불레셋 군은 르바임 골짜기에 진을 치고 있었다.
  2. 다윗은 산채에 있었고 불레셋 주둔군은 베들레헴에 있었다.
  3. 다윗이 목이 타서 "누가 베들레헴 성문께 있는 우물물을 길어다 주었으면." 하고 중얼거리자,
  4. 그 세 사람이 불레셋 진을 뚫고 들어가 베들레헴 성문께 있는 우물물을 길어다 다윗에게 바쳤다. 그러나 다윗은 차마 그 물을 마실 수가 없어 그것을 야훼께 부어드리고는,
  5. "이것을 마시다니, 천벌받을 일이다. 목숨을 걸고 길어온 이 물은 이 세 사람의 피와 다름없는데, 내가 어찌 이 물을 마시랴?" 하며 끝내 그 물을 마시지 않았다. 그 셋은 이런 일을 해낸 용사들이다.
  1. Now three of the thirty chief men went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam, while the army of the Philistines was camping in the valley of Rephaim.
  2. David was then in the stronghold, while the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
  3. David had a craving and said, "Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!"
  4. So the three broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water from the well of Bethlehem which was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David; nevertheless David would not drink it, but poured it out to the LORD;
  5. and he said, "Be it far from me before my God that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of these men who went at the risk of their lives? For at the risk of their lives they brought it." Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did.
  1. 아비새. 그는 요압의 아우로서 삼십인부대 수령이다. 그는 한 번 창을 휘둘러 삼백 명이나 쓰러뜨림으로써 삼십인부대에 낄 만큼 유명해졌다.
  2. 그는 삼십인부대 가운데서는 누구보다도 뛰어나 그들의 수령이 되었으나 삼용사 축에는 들지 못하였다.
  3. 브나야. 그는 캅스엘 출신으로 여호야다의 아들이다. 그는 많은 공을 세운 장사였다. 그는 모압 장사 두 사람을 쳐죽였고, 눈 오는 날 구렁에 빠진 사자를 그 구렁에 들어가 죽인 일이 있다.
  4. 그는 또 키가 구 척이나 되는 이집트인을 쳐죽인 일도 있다. 그 이집트인은 창대가 베틀의 용두머리만큼 굵은 창을 들고 있었는데, 브나야는 몽치 하나를 들고 내려가서 그 이집트인의 손에서 창을 빼앗아가지고 그를 찔러 죽였다.
  5. 여호야다의 아들 브나야도 이런 일로 해서 삼십인부대에 낄 만큼 유명해졌다.
  1. As for Abshai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the thirty, and he swung his spear against three hundred and killed them; and he had a name as well as the thirty.
  2. Of the three in the second rank he was the most honored and became their commander; however, he did not attain to the first three.
  3. Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, mighty in deeds, struck down the two sons of Ariel of Moab. He also went down and killed a lion inside a pit on a snowy day.
  4. He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature five cubits tall. Now in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam, but he went down to him with a club and snatched the spear from the Egyptian's hand and killed him with his own spear.
  5. These things Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did, and had a name as well as the three mighty men.
  1. 그는 삼십인부대 가운데서 이름을 떨쳤으나 삼용사 축에는 들지 못하였다. 다윗은 그를 자기의 호위대장으로 삼았다.
  2. 장사들의 명단은 다음과 같다. 요압의 아우 아사헬, 베들레헴 출신 도도의 아들 엘하난,
  3. 하롯 출신 삼못, 블론 출신 헬레스,
  4. 드고아 출신 익케스의 아들 이라, 아나돗 출신 아비에젤,
  5. 후사 출신 십개, 아호 사람 일래,
  1. Behold, he was honored among the thirty, but he did not attain to the three; and David appointed him over his guard.
  2. Now the mighty men of the armies were Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
  3. Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
  4. Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,
  5. Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
  1. 느토바 사람 마하래, 느토바 사람 바아나의 아들 헬렛,
  2. 베냐민 지방 기브아 출신 리배의 아들 이대, 비라돈 사람 브나야,
  3. 가스 계곡 출신 후래, 아라바 사람 아비엘,
  4. 바후림 사람 아즈마?, 살본 사람 엘랴흐바,
  5. 기존 사람 하셈, 하랄 사람 사게의 아들 요나단,
  1. Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
  2. Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the sons of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
  3. Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
  4. Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,
  5. the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shagee the Hararite,
  1. 하랄 사람 사갈의 아들 아히암, 우르의 아들 엘리발,
  2. 므게라 사람 헤벨, 블론 사람 아히야,
  3. 가르멜 사람 헤스로, 에즈배의 아들 나아래,
  4. 나단의 아우 요엘, 하그리의 아들 미브할,
  5. 암몬 사람 셀렉, 스루야의 아들 요압의 무기 당번인 브에롯 사람 나하래,
  1. Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
  2. Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,
  3. Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,
  4. Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri,
  5. Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
  1. 야띨 사람 이라, 야띨 사람 가렙,
  2. 헷 사람 우리야, 아흘래의 아들 자밧,
  3. 르우벤 지파의 수령으로서 삼십인부대를 거느리던 르우벤 사람 시자의 아들 아디나,
  4. 마아가의 아들 하난, 메덴 사람 요사밧,
  5. 아스다롯 사람 우찌야, 아로엘 사람 호담의 아들 사마와 여이엘,
  1. Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
  2. Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,
  3. Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,
  4. Hanan the son of Maacah and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
  5. Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,
  1. 디스 사람 시므리의 아들 여디아엘과 아우 요하,
  2. 마핫 사람 엘리엘, 엘나암의 아들 예리배와 요사야, 모압 사람 이드마,
  3. 소바 출신 엘리엘, 오벳, 야시엘.
  1. Jediael the son of Shimri and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
  2. Eliel the Mahavite and Jeribai and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
  3. Eliel and Obed and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
 
 
  1. 다윗이 키스의 아들 사울을 피해 시글락에 가 있을 때에 그를 찾아가 도운 장사들은 다음과 같다.
  2. 그들은 좌우 양손으로 돌팔매질도 하고 활도 쏠 수 있는 궁수들로서, 사울의 일족 베냐민 지파 사람들이다.
  3. 그들의 우두머리는 기브아 사람 스마아의 아들 아히에젤이다. 그 밖에 그의 아우 요아스, 아즈마?의 아들 여지엘과 벨렛, 아나돗 사람 브라가와 예후,
  4. 삼십인부대원으로서 그 삼십인부대를 거느리던 기브온 사람 이스마야,
  5. 또 예레미야, 야하지엘, 요하난, 그데라 사람 요자밧,
  1. Now these are the ones who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still restricted because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men who helped him in war.
  2. They were equipped with bows, using both the right hand and the left to sling stones and to shoot arrows from the bow; they were Saul's kinsmen from Benjamin.
  3. The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah and Jehu the Anathothite,
  4. and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty. Then Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, Jozabad the Gederathite,
  5. Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah, Shephatiah the Haruphite,
  1. 엘루재, 여리못, 브알리야, 스마리야, 하룹 사람 스바티야,
  2. 코라 사람 엘카나, 이씨야, 아자렐, 요에젤, 야소브암,
  3. 그돌 출신 여호람의 아들 요엘라, 즈바디야가 그들이다.
  4. 가드 지파 가운데도 광야에 있는 요새로 다윗을 찾아가 그와 합세한 사람들이 있었다. 다들 힘센 장사로서 방패를 들고 창을 잘 쓰는 직업 군인들이었다. 생김새는 사자 같고 날래기는 들판을 내닫는 노루 같았다.
  5. 그들의 우두머리는 에제르, 둘째는 오바디야, 셋째는 엘리압,
  1. Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, Jashobeam, the Korahites,
  2. and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
  3. From the Gadites there came over to David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear, and whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains.
  4. Ezer was the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
  5. Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
  1. 넷째는 미스만나, 다섯째는 예레미야,
  2. 여섯째는 아때, 일곱째는 엘리엘,
  3. 여덟째는 요하난, 아홉째는 엘자밧,
  4. 열째는 예레미야, 열한째는 막반내이다.
  5. 이들은 가드 출신의 군지휘관으로서 그 중 약한 사람도 혼자서 백을 당해 내었고 힘이 센 사람은 혼자서 천을 당해 내었다.
  1. Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
  2. Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
  3. Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
  4. These of the sons of Gad were captains of the army; he who was least was equal to a hundred and the greatest to a thousand.
  5. These are the ones who crossed the Jordan in the first month when it was overflowing all its banks and they put to flight all those in the valleys, both to the east and to the west.
