예레미야 51:59-52:34

 하나님께서 바벨론의 멸망을 기록한 책을 유브라데 강에 빠뜨리도록 하심으로 바벨론의 영원한 멸망을 예고하셨다. 시드기야 왕이 바벨론을 배반하자, 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살은 군대를 이끌고 와서 예루살렘을 포위하고 시드기야 왕을 체포했으며 백성들을 포로로 잡아갔다. 뿐만 아니라 성전을 훼파하고 성전 기물들을 노략해 갔다. 여호야긴 왕은 사로잡혀 간 지 37년 만에 바벨론 왕에 의해 석방되었다.
  
  바벨론의 영원한 멸망(51:59-51:64)    
 
  1. 마아세야의 손자요 네리야의 아들인 스라야는 시드키야 왕의 행차를 보살피는 사람이었다. 유다 왕 시드키야 제사년에 스라야가 왕명을 받아 바빌론으로 갈 때, 예언자 예레미야가 그에게 내린 명령이다.
  2. 예레미야는 바빌론에 내릴 이 모든 재앙을 한 책에 기록하여 주며
  3. 스라야에게 일렀다. "그대가 바빌론에 가거든, 이 모든 말씀을 반드시 다 읽도록 하시오.
  4. 그리고 야훼께 이렇게 아뢰시오. '야훼여, 주께서는 이 곳을 송두리째 뿌리뽑아 사람도 짐승도 살 수 없게 하시겠다고 하셨습니다. 바빌론이 영원토록 폐허로 남아 있으리라고 하셨습니다.'
  5. 이 책을 다 읽고 나거든 책에 돌을 달아 유프라테스 강 물 속에 던지시오.
  1. The message which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the grandson of Mahseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah to Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. (Now Seraiah was quartermaster.)
  2. So Jeremiah wrote in a single scroll all the calamity which would come upon Babylon, that is, all these words which have been written concerning Babylon.
  3. Then Jeremiah said to Seraiah, "As soon as you come to Babylon, then see that you read all these words aloud,
  4. and say, 'You, O LORD, have promised concerning this place to cut it off, so that there will be nothing dwelling in it, whether man or beast, but it will be a perpetual desolation.'
  5. "And as soon as you finish reading this scroll, you will tie a stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates,
  1. 던지며 이렇게 말하시오. '이처럼 바빌론은 물에 가라앉으리라. 내가 내리는 재앙을 당한 후에, 다시는 일어나지 못하리라.'" 여기까지가 예레미야의 말이다.
  1. and say, 'Just so shall Babylon sink down and not rise again because of the calamity that I am going to bring upon her; and they will become exhausted '" Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
 
  함락된 예루살렘(52:1-52:34)    
 
  1. 시드키야는 이십일 세 때 왕위에 올라 십일 년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 리브나 출신 예레미야의 딸로서 이름은 하무달이라고 했다.
  2. 시드키야는 여호야킴이 했듯이 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다.
  3. 예루살렘과 유다는 야훼의 진노를 사서 마침내 그 앞에서 쫓겨나고 말았다. 시드키야가 바빌론 왕에게 반기를 들었다.
  4. 그래서 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살은 시드키야 왕 구년 시월 십일, 전군을 이끌고 예루살렘을 침공하여 성을 포위하고 사면에 토성을 쌓았다.
  5. 이 포위는 시드키야 왕 십일년까지 계속되었다.
  1. Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD like all that Jehoiakim had done.
  3. For through the anger of the LORD this came about in Jerusalem and Judah until He cast them out from His presence And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
  4. Now it came about in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, camped against it and built a siege wall all around it.
  5. So the city was under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
  1. 그 해 성에 기근이 혹심하여 식량이 떨어지자 일반 서민들은 굶주려 죽게 되었는데, 사월 구일에 드디어
  2. 성벽이 뚫렸다. 그러자 왕은 모든 군인들을 이끌고 왕실 정원으로 나가는 두 성벽 사이 짬에 있는 문으로 성을 빠져 나가 밤을 도와 아라바 쪽으로 도망하였다. 성을 포위하고 있던
  3. 바빌론 군이 시드키야 왕을 추적하여 예리고의 들판에서 잡자 왕의 군대는 산산이 흩어져 버렸다.
  4. 바빌론 군대가 왕을 사로잡아 하맛 지방 리블라에 주둔하고 있는 바빌론 왕에게로 끌고 가자 바빌론 왕이 그를 심문하였다.
  5. 그는 시드키야의 아들들을 그가 보는 데서 살해하고 유다의 대신들도 모두 리블라에서 죽였다.
  1. On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.
  2. Then the city was broken into, and all the men of war fled and went forth from the city at night by way of the gate between the two walls which was by the king's garden, though the Chaldeans were all around the city. And they went by way of the Arabah.
  3. But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him.
  4. Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him.
  5. The king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also slaughtered all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
  1. 바빌론 왕은 시드키야의 눈을 뽑은 다음 쇠사슬로 묶어 바빌론으로 끌어다가 죽을 때까지 감옥에 가두어두었다.
  2. 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살 제십구년 오월 십일에 바빌론 왕의 측근인 친위대장 느부사라단이 예루살렘에 입성하여
  3. 야훼의 전과 왕궁과 예루살렘 성 안 건물을 모두 불태웠다. 큰 집은 모두 불탔다.
  4. 친위대장을 따르는 바빌론 군인들은 예루살렘 성벽을 돌아가며 모조리 허물었다.
  5. 친위대장 느부사라단은 도성에 남아 있던 민간인과 바빌론 왕에게 투항하였던 사람들과 살아 남은 기술자들을 포로로 데려갔다.
  1. Then he blinded the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him with bronze fetters and brought him to Babylon and put him in prison until the day of his death.
  2. Now on the tenth day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, who was in the service of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
  3. He burned the house of the LORD, the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every large house he burned with fire.
  4. So all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down all the walls around Jerusalem.
  5. Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away into exile some of the poorest of the people, the rest of the people who were left in the city, the deserters who had deserted to the king of Babylon and the rest of the artisans.
  1. 그리고 백성들 중 가장 비천한 층의 사람들만 남겨두어 포도원을 가꾸고 농사를 짓게 하였다.
  2. 바빌론 군대는 야훼의 성전에서 놋기둥들, 놋받침대, 놋바다 등을 해체하여 모두 바빌론으로 가져갔다.
  3. 예식에 쓰이는 재받이와 부삽과 가위와 물뿌리개와 작은 향합과 그 밖의 모든 놋기구들은 그대로 가져갔다.
  4. 친위대장은 또 잔들과 화로, 피 담는 그릇, 재받이, 등잔대, 대접, 접시 등 금은 그릇을 가져갔다.
  5. 놋기둥 두 개와 놋받침대, 놋바다 한 개, 큰 물항아리를 받치려고 놋쇠로 만든 소 열두 개 등, 솔로몬 왕이 야훼의 성전에 만들어 놓았던 이 놋기구들은 그 무게를 이루 측량할 수가 없을 정도였다.
  1. But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and plowmen.
  2. Now the bronze pillars which belonged to the house of the LORD and the stands and the bronze sea, which were in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans broke in pieces and carried all their bronze to Babylon.
  3. They also took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the basins, the pans and all the bronze vessels which were used in temple service.
  4. The captain of the guard also took away the bowls, the firepans, the basins, the pots, the lampstands, the pans and the drink offering bowls, what was fine gold and what was fine silver.
  5. The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the sea, and the stands, which King Solomon had made for the house of the LORD--the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.
  1. 기둥만 해도 높이가 열여덟 자에 둘레는 열두 자였다. 기둥 속은 비었지만 놋쇠 두께는 네 손가락 나비나 되었다.
  2. 기둥 위에는 놋쇠로 만든 대접받침이 있었는데, 그 높이가 다섯 자였다. 그 대접받침 둘레에는 놋쇠로 만든 망이 쳐져 있고, 그 망에는 석류 모양의 장식이 달려 있었다. 둘째 기둥도 마찬가지였다.
  3. 철망에 달려 있는 석류는 모두 백 개였는데 밖에 드러난 것은 아흔여섯 개였다.
  4. 친위대장은 대사제 스라야, 부사제 스바니야, 그리고 정문 수위 세 명을 체포하였다.
  5. 성 안에서는 군사령관이던 내시 한 사람과 도성에 남아 있던 어전 시종 일곱 사람과 징병 업무를 보던 부사령관과 그 밖에 도성에 들어와 있던 지방민 가운데서 육십 명을 붙잡았다.
  1. As for the pillars, the height of each pillar was eighteen cubits, and it was twelve cubits in circumference and four fingers in thickness, and hollow.
  2. Now a capital of bronze was on it; and the height of each capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capital all around, all of bronze. And the second pillar was like these, including pomegranates.
  3. There were ninety-six exposed pomegranates; all the pomegranates numbered a hundred on the network all around.
  4. Then the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest and Zephaniah the second priest, with the three officers of the temple.
  5. He also took from the city one official who was overseer of the men of war, and seven of the king's advisers who were found in the city, and the scribe of the commander of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the midst of the city.
  1. 친위대장 느부사라단은 이들을 모두 리블라에 머무르고 있던 바빌론 왕에게 넘겼다.
  2. 그 곳 하맛 땅 리블라에서 바빌론 왕은 그들을 처형하였다. 이렇게 유다 백성들은 사로잡혀 고국을 떠나게 되었다.
  3. 느부갓네살 왕에게 사로잡혀 간 유다인들의 수효가 제칠년에는 삼천 명하고도 스물세 사람이었다.
  4. 느부갓네살 제십팔년에도 예루살렘의 유다인 팔백삼십이 명이 사로잡혀 갔다.
  5. 느부갓네살 제이십삼년에는 유다인 칠백사십오 명이 친위대장 느부사라단에게 사로잡혀 갔다. 그래서 통틀어 사천육백 명이 사로잡혀 갔다.
  1. Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
  2. Then the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath So Judah was led away into exile from its land.
  3. These are the people whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away into exile: in the seventh year 3,023 Jews;
  4. in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar 832 persons from Jerusalem;
  5. in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried into exile 745 Jewish people; there were 4,600 persons in all.
  1. 유다 왕 여호야긴이 사로잡혀 간 지 삼십칠 년이 되던 해 십이월 이십오일, 에윌므로닥이 바빌론 왕으로 등극하면서 유다 왕이었던 여호야긴에게 특사를 베풀어 출감시키고,
  2. 바빌론에 사로잡혀 있던 다른 왕들보다 윗자리에 앉혀 우대하였다.
  3. 여호야긴은 죄수복을 벗고 일생 동안 어전에서 음식을 들었다.
  4. 그는 죽는 날까지 계속하여 바빌론 왕에게서 녹을 받아 날마다 아쉬운 것 없이 지냈다.
  1. Now it came about in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, showed favor to Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.
  2. Then he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the thrones of the kings who were with him in Babylon.
  3. So Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes, and had his meals in the king's presence regularly all the days of his life.
  4. For his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king of Babylon, a daily portion all the days of his life until the day of his death.
