- 마음이 슬기로운 사람을 현자라 부른다. 말이 부드러우면 그 가르침을 잘 받아들인다.
- 슬기로운 사람에겐 슬기가 생명의 샘이 되나 어리석은 사람에겐 그 어리석음이 벌이 된다.
- 마음이 슬기로운 사람은 말이 어질어서 그 가르치는 말이 지식을 더해 준다.
- 다정스러운 말은 꿀송이 같아 입에는 달고 몸에는 생기를 준다.
