- 사도인 나 바울로가 이 편지를 씁니다. 나는 사도직을 사람에게서나, 사람을 통해서 받은 것이 아니라 예수 그리스도와 그분을 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살리신 하느님 아버지께로부터 받았습니다.
- 나는 나와 같이 있는 모든 형제들과 함께 갈라디아의 여러 교회에 문안 드리며
- 우리 아버지 하느님과 주 예수 그리스도의 은총과 평화가 여러분에게 내리시기를 빕니다.
- 그리스도께서는 하느님 우리 아버지의 뜻을 따라 우리를 이 악한 세대에서 건져내시려고 우리 죄를 짊어지시고 당신 자신을 제물로 바치셨습니다.
- 하느님 아버지께서 영원토록 영광을 받으시기를 빕니다. 아멘.

- Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),
- and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
- who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
- to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen.

- 그리스도의 은총으로 하느님의 자녀가 된 여러분이 그렇게도 빨리 하느님을 외면하고 또 다른 복음을 따라가고 있다니 놀라지 않을 수 없습니다.
- 사실 다른 복음이란 있을 수 없습니다. 다만 어떤 사람들이 여러분의 마음을 뒤흔들고 그리스도의 복음을 변질시키려 하고 있을 따름입니다.
- 우리는 말할 것도 없고 하늘에서 온 천사라 할지라도 우리가 이미 전한 복음과 다른 것을 여러분에게 전한다면 그는 저주를 받아 마땅합니다.
- 전에도 말한 바 있지만 다시 한 번 강조하겠습니다. 누구든지 여러분이 이미 받은 복음과 다른 것을 전하는 자가 있다면 그는 저주를 받아 마땅합니다.
- 내가 지금 사람들의 지지를 얻으려고 합니까? 아니면 하느님의 지지를 얻으려고 합니까? 내가 사람들의 호감이나 사려는 줄 압니까? 내가 아직도 사람들의 호감을 사려고 한다면 나는 그리스도의 일꾼이 아닐 것입니다.

- I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;
- which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
- But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!
- As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
- For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

- 형제 여러분, 내가 전한 복음은 사람이 만들어낸 것이 아니라는 것을 분명히 말해 둡니다.
- 이 복음은 내가 사람에게서 받은 것도 아니고 배운 것도 아닙니다. 예수 그리스도께서 직접 나에게 계시해 주신 것입니다.
- 내가 전에 유다교 신자였을 때의 소행은 여러분이 다 들었을 터이지만 나는 하느님의 교회를 몹시 박해하였습니다. 아니, 아주 없애버리려고까지 하였습니다.
- 나는 그 때 내 동족 중 동년배들 사이에서는 누구보다도 유다교를 신봉하는 데 앞장섰으며 내 조상들의 전통을 지키는 일에 있어서도 훨씬 더 열성적이었습니다.
- 그러나 하느님께서는 내가 나기 전에 이미 은총으로 나를 택하셔서 불러주셨고

- For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
- For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
- For you have heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it;
- and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ancestral traditions.
- But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, was pleased

- 당신의 아들을 이방인들에게 널리 알리게 하시려고 기꺼이 그 아들을 나에게 나타내 주셨습니다. 그 때 나는 어떤 사람과도 상의하지 않았고
- 또 나보다 먼저 사도가 된 사람들을 만나려고 예루살렘으로 가지도 않았습니다. 나는 곧바로 아라비아로 갔다가 다시 다마스쿠스로 돌아갔습니다.
- 그리고 삼 년 후에 나는 베드로를 만나려고 예루살렘에 올라가서 그와 함께 보름 동안을 지냈습니다.
- 그 때 주님의 동생 야고보 외에 다른 사도는 만나지 않았습니다.
- 내가 여러분에게 써 보내는 이 말이 거짓말이 아니라는 것은 하느님께서 알고 계십니다.

- to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,
- nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to Damascus.
- Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days.
- But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
- (Now in what I am writing to you, I assure you before God that I am not lying.)

- 그 뒤에 나는 시리아와 길리기아 지방으로 갔습니다.

- Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
- I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ;
- but only, they kept hearing, "He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith which he once tried to destroy."
- And they were glorifying God because of me.
