이사야 34:1-36:22

 이사야는 하나님께서 만국을 향해 진노하셔서 그들을 진멸하시고 에돔 땅에서 큰 살륙을 행하실 것이라고 하였다. 그러나 구속함을 입은 자들은 시온에 이르러 기쁨과 즐거움을 얻을 것이라고 예언하였다.
앗수르 왕 산헤립이 유다를 침공하여 하나님과 애굽을 의지하던 히스기야 왕과 그의 백성들을 욕되게 하였다.
  
  열국에 대한 심판(34:1-34:17)    
 
  1. 민족들아! 가까이 와서 내 말을 들어라. 부족들아! 내 말을 귀담아들어라. 땅과 그 안에 가득히 차 있는 것들아, 지구와 거기에서 돋아난 만물들아, 귀를 기울여라.
  2. 야훼께서 모든 민족들에게 노하신다. 그들의 모든 군대를 향해 크게 노하신다. 그들을 전멸하시고, 몰살시키시려 하신다.
  3. 살육된 자들은 거리에 내던져지고 주검들에서 나는 썩는 냄새가 코를 찌른다. 산들은 모두 피로 물들고
  4. 언덕들은 썩어 문드러진다. 하늘이 두루마리인 양 말리고 포도 잎새가 말라 떨어지듯, 무화과나무의 낙엽이 지듯, 별들이 우수수 떨어진다.
  5. 보아라, 그의 칼이 하늘에서 떨어진다. 에돔 위에 마구 떨어진다. 선고에 따라 전멸될 백성 위에 떨어진다.
  1. Draw near, O nations, to hear; and listen, O peoples! Let the earth and all it contains hear, and the world and all that springs from it.
  2. For the LORD'S indignation is against all the nations, And His wrath against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to slaughter.
  3. So their slain will be thrown out, And their corpses will give off their stench, And the mountains will be drenched with their blood.
  4. And all the host of heaven will wear away, And the sky will be rolled up like a scroll; All their hosts will also wither away As a leaf withers from the vine, Or as one withers from the fig tree.
  5. For My sword is satiated in heaven, Behold it shall descend for judgment upon Edom And upon the people whom I have devoted to destruction.
  1. 야훼의 칼에서는 피가 뚝뚝 떨어지고 기름이 엉긴다. 양 새끼와 숫염소의 피로 물들고 숫양의 콩팥 기름으로 절었다. 보스라에서 야훼께 희생제를 드리고 에돔 땅에서 일대 살육제를 올리는 날,
  2. 들소들도 함께 쓰러진다. 황소들도, 젊은 소들도 쓰러진다. 그 피로 땅은 흠뻑 물들고 그 기름으로 먼지가 젖는다.
  3. 야훼께서 원한을 푸실 날, 시온의 원수를 갚아주실 때가 온 것이다.
  4. 에돔의 모든 개울은 역청이 되어 흐르고 에돔의 모든 먼지는 유황이 되며 그 땅은 타오르는 역청바다가 된다.
  5. 밤에도 낮에도 꺼지지 않아 그 연기는 끝없이 치솟는다. 영원히 잿더미로 남아 아무도 그리로 지나가지 아니하리라.
  1. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, It is sated with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
  2. Wild oxen will also fall with them And young bulls with strong ones; Thus their land will be soaked with blood, And their dust become greasy with fat.
  3. For the LORD has a day of vengeance, A year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
  4. Its streams will be turned into pitch, And its loose earth into brimstone, And its land will become burning pitch.
  5. It will not be quenched night or day; Its smoke will go up forever From generation to generation it will be desolate; None will pass through it forever and ever.
  1. 사다새나 고슴도치가 드나들고 부엉이나 까마귀가 깃들이는 곳이 되리라. 야훼께서 측량줄을 대고 허무시며 다림줄을 드리우고 무너뜨리시리라.
  2. 북슬북슬한 염소귀신이나 사는 곳, 귀족들은 얼씬도 못하는 곳이 되리라. 다시는 임금을 세우지 못하는 곳, 고관들을 볼 수 없는 곳이 되리라.
  3. 궁궐마다 딸기덩굴만 무성하고 요새마다 쐐기풀과 가시덤불만 얽혀 자라나고 승냥이가 득실거리며, 타조가 노니는 곳이 되리라.
  4. 들귀신과 물귀신이 만나는 곳, 털이 북슬북슬한 염소귀신이 제 또래를 부르고 도깨비가 안식처를 찾아 서성거리는 곳이 되리라.
  5. 독사가 자리를 잡아 알을 낳고 그 알을 까서 새끼들을 우글거리게 하는 곳, 더러운 새들이 끼리끼리 모여드는 곳이 되리라.
  1. But pelican and hedgehog will possess it, And owl and raven will dwell in it; And He will stretch over it the line of desolation And the plumb line of emptiness.
  2. Its nobles--there is no one there Whom they may proclaim king-- And all its princes will be nothing.
  3. Thorns will come up in its fortified towers, Nettles and thistles in its fortified cities; It will also be a haunt of jackals And an abode of ostriches.
  4. The desert creatures will meet with the wolves, The hairy goat also will cry to its kind; Yes, the night monster will settle there And will find herself a resting place.
  5. The tree snake will make its nest and lay eggs there, And it will hatch and gather them under its protection. Yes, the hawks will be gathered there, Every one with its kind.
  1. 야훼의 기록을 찾아내어 읽어보아라. 이런 모든 짐승들이 빠짐없이 기록되어 있으리라. 그것들은 직접 야훼의 입에서 떨어진 분부를 받아 그의 입김으로 몰려온 것들이다.
  2. 그가 몸소 제비를 뽑아 그들에게 분배해 주시고 손수 측량하시어 각자의 몫으로 나눠주신 땅, 그들이 그 땅을 자기 것으로 삼아 그 곳에서 대를 이어가며 영원히 살리라.
  1. Seek from the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these will be missing; None will lack its mate For His mouth has commanded, And His Spirit has gathered them.
  2. He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it to them by line They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they will dwell in it.
 
  구속받은 자의 기쁨(35:1-35:10)    
 
  1. 메마른 땅과 사막아, 기뻐하여라. 황무지야, 내 기쁨을 꽃피워라.
  2. 아네모네처럼 활짝 피워라. 기뻐 뛰며 환성을 올려라. 황무지도 레바논의 영광으로 빛나고 가르멜과 사론처럼 아름다워져 사람들이 야훼의 영광을 보리라. 우리 하느님의 영광을 보리라.
  3. 늘어진 두 팔에 힘을 주어라. 휘청거리는 두 무릎을 꼿꼿이 세워라.
  4. 겁에 질린 자들을 격려하여라. "용기를 내어라. 무서워하지 마라. 너희의 하느님께서 원수 갚으러 오신다. 하느님께서 오시어 보복하시고 너희를 구원하신다."
  5. 그 때에 소경은 눈을 뜨고 귀머거리는 귀가 열리리라.
  1. The wilderness and the desert will be glad, And the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus
  2. It will blossom profusely And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, The majesty of Carmel and Sharon They will see the glory of the LORD, The majesty of our God.
  3. Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.
  4. Say to those with anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you."
  5. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
  1. 그 때에 절름발이는 사슴처럼 기뻐 뛰며 벙어리도 혀가 풀려 노래하리라. 사막에 샘이 터지고 황무지에 냇물이 흐르리라.
  2. 뜨겁게 타오르던 땅은 늪이 되고 메마른 곳은 샘터가 되며 승냥이가 살던 곳에 갈대와 왕골이 무성하리라.
  3. 그 곳에 크고 정결한 길이 훤하게 트여 '거룩한 길' 이라 불리리라. 부정한 사람은 그리로 지나가지 못하고 어리석은 자들은 서성거리지도 못하리라.
  4. 사자가 얼씬도 못하고 맹수가 돌아다니지 못하는 길, 건짐받은 사람만이 거닐 수 있는 길,
  5. 야훼께서 되찾으신 사람이 이 길을 걸어 시온 산으로 돌아오며 흥겨운 노래를 부르리라. 그들의 머리 위에선 끝없는 행복이 활짝 피어나고 온몸은 기쁨과 즐거움에 젖어들어 아픔과 한숨은 간데없이 스러지리라.
  1. Then the lame will leap like a deer, And the tongue of the mute will shout for joy For waters will break forth in the wilderness And streams in the Arabah.
  2. The scorched land will become a pool And the thirsty ground springs of water; In the haunt of jackals, its resting place, Grass becomes reeds and rushes.
  3. A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.
  4. No lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there But the redeemed will walk there,
  5. And the ransomed of the LORD will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.
 
  랍사게의 조롱(36:1-36:22)    
 
  1. 히즈키야 왕 제십사년에, 아시리아 왕 산헤립이 유다를 침략하여 그 모든 요새화된 성읍들을 점령하였다.
  2. 아시리아 왕은 라기스에서 시종장관에게 상당한 병력을 주어 히즈키야 왕이 있는 예루살렘으로 보냈다. 그는 마전터로 가는 길가 윗저수지 물길 있는 데 이르러 주둔하였다.

  5. 참모도 없고 군대도 없는 주제에 입술의 빈말만으로 싸움을 이길 수 있다고 생각하느냐? 네가 무엇을 믿고 나에게 반역하느냐?
  1. Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and seized them.
  2. And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem to King Hezekiah with a large army And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool on the highway of the fuller's field.
  3. Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came out to him.
  4. Then Rabshakeh said to them, "Say now to Hezekiah, 'Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria, "What is this confidence that you have?
  5. "I say, 'Your counsel and strength for the war are only empty words.' Now on whom do you rely, that you have rebelled against me?
  1. 네가 믿는 이집트는 부러진 갈대에 불과하다. 그것을 지팡이처럼 믿는다마는 그것을 잡았다가는 도리어 손만 베일 것이다. 이집트 왕 파라오는 자기를 믿는 모든 자들에게 그렇게 대한다.
  2. 너희는 나에게 말하기를 너희 하느님 야훼를 믿는다고 하겠지마는 유다와 이스라엘 백성에게 예루살렘에 있는 제단 앞에서만 예배를 드려야 한다고 하며, 야훼의 산당들과 제단을 헐어버린 것이 히즈키야가 아니냐?'
  3. 자, 나의 주인이신 아시리아 왕과 승부를 겨루어보아라. 네가 기수만 내놓을 수 있다면 내가 너에게 말 이천 마리를 줄 터이다.
  4. 너에게 우리 주인의 하잘것없는 졸병 하나인들 물리칠 힘이 있겠느냐? 그러면서 이집트에서 병거나 기병 부대가 오려니 하고 있구나.
  5. 내가 야훼의 분부도 없이 어떻게 이 곳을 치러 올라왔겠느냐? 야훼께서 나에게 일찍이 이 땅을 쳐부수러 올라가라고 분부하셨다."
  1. "Behold, you rely on the staff of this crushed reed, even on Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who rely on him.
  2. "But if you say to me, 'We trust in the LORD our God,' is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has taken away and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, 'You shall worship before this altar'?
  3. "Now therefore, come make a bargain with my master the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able on your part to set riders on them.
  4. "How then can you repulse one official of the least of my master's servants and rely on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?
  5. "Have I now come up without the LORD'S approval against this land to destroy it? The LORD said to me, 'Go up against this land and destroy it.'"'"
  1. 엘리아킴과 셉나와 요아가 시종장관에게 청하였다. "아람어로 말씀해 주시오. 우리는 아람어를 알아들을 수 있습니다. 백성이 성 위에서 듣고 있는데, 유다말로 우리에게 말씀하지 말아주시오."
  2. 시종장관이 대답하였다. "나의 주인께서 너희 상전이나 너희에게만 이 말을 전하라고 나를 보내신 줄 아느냐? 성 위에서 너희와 같이 제 오줌과 제 똥을 먹고 앉아 있는 자들에게도 전하라고 나를 보내신 것이다."
  3. 이어 시종장관은 일어서서 유다말로 크게 외쳤다. "들어라, 아시리아 대왕의 말씀이다.
  4. 대왕께서 말씀하신다. '히즈키야에게 속지 마라. 그가 너희를 구해 내지 못하리라.
  5. 그가 너희를 설득하여 야훼를 의지하자고 하고, 또 야훼가 너희를 구할 것이므로 이 성이 절대로 아시리아 왕에게 함락되지 않는다고 말하더라도 그 말을 믿지 마라.
  1. Then Eliakim and Shebna and Joah said to Rabshakeh, "Speak now to your servants in Aramaic, for we understand it; and do not speak with us in Judean in the hearing of the people who are on the wall."
  2. But Rabshakeh said, "Has my master sent me only to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, doomed to eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?"
  3. Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in Judean and said, "Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.
  4. "Thus says the king, 'Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you;
  5. nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, "The LORD will surely deliver us, this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."
  1. 히즈키야가 하는 말은 듣지 마라.' 아시리아 왕께서 말씀하신다. '나와 강화 조약을 맺자. 나에게 항복하여라. 그리하면 너희는 각기 자기가 재배하는 포도와 무화과를 먹을 수 있게 되고 자기 물통의 물을 마실 수 있게 될 것이다.
  2. 때가 되면 내가 와서 너희의 조국 땅과 다름없는 땅 곧 곡식과 새 포도주가 나고 떡과 과일이 넉넉한 땅에 너희를 정착시키리라.
  3. 히즈키야의 말을 듣지 마라. 그는 야훼가 너희를 구해 줄 것이라고 말하여 너희를 그릇 인도할 뿐이다. 그 어느 민족의 신이 아시리아 왕으로부터 자기 영토를 구하였더냐?
  4. 하맛과 아르밧의 신들은 어디 갔느냐? 스발와임의 신들은 어디 갔느냐? 사마리아 땅의 신들은 어디 갔느냐? 그들이 사마리아를 내 손에서 건졌더냐?
  5. 여러 민족의 신들 중에 자기 영토를 나에게서 구해 낸 신이 하나라도 있었느냐? 야훼가 어찌 예루살렘을 구하겠느냐?'"
  1. 'Do not listen to Hezekiah,' for thus says the king of Assyria, 'Make your peace with me and come out to me, and eat each of his vine and each of his fig tree and drink each of the waters of his own cistern,
  2. until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.
  3. 'Beware that Hezekiah does not mislead you, saying, "The LORD will deliver us." Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?
  4. 'Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? And when have they delivered Samaria from my hand?
  5. 'Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their land from my hand, that the LORD would deliver Jerusalem from my hand?'"
  1. 그러나 백성들은 침묵을 지키고 아무런 대답도 하지 않았다. 적장의 말에 아무 대꾸도 하지 말라고 히즈키야 왕이 명령했기 때문이었다.
  2. 궁내대신 힐키야의 아들 엘리아킴과 시종무관 셉나와 공보대신 아삽의 아들 요아는 옷을 찢으며 히즈키야 왕에게 돌아가서 적의 시종장관이 한 말을 모두 보고하였다.
  1. But they were silent and answered him not a word; for the king's commandment was, "Do not answer him."
  2. Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn and told him the words of Rabshakeh.
