역대하 33:1-34:33

 므낫세는 우상 숭배로 인해 하나님의 진노를 받아 앗수르의 침입을 당하여 바벨론으로 끌려갔다. 그러나 그는 회개 기도를 통하여 다시 예루살렘으로 돌아와 왕위를 회복하고 하나님을 섬기게 되었다. 그의 아들 아몬은 우상에게 제사하며 야웨께 범죄하여 신복의 반역으로 죽임을 당했으며, 요시야는 우상을 파괴하고 성전을 정화하는 개혁 운동에 착수하여 백성들로 하여금 하나님을 섬기게 했다.
  
  므낫세, 아몬의 통치(33:1-33:25)    
 
  1. 므나쎄는 십이 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 오십오 년간 다스렸다.
  2. 그는 야훼의 눈에 거슬리는 그릇된 정치를 폈다. 야훼께서 이스라엘 백성 면전에서 쫓아낸 민족들의 역겨운 풍속을 따라,
  3. 부왕 히즈키야가 허물어버린 산당들을 다시 세웠고 바알 제단을 쌓았으며 아세라 목상을 만들었고 하늘의 별들을 절하여 섬겼다.
  4. 그는 야훼께서 영원히 당신 것으로 삼겠다고 하신 예루살렘에 있는 야훼의 성전에도 제단들을 쌓았다.
  5. 그는 야훼의 성전 안팎 뜰 안에 하늘의 별들을 섬기는 제단들을 쌓았다.
  1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD dispossessed before the sons of Israel.
  3. For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he also erected altars for the Baals and made Asherim, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.
  4. He built altars in the house of the LORD of which the LORD had said, "My name shall be in Jerusalem forever."
  5. For he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
  1. 또 왕자들은 벤힌놈 골짜기에서 불에 살라 바칠 뿐 아니라 점쟁이와 술객과 마술사를 두었고 혼백을 불러내는 무당과 박수를 두었다. 이렇게 야훼의 눈에 거슬리는 일을 많이 하여 야훼의 속을 썩여드렸다.
  2. 또 그는 우상들을 만들어 하느님의 성전 안에 세웠다. 이 성전을 두고 야훼께서는 일찍이 다윗과 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 이렇게 말씀하셨던 것이다. "이 성전, 이스라엘 온 지파들 가운데서 선택한 이 예루살렘에 영원히 나의 이름을 둔다.
  3. 너희의 선조들에게 떼어준 땅에서 이스라엘을 다시는 몰아내지 않으리라. 그 대신 내가 모세를 시켜 지시한 모든 법, 그 규정과 법령만은 지켜야 한다."
  4. 그러나 므나쎄는 유다 백성과 예루살렘 시민을 그릇 인도하여 저희로 하여금 이스라엘 백성 앞에서 야훼께 망한 민족들보다도 더욱 악해지게 하였다.
  5. 야훼께서는 므나쎄와 그의 백성을 꾸짖으셨다. 그러나 므나쎄와 그의 백성이 그 말씀을 들으려고 하지 않자,
  1. He made his sons pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, used divination, practiced sorcery and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.
  2. Then he put the carved image of the idol which he had made in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever;
  3. and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers, if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them according to all the law, the statutes and the ordinances given through Moses."
  4. Thus Manasseh misled Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the sons of Israel.
  5. The LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention.
  1. 야훼께서는 아시리아 왕의 군대를 끌어들이셨다. 아시리아 군 장교들은 므나쎄를 갈고리로 끌어내어 놋사슬로 묶어 바빌론으로 데리고 갔다.
  2. 이렇게 곤경에 빠지자 므나쎄는 자기의 하느님 야훼께 빌었다. 선조들의 하느님 앞에 굴복하고
  3. 빌었다. 그러자 야훼께서는 마음이 움직이시어 그의 애원을 들어주시고 예루살렘으로 돌아와 다시 왕위에 앉게 해주셨다. 므나쎄는 그제야 야훼야말로 하느님이심을 알게 되었다.
  4. 이런 일이 있은 뒤에 그는 기혼 서쪽 골짜기에다가, 다윗 성 물고기문에 이르기까지 외곽성을 쌓아올렸다. 오벨 밖으로 돌아가며 성을 아주 높이 쌓아올렸고 유다의 요새화된 성마다 군대와 장군을 배치하였다.
  5. 그리고 외국의 신상들을 치워 없애버렸다. 야훼의 성전에 있던 우상을 떼어내고 야훼의 성전 언덕과 그 밖에 예루살렘에 세웠던 제단들을 허물어 성 밖에 내다 버렸으며
  1. Therefore the LORD brought the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria against them, and they captured Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze chains and took him to Babylon.
  2. When he was in distress, he entreated the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
  3. When he prayed to Him, He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem to his kingdom Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.
  4. Now after this he built the outer wall of the city of David on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance of the Fish Gate; and he encircled the Ophel with it and made it very high. Then he put army commanders in all the fortified cities of Judah.
  5. He also removed the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD, as well as all the altars which he had built on the mountain of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem, and he threw them outside the city.
  1. 야훼의 제단을 세운 다음 그 위에다 친교제물과 감사제물을 바치고 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼를 예배하라고 유다인들에게 일렀다.
  2. 그러나 백성은 저희 하느님 야훼께 바친다고 하면서도 계속 산당에서 제사를 드렸다.
  3. 므나쎄의 나머지 역사와 그의 하느님 야훼께 드린 기도와 선견자들이 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼의 이름으로 말한 내용은 이스라엘 왕조실록에 모두 기록되어 있다.
  4. 또 그가 기도를 올려 하느님의 마음이 움직이셨던 일, 하느님께 굴복하기 전에 하느님께 반역하며 어떤 못할 짓을 하였는지, 어디에 산당들을 세우고 아세라 목상 등 우상들을 세웠는지, 그 모든 일이 선견자들의 역사서에 기록되어 있다.
  5. 므나쎄는 세상을 떠나 자기 궁궐의 정원에 묻혔으며 그의 아들 아몬이 뒤를 이어 왕위에 올랐다.
  1. He set up the altar of the LORD and sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it; and he ordered Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
  2. Nevertheless the people still sacrificed in the high places, although only to the LORD their God.
  3. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh even his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are among the records of the kings of Israel.
  4. His prayer also and how God was entreated by him, and all his sin, his unfaithfulness, and the sites on which he built high places and erected the Asherim and the carved images, before he humbled himself, behold, they are written in the records of the Hozai.
  5. So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house. And Amon his son became king in his place.
  1. 아몬은 이십이 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 이 년간 다스렸다.
  2. 그는 부왕 므나쎄의 본을 따라 야훼의 눈에 거슬리는 일을 하였다. 아몬은 부왕 므나쎄가 만든 우상들 앞에 제물을 바치며 그 우상들을 섬겼다.
  3. 부왕 므나쎄는 그래도 야훼 앞에 굴복하였지만 아몬은 굴복하지 않았다. 그만큼 그는 죄가 많았다.
  4. 그는 신하들의 반란으로 자기 궁궐에서 맞아죽었다.
  5. 그러나 지방민들이 아몬 왕에게 반란을 일으킨 자들을 모두 쳐죽이고 왕자 요시야를 왕으로 모셔 대를 잇게 하였다.
  1. Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD as Manasseh his father had done, and Amon sacrificed to all the carved images which his father Manasseh had made, and he served them.
  3. Moreover, he did not humble himself before the LORD as his father Manasseh had done, but Amon multiplied guilt.
  4. Finally his servants conspired against him and put him to death in his own house.
  5. But the people of the land killed all the conspirators against King Amon, and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
 
  요시야의 통치(34:1-34:33)    
 
  1. 요시야는 팔 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 삼십일 년간 다스렸다.
  2. 그는 야훼의 눈에 들게 바른 정치를 폈다. 모든 일에 태조 다윗을 본받아 한 발짝도 어긋나지 않고 그대로 살았다.
  3. 왕위에 오른 지 팔 년 되던 해 아직 나이 어린 몸으로 그는 태조 다윗의 하느님을 찾기 시작하여 십이년에는 유다와 예루살렘에서 부정한 산당과 아세라 목상, 새긴 우상과 부어 만든 우상을 치워 없애버리기 시작하였다.
  4. 그의 앞에서 사람들은 바알의 제단들을 뜯어내고 그 위에 올려놓았던 분향단들을 부수어버렸다. 그는 아세라 목상과 새긴 우상과 부어 만든 우상들을 부수어 가루를 만들어가지고 그 우상들에게 제사 지내던 사람들의 무덤 위에 뿌렸고
  5. 사제들의 뼈를 그 제단 위에서 살랐다. 이렇게 하며 유다와 예루살렘의 부정을 벗겼다.
  1. Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem.
  2. He did right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of his father David and did not turn aside to the right or to the left.
  3. For in the eighth year of his reign while he was still a youth, he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, the carved images and the molten images.
  4. They tore down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and the incense altars that were high above them he chopped down; also the Asherim, the carved images and the molten images he broke in pieces and ground to powder and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.
  5. Then he burned the bones of the priests on their altars and purged Judah and Jerusalem.
  1. 그는 므나쎄와 에브라임과 시므온 지방을 납달리까지 두루 돌아다니며 각 성읍에서 신전들을 허물었다.
  2. 온 이스라엘 땅에서 제단을 뜯어내고 아세라 목상과 새긴 우상과 부어 만든 우상을 때려부수어 가루를 만들고 분향단을 부수어버리고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔다.
  3. 요시야가 나라와 성전을 깨끗이 하며 다스린 지 십팔 년이 되었다. 그는 아살리야의 아들 사반, 성주 마아세야, 요아하즈의 아들 의전대신 요아를 보내어 그의 하느님 야훼의 성전을 보수하게 하였다.
  4. 그 때 사람들이 하느님의 성전에 가져다 바친 헌금이 있었다. 므나쎄와 에브라임을 비롯한 모든 이스라엘 사람들과 유다와 베냐민 사람들과 예루살렘 시민이 바치는 것을 성전문을 지키는 레위인들이 모아두었던 것이다. 그들은 이 돈을 대사제 힐키야에게 전하였다.
  5. 이 돈은 야훼의 성전 공사 감독의 손을 거쳐 야훼의 성전을 수리하고 복원하는 데 지불되었다.
  1. In the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, Simeon, even as far as Naphtali, in their surrounding ruins,
  2. he also tore down the altars and beat the Asherim and the carved images into powder, and chopped down all the incense altars throughout the land of Israel. Then he returned to Jerusalem.
  3. Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah an official of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD his God.
  4. They came to Hilkiah the high priest and delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the doorkeepers, had collected from Manasseh and Ephraim, and from all the remnant of Israel, and from all Judah and Benjamin and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
  5. Then they gave it into the hands of the workmen who had the oversight of the house of the LORD, and the workmen who were working in the house of the LORD used it to restore and repair the house.
  1. 그들은 그 돈을 목수나 돌 쌓는 사람들에게 주어서 석재와 도리나 들보 재목을 사서 유다 왕들이 폐가로 만들어버린 건물들을 손질하게 하였다.

  4. 대사제 힐키야는 야훼의 성전에서 헌금을 꺼내다가 모세를 거쳐 전해진 야훼의 법전을 찾았다.
  5. 힐키야는 곧 공보대신 사반에게 야훼의 성전에서 법전 찾은 일을 고하고 그 책을 사반에게 넘겼다.
  1. They in turn gave it to the carpenters and to the builders to buy quarried stone and timber for couplings and to make beams for the houses which the kings of Judah had let go to ruin.
  2. The men did the work faithfully with foremen over them to supervise: Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites of the sons of Merari, Zechariah and Meshullam of the sons of the Kohathites, and the Levites, all who were skillful with musical instruments.
  3. They were also over the burden bearers, and supervised all the workmen from job to job; and some of the Levites were scribes and officials and gatekeepers.
  4. When they were bringing out the money which had been brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found the book of the law of the LORD given by Moses.
  5. Hilkiah responded and said to Shaphan the scribe, "I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD." And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan.
  1. 사반은 그 책을 가지고 어전에 나아가 아뢰었다. "임금님의 신하들은 맡은 일을 잘 해내고 있습니다.
  2. 야훼의 성전에 있는 돈은 있는 대로 공사 감독들과 일꾼들에게 지불해 주고 있습니다."
  3. 이렇게 아뢴 다음 공보대신 사반은 대사제 힐키야에게서 책을 한 권 받았다고 아뢰고 그 책을 어전에 읽어 올렸다.
  4. 왕은 그 법전에 있는 말을 듣고 옷을 찢으며
  5. 힐키야, 사반의 아들 아히캄, 미가의 아들 압돈, 공보대신 사반, 시종 아사이야에게 영을 내렸다.
  1. Then Shaphan brought the book to the king and reported further word to the king, saying, "Everything that was entrusted to your servants they are doing.
  2. "They have also emptied out the money which was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hands of the supervisors and the workmen."
  3. Moreover, Shaphan the scribe told the king saying, "Hilkiah the priest gave me a book." And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king.
  4. When the king heard the words of the law, he tore his clothes.
  5. Then the king commanded Hilkiah, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Abdon the son of Micah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king's servant, saying,
  1. "이번에 찾아낸 이 책에 있는 말대로라면 나는 어떻게 될 것이며, 살아 남아 있는 이스라엘과 유다인들은 어떻게 될 것인지 야훼께 가서 물어보시오. 우리 선조들이 이 책에 기록되어 있는 야훼의 말씀을 지켜 그대로 살지 아니하였으니, 야훼의 무서운 진노가 진정 우리에게 내리고야 말 것이오."
  2. 힐키야 일행은 어명을 따라 궁중 예복을 책임진 살룸의 아내 여예언자 훌다에게로 갔다. 살룸은 하스라의 손자요 도크핫의 아들이었다. 그들이 예루살렘 신시가에 살고 있는 훌다를 찾아가서 이 일을 묻자,
  3. 훌다는 이렇게 말하였다. "그대들을 나에게 보내신 그분에게 가서 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼의 말씀이라고 하며 이렇게 전하시오.
  4. '나 야훼가 선언한다. 나 이제 이 곳과 여기에 사는 사람들에게 앙화를 내리리라. 유다 왕 앞에서 읽은 그 책에 기록되어 있는 재앙을 다 내리리라.
  5. 그들이 나를 저버리고 손으로 만들어 세운 온갖 우상에게 제물을 살라 바쳐 나의 속을 썩여주었기 때문에 아무도 끄지 못할 나의 진노가 이 곳에 떨어질 것이다.'
  1. "Go, inquire of the LORD for me and for those who are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book which has been found; for great is the wrath of the LORD which is poured out on us because our fathers have not observed the word of the LORD, to do according to all that is written in this book."
  2. So Hilkiah and those whom the king had told went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, the keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter); and they spoke to her regarding this.
  3. She said to them, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Tell the man who sent you to Me,
  4. thus says the LORD, "Behold, I am bringing evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the curses written in the book which they have read in the presence of the king of Judah.
  5. "Because they have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore My wrath will be poured out on this place and it shall not be quenched."'
  1. 그리고 야훼의 뜻을 물어보라고 그대들을 나에게 보낸 유다 왕에게 이렇게 말씀드리시오. '이스라엘의 하느님, 나 야훼가 선언한다. 너는 나의 말을 받아들였다.
  2. 이 곳과 여기에 사는 사람들을 내가 어떻게 하겠다는 말을 듣고 너는 눈앞이 캄캄해져서 하느님 앞에 무릎을 꿇었다. 이렇게 내 앞에서 무릎을 꿇고 옷을 찢으며 통곡하였으므로 나도 너의 말을 들어주기로 하였다. 나 야훼의 말이다.
  3. 들어라. 나는 너를 선조들이 있는 곳으로 데려가리라. 내가 이 곳과 여기에 사는 사람들에게 내릴 앙화를 너는 하나도 보지 아니하고 무사히 네 무덤에 묻힐 것이다.'" 그들은 왕에게로 돌아와 그대로 아뢰었다.
  4. 왕은 유다와 예루살렘의 장로들을 모두 불러모았다.
  5. 왕은 온 유다 국민들과 예루살렘 시민, 사제들과 레위인들, 높고 낮은 백성을 모두 거느리고 야훼의 성전으로 올라가 야훼의 성전에서 찾은 언약법전을 읽어 조목조목 다 들려주었다.
  1. "But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus you will say to him, 'Thus says the LORD God of Israel regarding the words which you have heard,
  2. "Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His words against this place and against its inhabitants, and because you humbled yourself before Me, tore your clothes and wept before Me, I truly have heard you," declares the LORD.
  3. "Behold, I will gather you to your fathers and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, so your eyes will not see all the evil which I will bring on this place and on its inhabitants."'" And they brought back word to the king.
  4. Then the king sent and gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
  5. The king went up to the house of the LORD and all the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests, the Levites and all the people, from the greatest to the least; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.
  1. 그런 후에 기둥 있는 데로 올라가서, 야훼를 따르며 마음을 다 기울이고 정성을 다 바쳐 주신 계명과 훈령과 규정을 지키며 그 언약법전에 있는 계약 조문대로 살기로 야훼와 계약을 맺었다.
  2. 그리고 예루살렘과 베냐민에 모인 모든 사람들을 서약시켰다. 그래서 예루살렘 시민은 그들의 선조들의 하느님과 맺은 계약대로 살게 되었다.
  3. 요시야는 이스라엘에 속한 전지역에서 역겨운 우상들을 없애버리고 이스라엘에 사는 모든 사람들로 하여금 그들의 하느님 야훼를 섬기게 하였다. 그가 살아 있는 동안 사람들은 그들의 선조들의 하느님 야훼를 배신하지 않았다.
  1. Then the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the LORD to walk after the LORD, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant written in this book.
  2. Moreover, he made all who were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand with him. So the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.
  3. Josiah removed all the abominations from all the lands belonging to the sons of Israel, and made all who were present in Israel to serve the LORD their God. Throughout his lifetime they did not turn from following the LORD God of their fathers.
