- 불의하게 살면 기다리던 것도 죽음과 함께 수포로 돌아간다. 허튼 짓을 하면 바라던 것도 물거품이 된다.
- 착하게 살면 곤경에서도 빠져 나오지만 나쁜 일 하다가는 도리어 거기에 빠져든다.
- 하느님을 저버린 사람은 혀로 이웃을 죽이지만 착한 사람은 기도로 이웃을 살린다.
